Description
Machine for cold pressure welding of bimetal parts The invention relates on a machine for cold pressure welding of bimetal parts, in particular bimetal contact rivets.
Bimetal contact rivets, which mostly consist of the pairing silver / copper, were previously formed from slugs, which in turn were punched out of bimetallic sheet or were cut. This regularly resulted in bimetallic waste, which resulted in costly Way the precious metal had to be divorced. Numerous processes are known the production of bimetal contact rivets by reducing or avoiding the To make waste more economical. Another disadvantage of these known methods for the production of bimetal contact rivets is that the punched or cut-out slugs by a special device or usually even by hand the punching or cutting tool transported to the rivet forming tool and there had to be inserted.
These drawbacks could be avoided if you didn't get the rivets from previously punched or cut bimetal slugs, but formed from wire, as is known in the manufacture of bolts or rivets from monometal. Of the Manufacture of bimetal parts in this way contradicts that apparently can not succeed in cutting wire sections of different metal on economic Way to connect. For this reason, all known methods are also continuous Production of bimetal contacts from prefabricated bimetal semi-finished products z. B. in shape from stripes. For joining the two metals to form bimetallic semi-finished products, in particular Sheet metal, it is known among other things, the two components by cold pressure welding to unite. The use of this known process in the manufacture of Bimetal contacts directly from the wires of the metal components stood the fact contrary to the fact that by way of cold pressure welding with formation substantially above the Wire diameter of enlarged contact surfaces to be connected to one another Metal surfaces are always clean to a high degree and free from exposure to air must be forming oxide skins if the weld is to be successful. It didn't seem It is conceivable that the blunt wire ends on one for the mass production of Bimetal contacts would be able to be cleaned in an economical manner before the welding process.
This prejudice is now surprising in the machine of the invention easily overcome in that at least for the base metal component forming wire is used as a die a device known per se, the from one serving to guide the wire and at its outlet opening as a knife edge formed part and a transversely movable shear die.
This makes it possible to carry out the cleaning required for cold pressure welding in a surprisingly simple way with that which is also necessary with the high pressure fix the components with one and the same tool. By the use of these shear plates are, so to speak, incidental to the natural completely clean, fresh cut surfaces of the wires for cold pressure welding to disposal.
In contrast to the previously known production of bimetal rivets, this is not necessary the operations of punching or cutting the bimetal slugs, the transport the slug to the mold, the insertion of the slugs - in the correct position - into the Molding tool and the separation of the remaining bimetal waste. The machine Rather, the invention works continuously, largely automatically and extraordinarily quickly using only two wires of different metals as the starting material. The production of bimetal rivets is thus in a hitherto unknown Dimensions cheaper.
Es zeigen die Fig. 1 bis 3 der Zeichnung beispielsweise schematisch und teilweise im Schnitt eine Ausführungsform des Werkzeugteils in der Maschine der Erfindung in drei aufeinanderfolgenden Arbeitsstufen.1 to 3 of the drawing show schematically, for example and partly in section an embodiment of the tool part in the machine of the invention in three successive stages.
The copper wire 2 and the silver wire 3 are, for example, through the slide rails 4, 5 and the molded parts 6, 7 fed through one another until they are pending (Fig. 1). The two molded parts are then moved to the right (Fig. 2). Here, the section located in the mold is uz from the copper wire 2 sheared off, also from the silver wire 3, the section 3a. Now they are moving Slide rails 4; 5 towards each other - towards - (Fg..3), whereby the cut surfaces of the two mutually fitting wire sections 2a, 3ca are greatly enlarged and oln.e external heat supply cold pressure welding.
