Process for the pressure drainage of raw peat that has been pretreated with peat dust
It has been found that it represents a greasy, soap-like mass
Raw peat can be dewatered under high pressure by finely chopping the raw peat,
the crushed particles are wrapped in dry peat dust and the thus pretreated
Pressurizes mass in a pressure chamber. Because the dry peat dust
forms a network of capillaries in the mass to be drained, it is possible
to squeeze out the water contained in the raw peat under pressure. Although this process
is in itself simple, but the practical evaluation of this method has considerable
Causes difficulties. Above all, it must be avoided that the with
dry peat dust treated mass before the pressure treatment solidifies because
then the dry peat dust becomes moist and thereby the capillaries for discharge
of the water are destroyed during the pressure treatment. Just move the powdered one
Peat particles against each other would interrupt the capillaries formed in the pressed material
and make pressure drainage difficult. It is then forbidden to keep stocks
the pretreated peat mass in bunkers and containers.
These conditions were met in a known system in which
the pre-shredded and then powdered raw peat for drainage immediately
that formed by rotating press belts, is wedge-shaped towards the exit end
narrowing press chamber is fed to a belt press. With this system, the
Raw peat and the peat dust are continuously withdrawn from storage bunkers and the crushed
and raw peat pretreated with peat dust is fed to the press in a continuous flow
will.
However, this device has the disadvantage that the rotating press belts
the belt press are exposed to ever increasing wear, so that despite
an intended adjustability of the belts the performance of the press after a
Certain operating time decreases considerably and the press belts are frequently renewed
have to.
The invention is based on the consideration that wear of the
Press belts can be avoided if a discontinuous hydraulic
Table press is used for pressure drainage. Here the task occurs, the
continuously accumulating processed raw peat without storage bunkering and without
feed prior squeezing of the discontinuously working table press.
It is known per se, a continuously operating processing plant
to connect with a discontinuously working table press, but with .der
the raw peat is not pretreated with peat dust, but wrapped in filter cloths
and fed to the press by means of trays or trolleys. Provide the hordes or wagons
however, there are intermediate bunkers in which the peat mass wrapped in filter cloths
would solidify if it was treated with peat dust beforehand.
With the method according to the invention, the object set is thereby achieved
solved that raw peat and peat dust in an even layer thickness on one as endless
Conveyor belt trained, displaceable conveyor device is abandoned, wherein
the conveyor belt stops when the conveyor is moved in the direction of the press
and when moved in the opposite direction and the goods from the conveyor belt
on an endless run with the upper run over the counter pressure plate of the press
Sieve belt deposited and intermittently the press with simultaneous removal of the
pressed good is supplied.
According to this process, the continuously processed raw peat
fed to the discontinuously operating press without intermediate bunkering, and in the
In the same process, the pressure-drained raw peat is removed from the table press.
The mix is gently mixed without any significant change in the position of the individual particles
the table press is fed discontinuously, its screen belt during the pressure drainage
immobile on the counter pressure plate .the table press rests.
The method according to the invention is described below with reference to the
Figs. 1 to 3 of the drawing, which represent the individual process operations, are explained.
The system consists of the storage bunker 1 for the raw peat with the discharge scraper conveyor 2 and the shredder 3 for shredding the raw peat, the bunker 4 'for the peat dust with the take-off roller 5 and subsequent slide 6, the intermittently displaceable conveyor device 7 with rack 8 and disengageable pinion 9 for rotating the conveyor belt 7 ', the endless sieve belt 10, the hydraulic press 11 with the hydraulically actuated pressure ram 12 and the perforated counter pressure plate 13, over which a part of the upper run of the sieve belt 10 is guided, and the conveying device 14 for the drained peat. This system works according to the method according to the invention as follows: According to Fig. 1, there are two layers a and b of the crushed raw peat powdered with peat dust on the upper run of the conveyor belt 7 'of the conveyor device 7, while the pressure drainage of a corresponding one in the press 11 Amount of pretreated raw peat going on. According to Fig. 2, the pressure drainage of this amount of raw peat is ended, the pressure ram 12 is raised and the conveying device 7 is moved to the right with the pinion 9 rolling on the rack 8. The speed of rotation of the conveyor belt 7 'is twice as high as the displacement speed of the conveyor device 7. As a result, the two layers d, b are carefully deposited on the sieve belt 10, while a uniformly thick layer of powdered tubular peat is removed from the continuously operating processing devices 3 and 6 is placed on the conveyor belt 7 '. Then the upper run of the sieve belt 10 is moved in the direction of the arrow, whereby, as Fig. 3 shows, the finished peat mass is thrown onto the conveyor 14 and the layers a, b deposited on the sieve belt are brought into the area of the pressure die 12 of the press 11 are. During the pressure dewatering of layers d and b, the conveying device 7 is brought back into the position according to FIG. 1 with the pinion 9 switched off and in the process placed on the previously deposited layer - layer b ' . Then the work cycle begins again. The duration of the pressing process determines the speed of the individual process steps.
