Abstract

2.1. A snail fence, the structural elements of which have obliquely angled edges and are made of sheet metal, is quite heavy, and the corners of such a snail fence cannot be erected without additional corner joints, which makes the snail fence itself too heavy and also makes its erection difficult.2.2. A compact snail fence according to the invention consists of thin metal sections (1), (8) and (10) which have a rather narrow and arched collar (2) from above, which is directed downwards and to the side, and the sections are coupled to each other by their vertical slots either in a line or perpendicular to each other, thus creating an insurmountable obstacle for the snails along the compact snail fence.The main advantages of the compact snail fence are its low weight and the absence of additional corner joints.

Description

Regardless of whether concrete, plastic or sheet steel is used for snail fences, their construction is the same for almost all models: the upper edges of the fence must be designed in such a way that snails cannot overcome them.

From the state of the art, a snail fence (type VZ01 metal galvanized) is known, which consists of a sheet of metal and whose elements have an obliquely angled shape.

The disadvantage of such a snail fence is that its structural elements are quite heavy and the corner of the snail fence cannot be erected without additional corner connections, which makes the snail fence itself heavy and also makes its erection more difficult.

The present invention is based on the task of devising a compact snail fence.

This problem is solved by the features of patent claims 1 and 2.

A rectangular compact snail fence consists of thin metallic sections of three types, with the section of each type having a shape consisting of a lower and an upper rectangle of different lengths, between which an isosceles trapezoid is arranged.

From above, each section has an arcuate collar with a radius of at least 10 mm. The collar is directed downwards and to the side so that its horizontal and straight lower edge is parallel to the surface of the section and is located at a distance of at least 10 mm from it.

The sections are connected to each other by means of vertical slits, with one slit and a flat collar edge in line.

The dimensions of the vertical slots, which are opened from below in the sections of the first and third type and from above in the section of the second type, as well as the distance between the slot and the adjacent edge of the section, are sufficient to conveniently/unhinderedly connect the sections to each other and to ensure the integrity of the edges of the sections when they are inserted into vertical slots, while the lower edges of the sections are completely in contact with the ground after their connection.

One of the edges of the collar of the section of the 1st type has the shape of a spherical surface with a minimum radius of 10 mm to connect the collars of the sections forming one of the corners of the rectangular snail fence. The sections of the 2nd and 3rd types serve to extend the sides of the compact snail fence.

The edges/ends of all sections have identical diagonally divided shape so that the snails could not crawl along such edges to the outside of the collars.

In order to ensure that the connected sections are at the same level, their lower edges are located in the clamping area of an edge protection profile, for example a stainless steel edge protection profile KS1-2-POM, which is located in a corresponding horizontal groove in the ground.

A kit used to erect compact fences contains a certain number of sections with an edge protection profile, the properties of which are comparable to the features of the corresponding objects defined by the claims filed.

An embodiment of the compact snail fence according to the invention, its sections and an edge protection profile are shown in the 1 to 5 explained.

3 shows the section 10 which serves to extend the sides of the compact snail fence and which has the slots 5 opened from below, the edges 7 of the section 10 having identical obliquely divided shapes;

4 shows a perspective view of the coupled sections 1, 8 and 10, wherein the lower edges of the coupled sections 8 and 10 are located in the clamping area of an edge protection profile 11;

5 shows the section 10, the lower edge of which is in the clamping area of an edge protection profile 11, which is located in a corresponding horizontal groove in the ground.

The main advantages of the compact snail fence are its low weight and the absence of additional corner connections.

Snail fence made of a sheet metal, the elements of which have an obliquely angled shape, for the purpose of its improvement, characterized in that - a rectangular compact snail fence consists of thin metal sections (1), (8) and (10) of three types, the section of each type having a shape comprising a lower and an upper rectangle of different lengths, between which an isosceles trapezoid is arranged, - an upper rectangle of the sections (1), (8) and (10) having a sufficient height to form from the top of the sections (1), (8) and (9) an arcuate collar (2) whose radius is not less than 10 mm, the collar (2) being directed downwards and to the side so that its horizontal and straight lower edge (3) is parallel to the surface of the section (1), (8) or (10) and is located at a distance of at least 10 mm from it, - a flat collar edge (4) of each section of any type and a corresponding slot (5) or (9) in a vertical plane - the dimensions of the vertical slots (5) and (9), which are opened from below in section (1) and (10) and from above in section (8), as well as the distance between the slot (5) or (9) and the adjacent edge (7) of each section (1), (8) or (10) are sufficient to conveniently/unhinderedly connect the sections (1), (8) and (10) to each other and to ensure the integrity of the edges (7) of the sections (1), (8) and (10) when they are mutually inserted into vertical slots (5) and (9), the lower edges of the sections (1), (8) and (10) being completely in contact with the ground after their connection, - one of the edges of the collar (2) of the section (1) has the shape of a spherical surface with a minimum radius of 10 mm to connect the collars (2) of the sections (1) and (8), by which one of the corners of the rectangular snail fence is formed, - wherein the sections (8) and (10) are connected to each other by means of slots (5) and (9) in order to extend the sides of the compact snail fence, - the edges (7) of sections (1), (8) and (10) have an identical obliquely divided shape so that the snails could not crawl along such edges to the outsides of the collars (2). Compact snail fence after Claim 1 , characterized in that, for the purpose of providing an equal level of the coupled sections (1), (8) and (10), their lower edges are located in the clamping area of an edge protection profile (11), preferably stainless steel edge protection profile KS1-2-POM, which is located in a corresponding horizontal groove in the ground.
