Abstract

Es wird eine Zündkerze (10) mit einem in einem Gehäuse (22) angeordneten Isolator (21) vorgeschlagen. Der Isolator (21) weist eine Dichtfläche (45) auf, die an einer Dichtfläche (47) des Gehäuses (22) oder an einem zwischen dem Gehäuse (22) und der Dichtfläche (45) des Isolators (21) angeordneten Dichtelement (46) anliegt. Es ist ein Mittel (41a, 41b) vorgesehen, das auf den Isolator (21) eine in Längsrichtung der Zündkerze (10) gerichtete Kraft derart ausübt, dass die Dichtfläche (45) des Isolators (21) auf die Dichtfläche (47) des Gehäuses (22) oder auf das Dichtelement (46) drückt und so der Isolator (21) im Gehäuse (22) gasdicht abgedichtet ist.
