In an advantageous embodiment, the present invention relates to W / O (water-in-oil) emulsions with phytosterols for the treatment of atopic dermatitis, dyskeratosis, scars, senile skin and age spots, pruritus, vitiligo, scleroderma and for tightening connective tissue.
The skin is the largest body (about 1.5 to 2 m 2 ) covering the human body and is used for physical, chemical and immunological protection, heat regulation and for the absorption of sensory stimuli. Among the many functions mentioned above, the barrier function that prevents the skin and thus the entire organism from drying out is probably the most important function. The epidermis is the outermost layer of the skin, probably the most important part of this tissue and consists of a multi-layered horny plate epithelium. The intact horny layer, ie an epidermal barrier, is an essential prerequisite for the protective function of the skin against external influences. By impairing the barrier function, there is a greater effect of external substances on the skin and the loss of endogenous substances, such as water and / or electrolytes from the skin, ie it leads to a transepidermal water loss. The result is a erosion of eczema, which shows as a clinical picture redness, dryness, scaling, tears, itching of the skin, and can go into contact dermatitis in case of lack of skin protection.
In addition, potential allergens can easily penetrate the skin and cause sensitization. The development of allergic contact eczema can be promoted by the erosion of eczema.
Atopic dermatitis is a chronic atopic skin disease characterized by dry skin, itching and eczema. It is characterized by a genetically caused excessive immune reaction. The cause is still largely unknown. It is therefore important to avoid individual triggering factors and consistent skincare to prevent dehydration and itching.
For the above problems, preparations are currently being offered to restore the damaged barrier or to protect the skin from contact with external noxae.
In addition to their barrier effect against external chemical and physical influences, the epidermal lipids also contribute to the cohesion of the horny layer and have an influence on the skin smoothness. The epidermal lipids are distributed over the entire horny layer.
The interaction of the lipids with the other moisture-binding substances in the upper skin layers is therefore very important for the regulation of skin moisture. In addition to the lipid mixtures and water, cosmetics generally also contain water-binding substances.
Medical topical preparations usually contain one or two drugs in effective concentration. Common cosmetic dosage forms are emulsions. This is generally understood to mean heterogeneous systems consisting of two liquids which are immiscible with one another or which are only slightly miscible, which are usually referred to as phases. One is in the form of droplets (disperse or inner phase), while the other liquid forms a continuous (coherent or inner phase).
In cosmetics, in recent years there has been a trend towards natural compounds as a starting material for modern cosmetic formulas. An interesting group of compounds are the phytosterols. They are a series of substances with chemically very similar structural features to cholesterol, but which can only be synthesized by plant organisms. Phytosterols have the same function in plants as cholesterol in humans and animals, namely the formation of cell membranes. Phytosterols thus include plant sterols and stanols and their fatty acid esters.
B. 22/23).Phytosterols are therefore referred to as plant sterols, such as ergosterol, stigmasterol, sitosterol, fucosterol, fungisterol, campesterol, brassicasterol and avennasterol. Sterols are cholesterol-derived steroids, which carry only in the C 3 position a hydroxy group, but otherwise no functional groups, so formally alcohols; hence the term sterols. In addition, the 27-30 C-containing sterols generally have one double bond in the 5/6 position, more rarely also / or in 7/8, 8/9 and other positions (eg 22/23).
Typische Zoosterine sind Cholesterin, Lanosterin, Spongosterin, Stellasterin. Typical zoosterols are cholesterol, lanosterol, spongosterin, stellasterin.
Eine Übersicht gibt die Arbeit von R. Wachter et al. [1].Sterols thus represent complex chemical substances that are biosynthesized in animal and vegetable organisms from squalane, a readily cyclizable hydrocarbon. Phytosterols, ie sterols from vegetable raw material sources, are mainly used in cosmetics because they have a repair effect on damaged or environmentally contaminated skin. An overview gives the work of R. Wachter et al. [1].
Wachter et al., 1994 [1]).So there are significant difficulties in the production and storage of emulsions containing phytosterols on. However, since the effectiveness of the products is directly dependent on the solubility of the phytosterols, so far only products with a maximum content of 1% of phytosterols have been produced (see Wachter et al., 1994 [1]).
This approach can not be taken to solve the problem described above, since another emulsion type must be selected.

It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide cosmetic or dermatological preparations in the form of water-in-oil emulsions having a relatively high phytosterol, which have a high storage stability, for example, when heated to 35 to 40 ° C show no irreversible tendency to segregation and not lose their viscosity. Furthermore, it is an object of the present invention to provide preparations which significantly improve the condition of the skin in atopic dermatitis, dyskeratosis, scars, senile skin and age spots, pruritus, vitiligo, scleroderma, and for tightening connective tissue.
This object is achieved by the cosmetic or dermatological preparations according to claim 1, which have 1 to 5 wt .-% of one or more substances from the group of phytosterols, and wherein the mixture of oil components and phytosterols a clear melting point of between 60 and 70 ° C. having. Optionally, the preparation according to the invention may contain conventional additives approved in cosmetics or dermatology.
Vorteilhafte Ausführungsformen sind in den Unteransprüchen beschrieben.Advantageous embodiments are described in the subclaims.
The preparations according to the invention are present as W / O emulsions and are distinguished by a good skin feel and by a very good skin care performance. The preparations according to the invention preferably have a pH of 5.5 ± 0.5. This pH can be adjusted by means of organic acids such as lactic acid, malic acid or citric acid. Surprisingly, and was not foreseeable by the skilled person that the preparations of the invention better than moisturizing preparations, better promote skin smoothing, are characterized by better care effect than prior art products and have a higher stability to the crystallization of the fatty acids used and a wider distinguish cosmetic variability and formulate it over broader consistency and viscosity ranges.
The invention therefore relates to cosmetic or dermatological preparations with phytosterols in the form of W / O emulsions. These preparations are particularly suitable for the treatment of atopic dermatitis, dyskeratosis, scars, aging skin and age spots, pruritus, vitiligo, scleroderma and for tightening connective tissue.
In a preferred embodiment, the preparation according to the invention may further comprise one or more substances selected from the group of zoosterols. Cholesterol and / or lanosterol are preferred here.
The phytosterols and optionally the zoosterols are incorporated in an oil component or an oil body containing a mixture selected from at least one vegetable oil and / or vegetable fat, at least one fatty alcohol selected from the group of branched and unbranched, saturated and unsaturated alkyl alcohols 12 to 40 carbon atoms, and at least one fatty acid ester, in particular C 10 to C 12 fatty acid monoesters with linear C 4 to C 8 alcohols and C 6 to C 12 fatty alcohols and at least mineral acids.
The oil body is contained in the preparation in a concentration of 1 to 20 wt .-%, based on the total weight of the formulation.
By including the phytosterols and optionally the zoosterols in the previously defined oil body was surprisingly found that the melting point of about 140 ° C could be reduced to between 60 to 70 ° C, whereby the production capability is ensured at 75 to 85 ° C is. Thus, homogeneous, storage-stable, clear-melting mixtures can be obtained for the first time. At the same time, the performance properties of the sterols are not adversely affected by the addition of the components of the oil body.
The pH is adjusted by means of organic acids, such as. As lactic acid, malic acid, citric acid or mixtures thereof.
As a bodying agent, the preparation of the invention may contain substances selected from the group consisting of Cera alba, Citrus aurantium dulcis, stearyl beeswax, behenyl beeswax, xanthan gum.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the phytosterols or optionally also the zoosterols are taken up in an oil body and in a mixing ratio of 30 (phytosterols and optionally zoosterols): 70 (oil component). As the oil component such substances selected from the group of vegetable oil and / or vegetable fat, obtained from almonds, thistles, soybeans, shea butter, wheat germ, olives, peanuts, oilseed rape, jojoba, Persea gratissima, Zea Mays, Oryza sativa, Arachis hypogaea, Prunis dulcis, Triticum vulgare, Simmondsia chinensis, Brassica campestris, Helianthus annuus, substances selected from the group consisting of dicaprylyl ether, hexyldecanol and / or hexyldeyl laurate, octyldodecanol, hexyldecanol, PPG-2 myristyl ether propionate, hydrogenated castor oil mixed with diethylhexylcyclohexanes, dicaprylyl carbonates , Orbignya oleifera, cetearyl isononanoate, cetearyl ethylhexanoate, stearic acid, hexyl laurate, glyceryl stearate SE, squalane and / or fatty acid esters, preferably isopropyl myristate; C 12 to C 15 alkyl benzoates, coco-caprylates / caprate, Butyrospermum parkii used.

The invention will now be further described by way of example, without the invention being limited thereto.
Particularly advantageous proved in the experiments according to the invention, a mixing ratio of 30 (phytosterol): 70 (oil body), the oil body, consisting of the components dicaprylyl carbonates, octyldodecanol, hexyl laurate and jojoba oil (Simmondsia chinensis). The oil body contains 45 parts of dicaprylyl carbonate, 20 parts of octyldodecanol, 17.5 parts of hexyl laurate and 17.5 parts of jojoba oil. As a result, the melting point of Generol ® R is reduced from approx. 140 ° C to 60 to 70 ° C, which ensures the production capability, which is preferably 75 to 85 ° C.
A mixture of 1: 1 polyglyceryl-2 dipolyhydroxystearates and polyglyceryl-3 diisostearates has proven to be particularly advantageous as a W / O emulsifier. Both emulsifiers were preferably used with 2 wt .-%, based on the total formulation.
The W / O emulsion thus obtained is stable in a temperature range between -5 ° C to + 40 ° C for 4 months, d. H. there are no separations.
The W / O emulsions according to the invention were distinguished by a good skin feel and by a very good skin care performance.
It was surprising and unforeseeable for the skilled worker that the preparations according to the invention better promoted skin smoothing, were distinguished by a better care effect than the prior art products and had a higher stability with respect to the crystallization of the fatty acids used.
Tabelle 1
