Der Maisflaum ist in einem viskosen Bindemittel, nämlich Kleister enthalten. Dies läßt sich technisch sehr einfach durch Einrühren des Maisflaums in den Kleister erreichen. Dieses Viskosegemisch kann dann auf die Wand und/oder auf die Decke aufgetragen werden. Nach dem Auftrag erfolgt dann der Trockenvorgang. Der Kleister geht dabei eine Verbindung mit dem Grundputz ein, so daß der Überzugputz fest auf dem Untergrund gehalten ist. Durch den Maisflaum besitzt dieser Wand- und/oder Deckenputz eine Oberflächenstruktur, welche der einer Rauhfasertapete sehr ähnlich ist. Durch die Wahl von Kleister als Bindemittel besitzt dieser Wand- und/oder Deckenputz auch die notwendige Abriebfestigkeit. Zu Dekorationszwecken kann dann noch ein Farbauftrag vorgesehen sein.
