Air flow mill The invention relates to the formation of an air flow mill
with horizontally rotating grinding bowl, on the circumference of which blades between parallel
extending side limits are arranged and these blades with the side limits
Form individual air ducts, the cross-sectional area of which is in a, namely in a tangential
Widened direction and in the direction of the gas flow. In known air flow mills
In this design, the blades consist of straight webs and have an inclination of
30 to 40% to the horizontal, so that inclined passage channels with evenly formed
Walls arise. The task of these blades is to prevent the flowing through
To direct the amount of air in a predetermined same direction, falling grist
to slow down when it falls and also part of the space within
of the annular gap to be filled with a required passage cross-section
the width of the gap in the radial direction does not become too small. In that achieved
Gap cross-section is an air speed of about 40 to 100 m / sec. achieved.
In these known air flow mills, however, there is the disadvantage that as a result of
flat design of the blades is not the cheapest according to the latest findings
The air flow is deflected, so that there is considerable wear and tear on the blades
occurs especially with sharp-edged goods. Also occurs as a result of the constant
Passage cross-section, the air velocity at the outlet is too high. These
Excessively high air speed affects the calm and steady airspeed
Running of the mill, which increases the energy requirement and the wear and tear of the grinding parts
is accelerated. Occasionally there is even the case that as a result of excessive air speed
coarse regrind parts through the sifter arranged above the regrind parts into the
Manage the estate. Such coarse grains can be the extracted product under certain circumstances
to make something useless. Eventually, by too high a speed at the exit
the channels favor the formation of a cloud of material in the grinding chamber of the mill,
which can cause operational disruptions.
A ball squeegee mill is known in which the one just trained
Annular gap penetrated by guide vanes widens downwards and the guide vanes
are shaped such that the passage cross-sections for in their entire area
the carrier air are the same or nearly the same. With this blade arrangement
as a result of the constant passage cross-sections, the air speed at the
Exit of the annular gap very large. The use of newly formed blades
in the annular gap prevents the flow channels from being formed in a fluidically favorable manner.
The conversion of the velocity pressure into static pressure is not yet here
solved satisfactorily, with the resistance of the blade ring correspondingly
is high.
It is also known in fluid flow machines, such. B. in turbines
or pumps, using profiled blades with surface curvature. These shovels
are usually rounded at the entry of the flow and run in opposite directions
the exit slim out. This use of blades with surface curvature
does not suggest, however, to a person skilled in the art, blades in the annular gap of a mill construction
to be arranged in such a way that passage channels of a certain leadership and quality
arise as a result of a diffuser-like enlargement of the cross-sectional area
from bottom to top especially for the air transport of fine-grained or dusty
Material are suitable. The known blade arrangements leave such a channel formation
not seen.
The invention consists in that per se known profiled blades
are arranged with surface curvature such that with constant width
in the radial direction the passage channels from the lower to the upper end one
have increasing cross-sectional area.
in radialer Richtung aufweisen.
In another embodiment of the invention, these are the above
Mouths of the passage channels forming surfaces of the grinding table as an edge
attached storage ring and a bead armor protecting the housing arched in such a way that
that these mouths between the damming ring and the bulge armor have a steady increase in cross-section
have in the radial direction.
According to the invention, the
Be mentioned profiling in the tangential direction such that the blades on
the bottom convex in the lower part, concave in the upper part and on the upper side
are slightly convexly curved, so that due to the resulting curvature of the
Center line of the passage channel a deflection of the air flow reducing the slope
he follows. With such a design, the more the cross-sectional area of the passage channel
increases and the speed of the gas flow decreases, too
the angle of inclination is reduced. This also reduces the risk of good parts
falling behind in the air flow despite the decreasing speeds.
Through the invention, with very favorable fluidic guidance
the air flow achieved a reduction in the exit speed of the air flow.
This ensures that the mill runs more smoothly, even when it is difficult to process
Materials achieved. Years of testing have shown that so far
so annoying formation of a cloud of partially crushed grist inside the
Mill as good as not happening. Under these new operating conditions, too
the wear of the blade ring and other mill parts is considerably reduced.
The drying process in the
Mill designed because the exit speed of the gas flow carrying the grist
has decreased and because the overflow over the storage ring of the grinding bowl
So it's good to fall into the blade ring and from there the one coming from below
Hot gas is touched intensively. But perhaps it is of particular importance that
in the case of the blade ring according to the invention, the curvature which is favorable in terms of flow technology
the passage channels are made exclusively by replaceable blades,
which are arranged between parallel side boundaries. This training
First there is the possibility of mill constructions with flat blades
to rebuild without major difficulties and significant costs, so the parallel
running side borders can be retained.

the invention relates, denoted by 1. From Fig. 3 there is a preferred one

it should be noted that the blade heads are curved in such a way that a
low air resistance occurs. The storage ring is on the edge of the grinding table 2
