Natriumbenzoat und Natriumnitrit haben sich als ausgezeichnete Inhibitoren erwiesen, jedoch haben diese Inhibitoren den Nachteil, daß sie die Zerstörung der aus Gummi bestehenden Teile von Wärmeaustauschern beschleunigen; außerdem sind1 sie in Glykolen nicht stabil. Es wurde gefunden, daß durch einen Zusatz von Arylaminen, Ketonaminen oder wasserlöslichen Salzen dieser Amine zu Kühlflüssigkeiten der vorstehend angegebenen Zusammensetzung nicht nur eine Korrosion von Eisen, Stahl, Aluminium, Zinn, Lötmassen, Bronze, Kupfer und aller geschweißter Verbindungen, sondern auch der aus Gummi bestehenden Teile eines Wärmeaustauschers verhütet wird. Die angegebenen Amine bzw. die wasserlöslichen Salze dieser Amine stabilisieren ferner Natriumbenzoat und Natriumnitrit. Sie wirken sich ferner als Oxydantien hinsichtlich der in Kühlflüssigkeiten enthaltenen Glykole aus, indem sie die Bildung von Glykol- und Oxalsäuren verhindern, die ebenfalls als korrodierende Mittel angesprochen werden müssen. Als weiterer Vorteil des erfindungsgemäßen Zusatzes ist hervorzuheben., daß ein Ablösen von alten Korrosionsprodukten in den Wärmeaustauschern und schließlich auch ein. 3-Aminonaphthol, Acetonylamin, p-Aminoacetophenon
und 4-Aminobenzophenon. Als besonders geeignet seien Phenyl-ci- und -/5-naphthylamin hervorgehoben.
Bezüglich der anzuwendenden Mengen der Arylamine, Ketonamine oder der wasserlöslichen
Salze dieser Amine sei bezüglich einer 20%igen wäßrigen Lösung von Glykol angegeben, daß ein
Zusatz von 0,1 Gewichtsprozent Amin für die Zwecke der Erfindung ausreicht. Wenn ein Amin jedoch unverdünntem
Glykol zugesetzt wird, das nachträglich so verdünnt werden soll, daß auf 1 Gewichtsteil
Glykol 4 Gewichtsteile Wasser kommen, dann sind dem Glykol 0,5 Gewichtsprozent Amin zuzusetzen.
Die vorzugsweise anzuwendenden Mengen Amin Mittel zur Korrosionsverhütung
