Um bei Parkets den Schall zu dämpfen, sowie die von unten her kommende Feuchtigkeit zu absorbiren, versah man bisher die Blindböden mit einem Belag von Filz oder dergl. und verlegte auf diesen letzteren erst die Parkets. Da diese Filz- und dergl. Decken aber nicht erkennen lassen, wo sich unter dem Blindboden die Balken des Fufsbodens oder der Decke hinziehen, so war es natürlich auch schwer, die Parkettafeln auf letzteren festzunageln und gestaltete sich letzteres so zu einer umständlichen, zeitraubenden und dabei doch unzuverlässigen Arbeit.To dampen the sound of parquet floors and the moisture coming from below to absorb, one provided the blind floors with a covering of felt or like. Filz) verwendet wird, bietet dasselbe viel gröfsere Sicherheit gegen Ansammlung und Bildung von InfectionsstofFen als die Böden mit Filzdeckenunterlage.
