Um diesen Mangel auszugleichen, ist bei dieser bekannten Anordnung eine sehr große Anzahl dicht nebeneinander stehender Kochröhren notwendig. Dadurch aber wird einerseits der Fassungsraum verkleinert, andererseits die Herstellung verteuert. Bei der bekannten Einrichtung sind weiterhin Leitwände vorgesehen, die zwar eine Verbesserung der Wirkung erbringen sollen, tatsächlich aber nur eine wesentliche Verlängerung des Flüssigkeitsweges vom Einlauf zum Auslauf bewirken, wobei die große Anzahl von Kochröhren zu Stauungen führt und in Einlaufnähe einen höheren Flüssigkeitsstand als beim Auslauf zur Folge hat.
