Die Gerbholzextrakte, besonders Quebrachoextrakt, sind niemals vollständig, sondern stets nur theilweise in Wasser löslich, denn das in kochendem Wasser aufgelöste Extrakt schlägt sich beim Erkalten des Wassers zum grofsen Theil nieder und bildet eine consistente harzige Ablagerung, die an den Fellen haften bleibt und sie beschmutzt, während der obere Theil der Gerbflüssigkeit seines Gerbstoffgehaltes fast gänzlich beraubt- wird. Zweck der Erfindung ist, diese Uebelstände zu beseitigen, also Gerbholzextrakte, besonders aber Quebrachoextrakte herzustellen, die sich in der industriellen Praxis mit gröfster Leichtigkeit im Wasser auflösen und reiner, klarer und intensiver gefärbt sind als gewöhnliche, nicht nach dem neuen Verfahren behandelte Extrakte. Das Verfahren besteht darin, dafs man beispielsweise gewöhnliches Quebrachoextrakt von 250B. mit 5 pCt. Aceton in einem geschlossenen Kessel einige Stunden einer Temperatur von 100 bis 1500C. aussetzt und dann das Agens nach einer der üblichen Methoden wiedergewinnt. Das so behandelte Extrakt hat sich dem Ausgangsproduct gegenüber chemisch verändert, ist leicht in Wasser löslich, klar, und intensiv gefärbt und bleibt so, trotzdem dafs das Agens daraus wiedergewonnen wird.The purpose of the invention is to eliminate these inconveniences, i.e. to produce tannin extracts, but especially quebracho extracts, which in industrial practice dissolve with the greatest possible ease in water and are purer, clearer and more intensely colored than ordinary extracts not treated according to the new process.
