Die vorliegende Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Vorrichtung, die die bei der Krankenpflege verwendeten sogenannten Eisblasen ersetzen soll. Letztere bestehen gewöhnlich aus einem Gummistoff beutel, in welchen Eis eingegeben wird. Sie haben jedoch den Nachtheil, dafs die damit zu kühlenden Körpertheile direct von der niedrigen Temperatur, wie sie durch das schmelzende Eis unveränderlich geboten ist, getroffen werden, so dafs diese Beutel daher eine Aenderung bezw. Erhöhung der Temperatur an der Berühr-ungsstelle nicht zulassen. Durch vorliegende Erfindung wird es jedoch möglich, die Temperatur der Kühlfläche innerhalb gewisser Grenzen zu ändern und unabhängig von jener des Kühlmittels zu wählen. Die Construction des neuen Apparates ist auf der beiliegenden Zeichnung veranschaulicht, welche den Apparat zum Theil in Ansicht, zum Theil im Schnitt darstellt. Er besteht aus einem Hohlgefäfs α aus Aluminium oder einem anderen geeigneten Stoflfe, welcher unten mit einer Oeffriung zum Einfüllen des Kühlmittels versehen ist. Diese Oeffhung wird vermittelst eines Korkstöpsels b geschlossen. In den oberen Theil des Gefäfses ist eine Ringnuth eingedrückt, welche einen weichen Metalldraht c aufnimmt. Dieser Draht dient dazu, ein beutelartig gestaltetes Stück Gummistoff d luftdicht auf dem Boden e des Gefäfses a zu befestigen. Der luftdichte Gummistoff ist mit einem Luftventile f zum Einpressen von Luft in den zwischen dem ebenen Boden e und dem Gummituch befindlichen Raum versehen. Ein becherförmiger Mantel g ohne Boden umgiebt das Hohlgefäfs α in der Weise, dafs ein Zwischenraum h zur Aufnahme eines schlechten Wärmeleiters gebildet wird. Die obere Oeffnung des Zwischenraumes wird mittels eines im Querschnitt hakenförmigen Ringes i abgedeckt, der von dem Draht c gehalten wird. Der Korkstöpsel b ist mit einem Ring k versehen, der besonders dem Zwecke dient, mittels einer daran befestigten Schnur die Kühlblase während der Verwendung in ihrer Lage festzuhalten. Als Kühlfläche dient die Oberfläche des Beutels d, und es kann eine gröfsere oder geringere Einwirkung des in α enthaltenen Kühlmittels auf den zu kühlenden Körpertheil erzielt werden, je nachdem die als schlechter Wärmeleiter wirkende Luftschicht zwischen e und d durch Aufblasen des Beutels vergröfsert oder durch Luftauslafs verringert wird.The present invention relates to a device intended to replace the so-called ice bubbles used in nursing.
