Description
DEUTSCHESGERMAN
The invention relates to a device for sound recording using a radiation-sensitive Layer on the recording medium, which is used for producing playable by means of the needle-tone process Recording media is used and the layer is exposed by an electron beam.
In sound film technology, it is known per se, optical sound recording on a photographic film by making the photosensitive film layer is exposed by an electron beam. With such devices one can optical soundtracks both Produce in intensity script as well as in zigzag script. Optical sound films have also become known at which the sound track is recorded as oscilloscope writing with the aid of a cathode ray oscilloscope. From publications by Vogt, Engl and Massolle, it is known to produce a record to use a support provided with a photosensitive layer on which a fine point of light, its intensity is changed in the rhythm of the sound vibrations to be recorded, a spiral recording, which roughly corresponds to the Edison script or subscript. In the known arrangement the recording light beam is generated by an intensity-controlled glow lamp. With the help of a well-known photochemical process is then made a relief-like matrix, from which on the usual galvanic Ways records are produced. The same inventor also goes back to the fact that an amplitude-dependent Displacement of a light source of constant intensity generated by a glow lamp is one of the Berlin scripts, in which the glowing light phenomenon can be displaced by a control voltage or page writing corresponding recording can be produced on a photosensitive layer which is used in the manner indicated above for making records. The known procedures have However, it was not introduced in practice because the lighting control devices showed deficiencies and the improved mechanical ones Procedures met the need.
Nähert man die Querschnitte der beiden Saphire aneinander an, so kannThe known records with side writing have the disadvantage that there is no pure horizontal deflection of the Stylus is caused. Rather, there is also a slight vertical deflection of the stylus at the same time. This so-called pinching effect creates distortions. One used for cutting and scanning sapphires of various cross-sections, namely triangular ones for cutting and circular ones for scanning. The triangular cross-section of the cutting sapphire results in a groove width that is dependent on the groove pitch. The circular scanning sapphire will be on the spots smaller groove width, d. H. high incline, raised and thus executes a vertical movement. If you approach the Cross-sections of the two sapphires on each other, so can

Bei Langspielplatten mit Mikrorillen produzierenyou avoid pinching, but the cutting sapphire then no longer cuts sufficiently smoothly, and the scanning sapphire in turn begins to cut. It is therefore a fundamental dilemma of all mechanical processes: The different tasks of the two sapphires require different cross-sections and thus pinching. This effect is particularly disruptive when two sound recordings are combined in a common groove and are to be scanned simultaneously or one after the other. The union of two sound recordings in one tone groove is already known; Elsewhere, various implementation options for combining several sound recordings in one groove, for example for the purpose of stereophonic sound reproduction, have already been proposed.
The invention is based on the object of generating sound writing free of disruptive effects. According to the invention, this is achieved in a device of the type mentioned at the beginning in that the diameter of the electron beam in the recording plane is equal to the width of the sound groove to be generated. The recording can take place here by lateral deflection of an electron beam of constant intensity or by varying the intensity of the electron beam.
An advantage of the invention is the smallness of the wavelength of the recording beam. A point-like image in the sense of geometric optics is only possible for " points" whose diameter is large compared to the wavelength, e.g. B. in the order of ten wavelengths. Produce long-playing records with micro-grooves

Irregularities in the groove of the order of 0.1 μ are already clearly audible noise, so that for the recording wavelength must be less than 0.01 μ. That suggested by Vogt, Engl and Massolle The method is therefore completely useless for long-playing records. Another advantage of the invention over the mentioned method is the possibility of simultaneous Record depth and side writing with one ray.
According to a further development of the invention, the intensity of the electron beam for generating the increases desired sound groove cross-section from the central axis towards the marginal rays. The electron beam can be generated in the device according to the invention as a parallel beam. To disturbing To avoid side effects, the arrangement according to the invention is made such that the tone groove at pure Page font always has the same width. With the invention Facility can, in a manner known per se, page and subscript in a single tone groove combined and recorded simultaneously by a single electron beam. According to further training According to the invention, the control electrode of the electron source is supplied with a compensation voltage which keeps the product of exposure time and mean beam intensity constant and of the relative speed of the bundle of rays and, if necessary, in the case of side writing, depends on the deflection. Through this the changes in the relative speed can be compensated for. According to one embodiment of the invention the electron source is arranged in an evacuated vessel with an exit window for the electrons is provided. It is possible to handle the recording film in the bright or at least in red light, provided that the layer is only sensitized in such a way that its sensitivity is essentially in the short-wave region.
The invention is explained by way of example with the aid of the drawing.
In Fig. 1, the recording device according to the invention is shown schematically. With 1 is an evacuated Denotes vessel that contains a hot cathode 2 or the like as an electron source. To control the intensity of the electron beam 3 is used in the illustrated embodiment of the Wehnelt cylinder 4. It is also an acceleration electrode 6 and an electron-optical system 7 and 7 ″ are provided. The exit of the Electron beam 3 from the evacuated vessel 1 takes place through an aluminum sheet inserted into the vessel wall, a so-called Lenard window 8, which is located just above the recording medium 9. The recording medium 9 is moved accordingly by a Base 10, for example in the case of recording on disks by the turntable, moved. The radiation-sensitive Layer is denoted by 11. The discharge vessel containing the electron source is in In the case of record recording, connected to a conventional groove feed device. With the described However, it is also possible to produce tape-shaped or roller-shaped needle-tone recordings.
In Fig. 2 ist eine mit der erfindungsgemäßen Einrichtung herstellbare Schallrille S dargestellt, die für Seitenschrift an jeder Stelle die gleiche Breite B aufweist.2 shows a sound groove S which can be produced with the device according to the invention and which has the same width B for page writing at every point.
In Fig. 3, a sound groove profile that can be expediently produced with the device according to the invention is shown. The edges of the profile are at right angles to each other. The radius of curvature R at the bottom of the groove is expediently chosen to be less than 10 μ.
The intensity distribution J of the electron beam required for such a recording is shown in FIG. The desired structure can be easily achieved, since, assuming an anode voltage of 10 kV, approximately 4 · 10 6 wavelengths fall in a range of 50 μ. The desired intensity distribution of the electron beam can be brought about by a suitable design of the electron optics.
In Fig. 5 a device according to the invention for recording stereophonic records is shown schematically. In this exemplary embodiment of the invention, two transmission channels are used with the microphones M 1 and M 2 , the voltages of which are amplified in the amplifiers V 1 and V 2 . The radiation-sensitive recording medium is labeled A and is located on a turntable P which is driven by a motor E via a corresponding gear G. The sound recording on the recording medium A is carried out by the device F, which contains the electron beam system described in more detail in connection with FIG. The writing device F is connected to a groove feed device R , which is driven by the motor E via gears X and Y. A supply device T is also provided for generating the required operating voltages for the electron beam system. The output voltage of the amplifier F 1 is fed to the matching amplifier Z 1 , which then supplies the control voltage for controlling the intensity of the electron beam. A compensation voltage, which is dependent on the respective writing speed, is also fed from the circuit part K to the matching amplifier Z 1. The circuit part K is consequently connected on the one hand to the grooved feed gear Y and on the other hand to the matching amplifier Z 2 of the second stereophonic channel written in side letters. The matching amplifier Z 2 outputs its voltage to the deflection system C , which causes a lateral deflection of the electron beam with respect to the recording direction. A grain size of 0.1 μ is recommended for the recording medium, which is to be reduced even further in the event that halation occurs.
