Um einen Verschlufs gemäfs der Erfindung zu erreichen, mufs das zu verschliefsende Rohr α an seinem Ende mit einer Reihe von Ausschnitten b versehen sein, welche rund um seinen Rand vertheilt sind. Es sind drei Theile, welche den Verschlufs bewirken, nämlich erstens ein Ring c, welcher sich leicht in das Ende des Rohres α einsetzen läfst und aufsen mit Haken d versehen ist, welche in die Ausschnitte b des Rohres hineinfassen, so dafs der Ring c nach Art eines Bajonettverschlusses festgehalten wird ·, zweitens ein Bolzen f, dessen Kopf e im Durchmesser etwas kleiner als der des Rohres α ist, damit er leicht in dasselbe eintreten kann. Der Bolzen selbst hat einen Durchmesser, welcher der Oeffhung des Ringes c entspricht, und ist mit einer Mutter g versehen; drittens eine Scheibe h von geschmeidigem Metall, z. B. Kupfer, welche vortheilhaft die Gestalt eines abgestumpften Kegels erhält. Ihr äufserer und innerer Durchmesser ist derart gewählt, dafs man sie bequem einerseits in das Rohr α einsetzen, andererseits auf dem Bolzen f verschieben kann.In order to achieve a closure according to the invention, the tube to be closed α must be provided at its end with a series of cutouts b which are distributed around its edge.
