Abstract

Vorgeschlagen wird ein Verfahren zur Verbesserung der Barriereeigenschaften von Kunststoffen, insbesondere von Kunststoffrohren, indem bei der Extrusion von thermoplastischen Kunststoffen Ultraschallenergie im Bereich der Düse der Rohrextrusionsanlage und/oder nach der Düse auf die zunächst noch plastische Schmelze, insbesondere Schmelzeschlauch, aufgebracht wird. Die Ultraschallenergie wird dabei in ihrer Leistung bzw. Amplitude der Ultraschallschwingungen vorzugsweise so bemessen, dass sie in einem Bereich liegt, in welchem sich der Schmelzeschlauch nach dem Austritt aus der Düse zwar abkühlt, jedoch dennoch ein positiver Effekt auf die Barriereeigenschaften des Kunststoffrohres bewirkt wird.
