Hydrogen boron and the metal boronates derived therefrom are known and technically selective Substances that can be used in a variety of ways are reducing agents. An interesting as well as technically important one The substance group is the hydrazine class.
The invention relates to a process for the preparation of hydrogen boride compounds of hydrazine and organically substituted hydrazines, which consists in reacting a hydrazine salt or a salt of an organically substituted derivative of hydrazine in a solvent with a boranate. According to the new process, some hitherto unknown compounds of hydrazine or organically substituted hydrazines with the boron hydrogen BH 3 are obtained. Hydrohalides of hydrazine or organically substituted derivatives thereof are preferably reacted with alkali metal or alkaline earth metal boranates, preferably sodium boranate, in solvents such as organic amines or heterocyclic nitrogen bases or ethers, with the metal salt in question consisting of the boronate cation and the Acid residue of the hydrazine salt, and the evolution of hydrogen, a solution of the hydrogen boride-hydrazine compound in question is formed, from which the reaction product can be isolated. In this way, substances are obtained which combine the reducing properties of hydrazines and hydrogen boron and whose basic structure contains large proportions by weight of nitrogen and hydrogen in loosely bound form. Up to now, these substances have only been accessible via diborane and anhydrous, pure hydrazines, which are difficult to handle and only enter technical areas with the new process described.

Die Umsetzung verläuft gemäß der Reaktion:380 g of sodium borate are suspended in a flask equipped with a stirrer, reflux condenser and opening in 3 1 pyridine and carries 520 g of hydrazinium dichloride with constant stirring, the resulting Heat of reaction dissipates by external cooling and the rate of addition is such that an internal temperature from 40 to 45 ° C is not exceeded. After entering, stir until the end of the Hydrogen evolution. It is then filtered and the filtrate is concentrated in vacuo at 30 ° C. to 500 ml. From the The suspension obtained is precipitated with excess benzene, filtered off and washed with benzene and then with ether. The implementation proceeds according to the reaction:
2 [N2H6]Cl2 + 4NaBH4 + C5H5N (BH3 -NH2- NH2 · BH3) · C5H5N + 4 NaCl + 4 H2 2 [N 2 H 6 ] Cl 2 + 4NaBH 4 + C 5 H 5 N (BH 3 -NH 2 - NH 2 • BH 3 ) • C 5 H 5 N + 4 NaCl + 4 H 2
Die Reaktion verläuft gemäß der FormelTo a suspension of 380 g of sodium borohydride in 8 1 of tetrahydrofuran 1.44 kg phenylhydrazine hydrochloride are added with external cooling and with such an addition rate that the temperature did not exceed 40 0 C. increases with stirring. The mixture is stirred until the evolution of hydrogen has ended and then filtered off. Then the mixture is concentrated at 30 0 C in a vacuum, dissolve the Konzentiat in benzene, filtered off with suction on a suction filter, and precipitated from the solution with petroleum ether or benzene. The white product is often reprecipitated or recrystallized from a mixture of benzene and cyclohexane. The reaction proceeds according to the formula
[C6H5 · NH · NH3]Cl + NaBH4 [C 6 H 5 • NH • NH 3 ] Cl + NaBH 4
BH3+ NaCl+ H2 BH 3 + NaCl + H 2
->- C6H5NH-NH2 -> - C 6 H 5 NH-NH 2
The phenylhydrazinoborine is obtained in colorless star-shaped crystals or white flakes or scales with a melting point of 115 ° C. (with decomposition). It is soluble in pyridine, benzene, tetrahydrofuran, glacial acetic acid (without decomposition), toluene; insoluble in petroleum ether, gasoline, cyclohexane. 50 ° / 0 sulfuric acid it decomposes with evolution of hydrogen.
