Beim Bau von Fenstern, Türen und Wänden aus Leichtbau-Hohlprofilen, nämlich dünnwandigen
Stahl-Hohlprofilen und Aluminium-Hohlprofilen, gewinnt das Kleben immer mehr an
Bedeutung gegenüber dem Schweißen. Es ist möglich, Klebverbindungen bei Leichtbau-Hohlprofilen
herzustellen, die - sachgemäße Ausführung vorausgesetzt - Schweißverbindungen meist
überlegen sind. Vor allem sind Klebverbindungen billiger herzustellen als Schweißverbindungen.
Außer einem geeigneten erprobten Kleber, eines einwandfreien Zustandes der Klebflächen
und einem genauen und sauberen Schnitt der Stoßkanten der zu Rahmen zusammenzufügenden
Profile ist allerdings das Vorhandensein geeigneter Gerad-, Winkel-, T- und Kreuzverbindungsstücke
die erste Voraussetzung hierfür. Verwendung finden gegossene Verbindungsstücke bzw.
auch solche aus dünnwandigen Rohren zusammengeschweißte. Der Nachteil solcher Verbindungsstücke
ist, daß sie teuer in der Herstellung sind, wenn sie den bei Klebverbindungen nötigen

Kreuzverbindungsstücke, wobei 6 und 10 eine komplette zweiteilige Gerad- und Winkelverbindung,
7, 8 und 9 dagegen nur je eine Hälfte einer Winkel-, T- und Kreuzverbindung
darstellen. Das Winkelverbindungsstück 6 ist geeignet für die Profile 1, 2 und 3.
Die auf Gehrung geschnittenen, zu einem Winkel zusammenzufügenden Profile werden
auf die Verbindungsstücke aufgepreßt, nachdem diese sowohl als auch die Innenflächen
der Profile mit dem Kleber bestrichen wurden. Die Anwendung des Klebers muß selbstverständlich
genau nach den Anweisungen des Herstellers geschehen. Zur Herstellung einer geklebten
Eckverbindung der Profile 3-5, 3-4, 2-5 oder 2-4 wird je ein Verbindungsstück 6
