Einlaßkanal exzentrisch in diesen Raum mündet.Device for charging, flushing and cooling of interconnected
four-stroke internal combustion engines provided with external intake and internal exhaust valves
by means of a fan For charging, flushing and cooling four-stroke internal combustion engines
by means of fans, those with outer inlet and inner outlet valves guided one inside the other
are provided, it is known in the inlet valve body comprising the outlet valve
Provide passage openings for the exhaust gases and for the purpose of generating a scavenging air rotary movement
to form the fresh air space surrounding the inlet valve in a spiral shape, the
Inlet channel opens eccentrically into this space.
Furthermore, it is known that the rotary movement of the purge air not only on
Cause cylinder inlet, but also at the cylinder outlet, through
spiral design of the exhaust space and eccentric arrangement of the outlet channel.
The invention resides in a device of the known type mentioned above
Kind in that also the one around the passage openings of the inlet valve body
arranged exhaust gas space formed spirally and the outlet channel eccentrically too
this space is arranged so that during the flushing period in the space between the
Inlet and outlet valve a rotary movement of the flushing air passing through around the valve axis
arises or is amplified there, namely a scavenging air movement rotating in the same direction
like the scavenging air movement generated before the inlet valve inlet.
In letzterem befindet
19 durch Leitung 25.Due to the interaction of these measures according to the invention, the cooling of the internal combustion engine is increased beyond what has been achieved so far, which results in an increase in the efficiency and the service life of the machine. The arrangement is preferably such that the scavenging air circulates several times in the space between the two valves during the scavenging period. The figures show an embodiment of the invention. 1 shows the vertical section through a cylinder of an internal combustion engine according to the invention, FIG. 2 shows the section along line VI-VI to FIG. 1, FIG. 3 shows the section along line VII-VII to FIG. 1. In FIG. 1 denotes the cylinder block with 1, the cylinder liner with 1 ', the crankshaft with 2, the push rod with 3, the piston with 4 and the cylinder end with 6. In the latter there is the inlet valve 7 and the outlet valve 8 concentric to it. The inlet valve 7 is opened by its control cam 9 seated on the control shaft 5 via rod 10, lever 11 and spring plate 12 and closed again by spiral spring 13 at the appropriate time. The outlet valve 8 is opened by a cam 14, linkage 15 and lever 16 seated on the control shaft 5 and closed by a double-sided hairpin spring 17 with the intermediary of the fork lever 18. The machine is equipped with a supercharger 20 driven by an exhaust gas turbine 19, which leads flushing and charge air to the inlet valve 7 through line 21 and housing 26. When the exhaust valve 8 is opened, the exhaust gases from the machine pass into the exhaust duct 22 and from there into the inlet 24 of the exhaust gas turbine 19. The exhaust gas turbine has two inlets 23 and 24. so that the exhaust processes in the individual cylinders do not interfere with the flushing processes in the other cylinders. This is particularly advantageous in the case of exhaust gas turbines operating with pressure surges. The gases leave the exhaust gas turbine 19 through line 25.
37 in Fig. 1 angedeutet.
In Fig. 2 you can see how the scavenging and charge air through the channel
26 flows from line 21 into the cylinder closure 6. The continuation 26 'of the channel
26 surrounds the inlet valve 7 in a spiral shape, so that the flushing and charge air entering
executes a rotary movement around the inlet valve 7, as indicated by the arrows 27
is.
The outlet channel 22 (Fig. 3) is eccentric to the common
Valve axis 29. The space around the bell-shaped part of the inlet valve 7,
through which the exhaust gases passing between the two valves in the Auslaßkana122
reach is formed spirally, such that a rotational movement therein accordingly
the arrows 34 takes place. The sense of rotation is the same as that of the entering
Purge and charge air (arrows 27 in Fig. 2). This also makes a rotary motion
generated in the space between the inlet valve 17 and the outlet valve 8, i.e. h., it
this rotary movement is intensified, which means that the parts mentioned have increased cooling
Experienced. If one compared to the speed in the direction of the longitudinal axis
The valves generate a high turbulence speed, the path of the purge air becomes
between the two valves extended considerably, which is further intensification
the cooling of these parts. How the vortices before and after the inlet valve
as well as between the two valves is indicated by the arrow lines 35, 36,
37 indicated in FIG. 1. These purge air vortices also affect the bell of the
Inlet valve and its webs 33 as well as on the valve stem 30 and all in the vicinity
located exhaust gas leading parts 22 etc. from favorable.
