Abstract
Gegenstand der Erfindung ist ein Verfahren zum Verbinden von Formteilen mit wärmehärtbaren Klebstoffen durch Einstrahlung von elektromagnetischer Strahlung in die Klebefuge. Die Klebefuge ist dabei so gestaltet, daß das Substrat mindestens eines zu fügenden Formteils im Bereich der Klebefuge transparent für elektromagnetische Strahlung ist. Dieses Klebeverfahren eignet sich insbesondere zum Herstellen von Fahrzeugleuchten oder Fahrzeugscheinwerfern, bei denen die Abdeckscheibe, Lichtscheibe oder Streuscheibe aus Glas oder einem transparenten Kunststoff so im Bereich der Fügestelle ausgebildet ist, daß in das Klebstoffvolumen der Klebefuge mit energiereicher Infrarotstrahlung eingestrahlt werden kann. Als Klebstoff eignet sich insbesondere ein wärmehärtender Klebstoff auf der Basis einer nichtwäßrigen Dispersion, die mindestens ein nur an der Oberfläche desaktiviertes Polyisocyanat und wenigstens ein mit Isocyanat reaktives Polymer enthält.
Description
- Gegenstand der Erfindung ist ein Verfahren zum Verbinden von transparenten Kunststoffsubstraten mit thermoplastischen oder duroplastischen Kunststoffsubstraten so wie dessen Anwendung zur Herstellung von Lampengehäusen von Fahrzeugleuchten oder Fahrzeugscheinwerfern.
- Bei den Lampengehäusen von Fahrzeugleuchten oder Fahrzeugscheinwerfern sind zu deren Herstellung Fügeverfahren bekannt, bei denen ein erstes Bauteil, beispielsweise ein Schweinwerfergehäuse, ein U-förmiges Dichtungsbett an einer ersten Seitenwand aufweist, in das ein zweites Bauteil, beispielsweise eine Abschluß- bzw. Abdeckscheibe aus Glas, mit einer zweiten Seitenwand einfügbar ist, so daß beide Bauteile miteinander abdichtend verbunden sind. An die Stelle der Abschluß- bzw. Abdeckscheiben oder auch Streuscheiben aus Glas treten heute vielfach auch solche Scheiben aus transparenten Kunststoffsubstraten, vorzugsweise aus Polymethylmethacrylat (PMMA) oder Polycarbonat (PC).
- Aus der DE 16 04 736 A ist ein Verfahren zum Verbinden von Teilen aus Kunststoff bekannt, bei dem die Seitenwand eines ersten Bauteiles ein U-förmiges Dichtungsbett aufweist, in das die Seitenwandung eines zweiten Bauteiles eingefügt ist, wobei eine flüssige Kleb-/Dichtmasse nach dem Zusammenfügen über seitliche Öffnungen in das Dichtungsbett eingebracht wird. Für die Herstellung nicht lösbarer Verbindungen werden aushärtbare unelastische Werkstoffe wie z. B. heiß- oder kalthärtende Polyestermischungen, Epoxidharzkombinationen oder Thermoplaste vorgeschlagen. Für die Herstellung lösbarer Verbindungen werden Kautschukmischungen z. B. Silikonkautschuk vorgeschlagen. Derartige Fertigungsverfahren sind zeitaufwendig und erfordern viel Handarbeit.
- Die WO 96/24643 schlägt Schmelzklebstoffe zum Verbinden von glasartigen Kunststoffmaterialien mit thermoplastischen oder duroplastischen Kunststoffmaterialien vor. Insbesondere sollen diese zum Verbinden von Lichtscheiben mit Lampengehäusen von Fahrzeugleuchten oder Fahrzeugscheinwerfern verwendet werden. Konkret vorgeschlagen werden Schmelzklebstoffe die gepfropfte thermoplastische Elastomere enthalten, ggf. gepfropfte Poly-α-olefine, Klebeharze sowie Polyisobutylene. Insbesondere werden reaktive Schmelzklebstoffe vorgeschlagen, die Ihre Endfestigkeit durch eine nachgelagerte Vernetzungsreaktion erhalten.
- In der EP 1108771 A2 wird ein Verfahren zur Herstellung einer Fügeverbindung zwischen einem ersten Bauteil und einem zweiten Bauteil beschrieben, bei dem auf einem Dichtungsbettbereich des ersten Bauteils eine entfernbare Kleb-Dichtmasse im festen Zustand aufgetragen wird und die beiden Bauteile zusammengefügt werden. Zum Entfernen der Kleb-Dichtmasse wird diese an einem freien Ende erfasst und in der Verlängerung einer ebenen von den beiden Bauteilen weggerichteten Verlaufrichtung des Dichtungsbettes aus diesem nahezu rückstandsfrei herausgezogen.
- Angesichts dieses Standes der Technik haben sich die Erfinder die Aufgabe gestellt, ein Verfahren zum Verbinden von Formteilen, insbesondere Lampengehäusen, bereitzustellen, das ein rasches Fügungs- und Fertigungsverfahren erlaubt und zu dauerhaften Verklebungen der Bauteile führt.
- Die erfindungsgemäße Lösung der Aufgabe ist den Patentansprüchen zu entnehmen, sie besteht im wesentlichen darin, daß mindestens ein Bauteil im Bereich der Klebefuge transparent für die elektromagnetische Strahlung ist. Vorzugsweise besteht dieses Bauteil aus Glas oder einem transparenten Kunststoff. Beispiele für transparente Kunststoffmaterialien sind insbesondere Plexiglas (Polymethylmethacrylat, PMMA), Polycarbonat (PC) oder Polystyrol sowie Styrolcopolymere. In einer bevorzugten Ausführungsform liegen zumindest wesentliche Teile der die Erwärmung des Klebstoffes bewirkenden Strahlung im Wellenlängenbereich des nahen Infrarot.
- Unter "naher Infrarotstrahlung" (Naher IR-Strahlung) im Sinne dieser Erfindung soll dabei eine elektromagnetische Strahlung verstanden sein, die sich unmittelbar an das sichtbare Licht auf der langwelligen Seite anschließt, vorzugsweise handelt es sich hierbei um einen Wellenlängenbereich zwischen 0,7 µm und 1,5 µm. "Nahes IR" wird im wissenschaftlichen Schrifttum auch als "Near-Infra-Red" bezeichnet. Es ist bekannt daß in diesem Wellenlängenbereich Infrarot-Strahlung die höchste Energiedichte und sehr vorteilhafte Wirkungseigenschaften aufweist. Insbesondere hat sich gezeigt, daß im Gegensatz zur längerwelligen IR-Strahlung die Nahe IR-Strahlung tiefer in das zu erwärmende Klebstoffvolumen eindringen kann und nicht nur die Oberfläche der Klebstoffschicht erwärmt. Außerdem lässt sich die Nahe IR-Strahlung mit geeigneten Vorrichtungen mit geringem Aufwand sehr gut fokussieren, so daß eine gerichtete Nahe IR-Strahlung mit hohem Energieinhalt zur Verfügung steht, die sehr kurze Aufheizzeiten der zu aktivierenden Klebstoffschicht im Bereich von wenigen Sekunden ermöglicht, ohne dabei ein thermisch empfindliches Substrat zu hoch zu erhitzen. Vorzugsweise weist die Nahe IR-Strahlungsquelle einen Temperaturstrahler auf, der bei Emissionstemperaturen von 2500 K oder höher, vorzugsweise bei 2900 K oder höher zu betreiben ist. Solche Strahlungsquellen sind vorzugsweise Halogenlampen. Typischerweise ist die Nahe IR- Strahlenquellen-Einheit so ausgebildet, daß sie bei der Aushärtung entweder die gesamte Klebefuge auf einmal überstreicht oder diese auf einer vorgegebenen Bahn "abfährt". In beiden Fällen regelt eine Steuereinheit über Sensoren den Energieeintrag und somit die Temperatur der aufzuheizenden Klebstoffschicht.
- Der mit naher IR-Strahlung aushärtbare wärmehärtbare Klebstoff ist dabei auf der Basis einer nichtwässrigen Dispersion aufgebaut, die mindestens ein nur an der Oberfläche desaktiviertes, bei Raumtemperatur festes Polyisocyanat und wenigstens ein mit Isocyanat reaktives Polymer enthält. Bei dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren erfüllt der wärmehärtbare Klebstoff neben seiner fügenden, d. h. strukturelle Festigkeit der Verklebung bewirkenden Funktion, eine abdichtende Funktion der Bauteile.
- Das Bindemittel der wärmehärtbaren Kleb-/Dichtstoffe enthält dabei Polyole wie z. B. Polyetherpolyole, Polyesterpolyole, Polyacrylatpolyole, Polyolefinpolyole und/oder Polyetheresterpolyole, Polyetheramine und ein feinteiliges, festes Di- oder Polyisocyanat, das während der Dispergierung im Polyol-/Polyamin-Gemisch an seiner Oberfläche desaktiviert wird.
- Zusätzlich zu den vorgenannten Bestandteilen enthält der Kleb-/Dichtstoff in aller Regel Füllstoffe, ggf. pulverförmiges Molekularsieb oder andere wasserbindende Bestandteile, sowie Katalysatoren.
- Als Polyole können dabei eine Vielzahl von höhermolekularen Polyhydroxyverbindungen verwendet werden. Als Polyole eignen sich vorzugsweise die bei Raumtemperatur flüssigen Polyether mit zwei bzw. drei Hydroxylgruppen pro Molekül im Molekulargewichts-Bereich von 400 bis 30 000, vorzugsweise im Bereich von 1000 bis 15 000. Beispiele sind di- und/oder trifunktionelle Polypropylenglycole, es können auch statistische und/oder Blockcopolymere des Ethylenoxids und Propylenoxids eingesetzt werden. Eine weitere Gruppe von vorzugsweise einzusetzenden Polyethern sind die Polytetramethylenglycole (Poly(oxytetramethylen)glycol, Poly-THF), die z. B. durch die saure Polymerisation von Tetrahydrofuran hergestellt werden. Dabei liegt der Molekulargewichts-Bereich der Polytetramethylenglycole zwischen 200 und 6000, vorzugsweise im Bereich von 800 bis 5000.
- Weiterhin sind als Polyole die flüssigen, glasartig amorphen oder kristallinen Polyester geeignet, die durch Kondensation von Di- bzw. Tricarbonsäuren, wie z. B. Adipinsäure, Sebacinsäure, Glutarsäure, Azelainsäure Korksäure, Undecandisäure, Dodecandisäure, 3,3-Dimethylglutarsäure, Terephthalsäure, Isophthalsäure, Hexahydrophthalsäure, Dimerfettsäure oder deren Mischungen mit niedermolekularen Diolen bzw. Triolen wie z. B. Ethylenglycol, Propylenglycol, Diethylenglycol, Triethylenglycol, Dipropylenglycol, 1,4- Butandiol, 1,6-Hexandiol, 1,8-Octandiol, 1,10-Decandiol, 1,12-Dodecandiol, Dimerfettalkohol, Glycerin, Trimethylolpropan oder deren Mischungen hergestellt werden können. Eine weitere Gruppe der erfindungsgemäß einzusetzenden Polyole sind die Polyester auf der Basis von ε-Caprolacton, auch "Polycaprolactone" genannt.
- Es können aber auch Polyesterpolyole oleochemischer Herkunft verwendet werden. Derartige Polyesterpolyole können beispielsweise durch vollständige Ringöffnung von epoxidierten Triglyceriden eines wenigstens teilweise olefinisch ungesättigten Fettsäureenthaltenden Fettgemisches mit einem oder mehreren Alkoholen mit 1 bis 12 C-Atomen und anschließender partieller Umesterung der Triglycerid-Derivate zu Alkylesterpolyolen mit 1 bis 12 C-Atomen im Alkylrest hergestellt werden. Weitere geeignete Polyole sind Polycarbonat-Polyole und Dimerdiole (Fa. Henkel) sowie vorzugsweise Rizinusöl und dessen Derivate und/oder Hydroxy-funktionelle Polybutadiene, wie sie z. B. unter dem Handelsnamen "Poly-bd" erhältlich sind, können für die erfindungsgemäßen Zusammensetzungen als Polyole eingesetzt werden.
- Weiterhin eignen sich als Polyole lineare und/oder schwach verzweigte Acrylester- Copolymer-Polyole, die beispielsweise durch die radikalische Copolymerisation von Acrylsäureestern, bzw. Methacrylsäureestern mit Hydroxy-funktionellen Acrylsäure- und/oder Methacrylsäure-Verbindungen wie Hydroxyethyl(meth)acrylat oder Hydroxypropyl- (meth)acrylat hergestellt werden können. Wegen dieser Herstellungsweise sind die Hydroxylgruppen bei diesen Polyolen in der Regel statistisch verteilt, so daß es sich hierbei entweder um lineare oder schwach verzweigte Polyole mit einer durchschnittlichen OH-Funktionalität handelt.
- Als di- oder trifunktionelle aminoterminierte Polymere können bevorzugt aminoterminierte Polyalkylenglycole, insbesondere die difunktionellen aminoterminierten Polypropylenglycole, Polyethylenglycole oder Copolymere von Propylenglycol und Ethylenglycol sein. Diese sind auch unter dem Namen "Jeffamine" (Handelsname der Firma Huntsman) bekannt. Weiterhin sind geeignet die difunktionellen aminoterminierten Polyoxytetramethylenglycole, auch Poly-THF genannt. Außerdem sind difunktionelle aminoterminierte Polybutadienverbindungen als Aufbaukomponenten geeignet sowie Aminobenzoesäureester von Polypropylenglycolen, Polyethylenglycolen oder Poly-THF (bekannt unter dem Handelsnamen "Versalink oligomeric Diamines" der Firma Air Products). Die aminoterminierten Polyalkylenglycole oder Polybutadiene haben Molekulargewichte zwischen 400 und 6000.
- Als feste oberflächendesaktivierbare Polyisocyanate sind alle festen Di- oder Polyisocyanate oder deren Gemische geeignet, sofern sie einen Schmelzpunkt oberhalb +40°C aufweisen. Es können aliphatische, cycloaliphatische, heterocyclische oder aromatische Polyisocyanate sein. Als Beispiele seien genannt: Diphenylmethan-4,4'- diisocyanat (4,4'-MDI), dimeres 4,4'-MDI, Naphthalin-1,5-diisocyanat (NDI), 3,3'-Dimethylbiphenyl-4,4'-diisocyanat (TODI), dimeres 1-Methyl-2,4-phenylen-diisocyanat (TDI-U), 3,3'-Diisocyanato-4,4'-dimethyl-N,N'-diphenylharnstoff (TDIH), Additionsprodukt von 2 Mol 4,4'-MDI mit 1 Mol Diethylenglycol, Additionsprodukte von 2 Mol 1-Methyl-2,4- phenylen-diisocyanat mit 1 Mol 1,2-Ethandiol oder 1,4-Butandiol, das Isocyanurat des IPDI (IPDI-T).
- Die festen Polyisocyanate sollten bevorzugt pulverförmig mit einem mittleren Teilchengrössendurchmesser von kleiner oder gleich 10 µm vorliegen (Gewichtsmittel). Sie fallen im Regelfall bei der Synthese als Pulver mit der geforderten Teilchengrössen von 10 µm oder weniger an, andernfalls müssen die festen Polyisocyanate (vor der Desaktivierungsreaktion) durch Mahlprozesse und/oder Siebprozesse in den erfindungsgemäßen Teilchenbereich gebracht werden. Die Verfahren sind Stand der Technik.
- Alternativ können die pulverförmigen Polyisocyanate durch eine der Oberflächendesaktivierung nachgeschaltete Nassmahlung und Feindispergierung auf eine mittlere Teilchengröße von gleich oder weniger als 10 µm gebracht werden. Hierfür eignen sich Dispergiergeräte von Rotor-Stator Typ, Rührwerkskugelmühlen, Perl- und Sandmühlen, Kugelmühlen und Reibspaltmühlen. Je nach Polyisocyanat und Verwendung erfolgt die Vermahlung des desaktivierten Polyisocyanats in Gegenwart des Desaktivierungsmittels oder im nichtreaktiven Dispergiermittel mit nachfolgender Desaktivierung. Das gemahlene und oberflächenstabilisierte Polyisocyanat lässt sich auch aus den Mahl-Dispersionen abtrennen und ggf. trocknen. Das Verfahren ist in EP 204 970 beschrieben.
- Die Oberflächenstabilisierungsreaktion kann auf verschiedenen Wegen durchgeführt werden:
- - Durch Dispersion des pulverförmigen Isocyanats in einer Lösung des Desaktivierungsmittels.
- - Durch Eintragen einer Schmelze eines niederschmelzenden Polyisocyanats in eine Lösung des Desaktivierungsmittels in einem nichtlösenden flüssigen Dispersionsmittel.
- - Durch Zugabe des Desaktivierungsmittels oder einer Lösung desselben, zur Dispersion der festen feinteiligen Isocyanate.
- Die festen Polyisocyanate werden vorzugsweise durch Einwirkung von primären und sekundären aliphatischen Mono-, Di- oder Polyaminen, Hydrazinderivaten, Amidinen, Guanidinen, desaktiviert. Bewährt haben sich Ethylendiamin, 1,3-Propylendiamin, Diethylentriamin, Triethylentetramin, 2,5-Dimethylpiperazin, 3,3'-Dimethyl-4,4'-diaminodicyclohexylmethan, Methylnonan-diamin, Isophorondiamin, 4,4'-Diaminodicyclohexylmethan, Diamino- und Triamino-polypropylenether, Polyamidoamine, und Gemische von Mono-, Di- und Polyaminen. Ganz besonders bevorzugt sind die vorgenannten aminoterminierten Polypropylenglycole, Polyethylenglycole oder Copolymere von Propylenglycol und Ethylenglycol
- Die Konzentration des Desaktivierungsmittels soll 0,1 bis 20, bevorzugt 0,5 bis 8 Equivalentprozent betragen, bezogen auf die total vorhandenen Isocyanatgruppen.
- Als Füllstoffe werden vorzugsweise Kreiden, natürliche gemahlene oder gefällte Calciumcarbonate, Calciummagnesiumcarbonate (Dolomit), Silicate wie z. B. Aluminiumsilicate, Schwerspat oder Magnesiumaluminiumslicate oder auch Talkum eingesetzt. Weiterhin können ggf. andere Füllstoffe, insbesondere verstärkende Füllstoffe wie Ruße, ausgewählt aus der Gruppe der Flammruße, Channelruße, Gasruße oder Furnaceruße oder deren Mischungen mit verwendet werden. Zusätzlich können die Kleb- /Dichstoffe gemäß vorliegender Erfindung Weichmacher bzw. Weichmachermischungen sowie Katalysatoren, Stabilisatoren und weitere Hilfs- und Zusatzstoffe enthalten.
- Als Katalysatoren geeignet sind tertiäre Amine, insbesondere aliphatische Amine cyclischer Struktur. Unter den tertiären Aminen sind auch solche geeignet, die zusätzlich noch gegenüber den Isocyanaten reaktive Gruppen tragen, insbesondere Hydroxyl- und/oder Aminogruppen. Konkret genannt seien: Dimethylmonoethanolamin, Diethylmonoethanolamin, Methylethylmonoethanolamin, Triethanolamin, Trimethanolamin, Tripropanolamin, Tributanolamin, Trihexanolamin, Tripentanolamin, Tricyclohexanolamin, Diethanolmethylamin, Diethanolethylamin, Diethanolpropylamin, Diethanolbutylamin, Diethanolpentylamin, Diethanolhexylamin, Diethanolcyclohexylamin, Diethanolphenylamin sowie deren Ethoxylierungs- und Propoxylierungs-Produkte, Diazabicyclo-octan (DABCO), Triethylamin, Dimethylbenzylamin (Desmorapid DB, BAYER), Bis-dimethylaminoethylether (Calalyst A1, UCC), Tetramethylguanidin, Bisdimethylaminomethyl-phenol, 2-(2-Dimethylaminoethoxy)ethanol, 2-Dimethylaminoethyl- 3-dimethylaminopropylether, Bis(2-dimethylaminoethyl)ether, N,N-Dimethylpiperazin, N- (2-hydroxyethoxyethyl)-2-azanorbornane, oder auch ungesättigte bicyclische Amine, z. B. Diazabicycloundecen (DBU) sowie Texacat DP-914 (Texaco Chemical), N,N,N,N- Tetramethylbutan-1,3-diamin, N,N,N,N-Tetramethylpropan-1,3-diamin und N,N,N,N-Tetramethylhexan-1,6-diamin.
- Zur Herstellung von spezifisch leichten Kleb-/Dichtstoffen können auch Leichtfüllstoffe anteilig mitverwendet werden, beispielhaft genannt seien Kunststoffmikrohohlkugeln ("Microspheres"), vorzugsweise in vorexpandierter Form. Derartige Mikrohohlkugeln können entweder in der vorgeschäumten Form als Mikrohohlkugeln direkt dem Kleb-/Dichtstoff zugesetzt werden oder die "Mikrohohlkugeln" werden als feinteiliges Pulver in der ungeschäumten Form dem Kleb-/Dichtstoff zugesetzt. Diese ungeschäumten "Mikrohohlkugeln" expandieren erst bei der Erwärmung des Kleb-/Dichtstoffs und ergeben so eine sehr gleichmäßige und feinporige Schäumung. Die Mikrohohlkugeln enthalten ein flüssiges Treibmittel auf der Basis von aliphatischen Kohlenwasserstoffen oder Fluorkohlenwasserstoffen als Kern und eine Schale aus einem Copolymer aus Acrylnitril mit Vinylidenchlorid und/oder Methylmethacrylat und/oder Methacrylnitril. Beim Einsatz derartiger Microspheres erfolgt die Expansion der Microspheres und damit das Schäumen erst während des Aushärteprozesses des Kleb-Dichtstoffs. Die Verwendung derartiger Microspheres ist beispielsweise in der EP-A-559254 beschrieben. Derartige "Mikrohohlkugeln" sind z. B. unter dem Handelsnamen "Expancel" der Fa. Nobel Industries oder als "Dualite" von der Firma Pierce & Stevens im Handel erhältlich.
- Zusätzlich können noch Zusätze zur Regelung des Fließverhaltens zugesetzt werden, beispielhaft erwähnt seinen Harnstoffderivate, fibrillierte oder Pulpkurzfasern, pyrogene Kieselsäuren und dergleichen.
- Obwohl die erfindungsgemäß zu verwendenden Kleb-/Dichtstoffe vorzugsweise keine Weichmacher enthalten, kann es gelegentlich notwendig sein, an sich bekannte Weichmacher mit zu verwenden. Hierzu können Dialkylphthalate, Dialkyladipate, Dialkylsebacate, Alkylarylphthalate, Alkylbenzoate, Dibenzoate von Polyolen, wie Ethylenglycol, Propylenglycol oder den niederen Polyoxypropylen- oder Polyoxyethylenverbindungen, Anwendung finden. Weitere geeignete Weichmacher können Alkylphosphate, Arylphosphate oder Alkylarylphosphate sowie Alkysulfonsäureester des Phenols oder auch paraffinfische oder naphthenische Öle oder entaromatisierte Kohlenwasserstoffe als Verdünner sein. Wichtig ist bei der Mitverwendung von Weichmachern, daß diese so ausgewählt werden, daß sie die Oberflächendesaktivierungsschicht der desaktivierten feinteiligen Polyisocyanate während der Lagerung des Kleb-/Dichtstoffes nicht angreifen weil sie dadurch eine vorzeitige Aushärtung des Kleb-/Dichtstoffstranges hervorrufen würden.
- Zur Durchführung des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens ist es notwendig, daß die Klebefuge der zu verbindenden Bauteile so aus gestaltet ist, daß zumindest ein Teilbereich transparent für die elektromagnetische Strahlung ist. Vorzugsweise ist also der Fügebereich so ausgestaltet, daß durch das Glasteil bzw. transparente Kunststoffteil der Baukörperkombination die elektromagnetische Strahlung auf die Klebefuge gelangen kann. Eine erfindungsgemäße Ausführungsform soll anhand der Zeichnungen näher erläutert werden. Dabei stellen
- Fig. 1 einen Teilbereich eines Lampengehäuses
- Fig. 2 den nutförmigen Teil des Fügebereiches und
- Fig. 3 den federförmigen Teil des Fügebereiches dar.
- Die Fig. 1 stellt Teile eines Lampengehäuses dar, wobei Teil (1) einen Teilbereich einer Abdeckscheibe oder Lichtscheibe, oder Streuscheibe des Lampengehäuses aus Glas oder transparentem Kunststoff darstellt, die in ihrem Randbereich einen U-förmigen Nutbereich (3) besitzt. Der untere Teil des Lampengehäuses (2) weist dabei einen Federartigen Vorsprung (5) auf, der nach dem Fügen in den U-förmigen Teil des Nut-Bereiches eingreift. Das gesamte, durch Nut und Feder umschlossene Volumen wird dabei durch den wärmehärtbaren Klebstoff (6) ausgefüllt.
- In der Fig. 2 ist eine Detailansicht des Nutbereichtes (3) dargestellt, wichtig ist in diesem Zusammenhang, daß der waagerechte Schenkel (4) des Nutbereiches aus dem Glas oder transparenten Kunststoff des Lampengehäuseteils (1) besteht, und für die elektromagnetische Strahlung des nahen IR durchlässig ist, sodaß die nahe IR-Strahlung tief in das Klebstoffvolumen eindringen und damit sehr rasche Aushärtzeiten ermöglichen kann.
- Die Fig. 3 stellt eine Detailansicht des Federbereiches 5 dar, vorzugsweise hat dieser Federbereich senkrecht zur Feder (5) angeordnete Vorsprünge (7) die den unteren Abschluß des Klebefugenbereiches bilden.
- Zur näheren Erläuterung der Erfindung sollen die nachfolgenden Ausführungsbeispiele dienen, sie haben nur exemplarischen Charakter und decken nicht die gesamte Breite des erfindungsgemäßen Klebeverfahrens ab. Aus den oben gemachten Angaben kann der Fachmann jedoch die gesamte Anwendungsbreite des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens leicht herleiten.
- 22 g eines gemischten Polyäther-/Polyesterpolyols (OH-Zahl = 160), 200 g eines OH- terminierten Polybutadiens, 190 g Phthalatweichmacher und 50 g hochsiedendender Kohlenwasserstoff wurden in einem Planetenmischer unter Vakuum mit 430 g gefällter Kreide, 15 g Kieselsäure und 47 g Calciumoxid homogen vermischt. Hinzu wurden 2 g eines handelsüblichen Zinnkatalysators (DBTL) und 4 g eines trifunktionellen Polyätheramins (Molekulargewicht = 440) gemischt. Zuletzt wurden 40 g eines feinteiligen dimerisierten Toluylendiisocyanats unter Vakuum eingerührt. Man erhielt einen pastösen Klebstoff, der eine Aushärtungstemperatur von ca. 80°C aufwies.
- In die nutförmige Fuge der Scheinwerfer-Scheiben aus Glas oder Kunststoff wurde der Klebstoff aus Beispiel 1 so wie in Zeichnung 1 dargestellt, eingefüllt. Danach wurde das Gehäuse, ggf. mit einer geeigneten Methode wie z. B. Plasma, Primer oder Beflammen vorbehandelt, mit der Feder entsprechend der geometrischen Vorgabe eingefügt. Dieser Verbund wurde einer NIR®-Strahlung mit einem handelsüblichen Emitter der Leistungsklassen "Low Burn" oder "Normal Burn" (Fa. Adphos) bestrahlt. Dabei war es erfindungsgemäß wichtig, daß die Nahe IR-Strahlung von der transparenten Seite aus eingebracht wurde, da nur so Überhitzungen des nicht transparenten Substrates vermieden werden konnten. Nach ca. 10-100 Sekunden, je nach Strahlungsintensität, konnte der Klebstoff voll ausgehärtet werden, so daß er die Anforderungen für Scheinwerferklebungen erfüllte.
Claims (7)
1. Verfahren zum Verbinden von Formteilen mit wärmehärtbaren Klebstoffen durch
Einstrahlung von elektromagnetischer Strahlung in die Klebefuge, dadurch
gekennzeichnet, daß das Substrat mindestens eines zu fügenden Formteils im
Bereich der Klebefuge transparent für die elektromagnetische Strahlung ist.
2. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß zumindest wesentliche
Teile der die Erwärmung des Klebstoffs bewirkenden Strahlung im
Wellenlängenbereich des nahen Infrarot liegen.
3. Verfahren nach Anspruch 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Wellenlängenbereich
des nahen IR zwischen sichtbarem Licht (0,7 µm) und 1,5 µm liegt.
4. Verfahren nach mindestens einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch
gekennzeichnet, daß das für die Strahlung transparente Substrat aus Glas, Plexiglas
(PMMA), Polycarbonat oder Polystyrol ist.
5. Verfahren nach mindestens einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, gekennzeichnet
durch einen wärmehärtbaren Klebstoff auf der Basis einer nichtwäßrigen Dispersion,
enthaltend mindestens ein nur an der Oberfläche desaktiviertes Polyisocyanat und
wenigstens ein mit Isocyanat reaktives Polymer.
6. Verfahren nach mindestens einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch
gekennzeichnet, daß die zu fügenden Formteile (1, 2) im Bereich der Klebefuge nach
Art des Nut- und Feder-Prinzips ausgebildet sind, wobei das transparente Formteil
einen U-förmigen Nutvorsprung (3) aufweist, dessen waagerechter Schenkel (4) auf
der dem nicht transparenten Formteil (2) abgewandten Seite angeordnet ist und das
nicht transparente Formteil einen federartigen Vorsprung (5) aufweist und der härtbare
Klebstoff (6) die durch Nut und Feder gebildete Fuge ausfüllt.
7. Verfahren nach mindestens einem der vorherigen Ansprüche zur Herstellung von
Scheinwerfer- und Lampengehäusen im Fahrzeugbau.
