Electromagnetically controlled flashing light signal system with a control magnet
and a control magnet for motor vehicles. The invention relates to a flashing light signal system
with a control magnet and a control magnet for motor vehicles with optional
trailers and more than three flashing lights on each side of the train
and relates to the visual function check of the system. Purpose of the invention
is to ensure the display of the optical control device, independent
whether the motor vehicle is traveling alone, with one or more trailers. Both
known flashing light signal systems of this type, the entire flashing light current flows
through the control magnet. If a light bulb fails, one of the two draws
Control anchor no longer on, so that the associated light bulb goes out. This system
works flawlessly with systems that do not have more than three light bulbs
on each side. It fails if this number of bulbs is exceeded.
The reason is that the total operating amperage of a larger number of
Incandescent lamps change only slightly if one lamp fails, whereby still
it must be taken into account that the current consumption of three incandescent lamps at maximum voltage
the battery is almost the same as the power consumption of four incandescent lamps at minimum voltage
the battery. The difficulty that has arisen here has so far been overcome by
that one arranges two flasher units on the train carriage. You take the disadvantage
in purchase that two flasher units never work in unison.
The invention now shows another way, the difficulty indicated
overcome by dividing the turn signal light circuit into at least two
Individual circuits, one of which feeds the indicator lights of the towing vehicle and
at the same time the excitation development of the equipped with an additional control armature
Control magnet forms, while the second individual circuit is the excitation winding of the
in a known manner equipped with two armatures control magnets feeds and to
the turn signal lights of the trailer (s). One uses a power switch
well-known two-circuit switch, the first circuit of which is on the turn signal lights of the towing vehicle
and whose second circle acts on the indicators of the trailer or trailers.
This division of the turn signal light circuit is achieved
that each excitation winding at the most from the current of three incandescent lamps at the same time
is flowed through, while usually only two incandescent lamps are connected.
If an incandescent lamp fails, the flowing current is weakened by a third or
by half, so that the security of display or non-display is ensured
is. If you are only carrying one trailer, the control magnet for
two trailers provided towing car only half of the rated current, so that only the
an armature dimensioned for this amperage is attracted and only accordingly
a control lamp lights up. They only work when you have two trailers with you
Control lamps, because then the full rated current flows and both armatures are attracted.
The drawing shows a circuit diagram of the flashing light signal system
the invention on the basis of a towing vehicle with two trailers.
bzw. 4 tragen.
The towing vehicle Z has the indicators 1 and 2 on each side, while the trailers A 1 and A 2 carry the indicators 3 and 4, respectively. The control magnet 5 and the control magnet 6 are arranged on the towing vehicle. In addition to the hot-wire-controlled armature 7, the control magnet also has the additional control armature 8 with the associated control lamp 9, while the armatures 10 and 11 with their control lamps 12 and 13 are assigned to the control magnet 6. The turn signal light circuit is divided into the individual circuit E 1, which at the same time forms the excitation winding 14 of the control magnet 5 and feeds the turn signal lights of the towing vehicle, and into the second individual circuit E2, which flows through the current coil 15 of the control magnet 6 and leads via the dual circuit switch 16 to the trailer turn signal lights . For trains with more than two trailers, the system can be expanded with additional control magnets connected in parallel.
The mode of operation of the system is as follows: When operating the towing vehicle
Z alone works only the control magnet 5 with its control armature 8, so that only
the associated control lamp 9 lights up when both indicators, one. page
burn. If one of the lights fails, the armature 8 is cut by half as a result
reduced current flow is no longer attracted, and the control lamp lights up accordingly
no longer open.
Beim Fahren mit dem einen Anhänger A 1 wird der Kontrollmagnet 6 erregt;
A 1 und A 2
When driving with one trailer A 1, the control magnet 6 is energized; but only with half the nominal current, so that only the control armature 10, which is matched to half the nominal current, is attracted when the trailer flashing light is on and the control lamp 12 lights up. In the event of a failure of the trailer turn signal light, this control lamp will not light up either. When driving with both trailers A 1 and A 2 and the resulting flow of the full nominal current through the control magnet 6, both the control armature 10, which is adjusted to half the nominal amperage, and the armature 11 , which is adjusted to the full nominal amperage, are attracted. If one of the two trailer flashing lights fails, only the correspondingly coordinated control armature 10 is attracted to the half of the nominal current that is now flowing again. The then no longer illuminated control lamp 13, which belongs to the anchor 11, indicates that one of the trailer flashing lights has failed.
