Zum Tragen von Hosen, Röcken u. dgl. sind Träger in Form von elastischen Gummibändern bekannt, die gewöhnlich über die Schultern laufen und an verschiedenen Stellen an der Hose befestigt werden. Diese Träger wirken unschön, wenn sie bei Ablegen der Oberbekleidung, z. B. der Jacke, sichtbar werden. Gürtel, die oft an Stelle solcher Träger verwendet werden, schnüren den Körper ein und besitzen gesundheitliche Nachteile. Es ist auch schon bekannt, Blusen mit Röcken durch Knopfverschlüsse zu verbinden, um so die Verwendung besonderer Haltevorrichtungen zu vermeiden. Dabei wirkt jedoch störend, daß besondere Knopflöcher angebracht werden müssen. Außerdem engen solche Verbindungen mangels Dehnbarkeit die Körperbewegungen ein.
