Description

Electromagnetic rail brake Addendum to patent 1000 850 The invention relates to an electromagnetic rail demise, whose inherently rigid magnet yoke, consisting of core, cheeks and rail shoes, is divided into several individual blocks. In order to avoid tilting of the individual blocks and thus uneven wear of the rail shoes, according to the main patent 1000 850, the individual blocks are connected by bridges as close as possible to the running rail to form a flexible whole in such a way that the blocks by a small amount incline each other and around their longitudinal axis! can twist. According to the main patent, there are bridges between the cheeks that serve as bridges: or tabs connecting the cheeks or vulcanized rubber.

The invention, which relates to a further embodiment of the subject matter of the main patent, is characterized in that the bridges are arranged on the rail shoes in a manner known per se. More details. are described on the basis of the drawing. Fig. 1, 3 and 4 show partial side views of a rail brake with different designs of the bridges, Fig. 2 shows a section in the plane GG of Fig. 1. The encapsulated excitation coil 1 surrounds the core 2. The individual cheek parts 3, 3 ' are separated from one another by column 4. In the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 1, the bridges are formed by the remaining webs 5, which are obtained in a known manner by slitting the rail shoes 7 into one another. In the embodiment according to FIG. 3, individual rail shoe parts 7, 7 'are used. These are elastically connected to one another by the tabs 10. In the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 4, the individual rail shoe parts 7, 7 'are vulcanized with the rubber intermediate layers 11 and are thus elastically connected to one another. In all the exemplary embodiments, the subdivided cheeks 3, 3 'and the subdivided core 2 of the magnet yoke are firmly connected to one another by screw bolts 6, 6' and the rail shoe parts 7, 7 'are screwed to the cheek parts 3, 3' by screws 8. The end links of the subdivided magnetic yoke are rigidly connected to one another in a known manner by the lateral n bridges 9.
