Abstract

Description

The present invention relates to a piece of furniture, in particular a kitchen piece of furniture, with a furniture front in which at least one recess, in particular a recessed grip, is formed which is elongated along a first direction, a profile strip delimiting the recess being provided, and the profile strip being a receptacle for a cord or band-shaped arrangement of LED lamps.

A generic piece of furniture is from the DE 20 2014 105 067 U1 known. A light carrier strip can be releasably attached to a profile strip arranged in a recess using Velcro. The light carrier strip has an elongated cavity that is open at the bottom and has a dovetail profile in the upper area that forms a receptacle, into which a strip-shaped circuit board equipped with LEDs is inserted. This appears to be time-consuming and complex to produce.

Based on the furniture mentioned at the beginning, the invention is based on the task of implementing lighting in the recess in a simpler manner.

This task is solved by a piece of furniture with the features of claim 1. Advantageous embodiments of the invention can be found in the subclaims.

The present invention therefore proposes that the cord- or ribbon-shaped arrangement of LED lamps has a cord- or ribbon-shaped support body made of flexible material in which the LED lamps are accommodated and held, and that the profile strip extends along the first direction and has a receiving groove forming the receptacle and that the cord or band-shaped arrangement of LED lamps can be inserted into the receiving groove with the carrier body with flexible deformation of the carrier body and is held therein in a form-fitting and/or clamping manner when inserted.

The recess can serve to visually design the furniture, or it can separate front elements from one another or serve as a transition between adjacent front elements. Advantageously, the recess can also form a recessed grip for operating a furniture element, in particular a drawer. By engaging the recessed handle, a lower drawer can be grasped and pulled out from above or an upper drawer from below.

The first direction is typically horizontal in a situation of use of the furniture, but can also be oriented vertically.

The profile strip can be made of metal, in particular aluminum, plastic or another preferably light material.

Advantageously, due to the flexible material of the carrier body, the cord or band-shaped arrangement of LED lamps can be bent and therefore inserted into the receiving groove without requiring additional manufacturing steps. According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the flexible material is elastically flexible. This means that it strives to return to its original shape. It is advantageous if the flexible material is made from an elastomer base, in particular a silicone base.

In one embodiment of the invention, the LED lamps can, for example, protrude from the carrier body or, in an alternative embodiment of the invention, be enclosed by the carrier body. Furthermore, the carrier body can be designed in such a way that it protects the LED lamps from moisture. This is advantageous when used in rooms where moisture can occur, such as kitchens or bathrooms.

The cord or ribbon-shaped arrangement of the LED lamps can advantageously be manufactured as an endless material. The cord or band-shaped arrangement of LED lamps can be easily adapted to the length of the recess in the first direction by a cutting process.

The receiving groove preferably extends continuously, but could also be designed to be interrupted in order to hold the arrangement of LED lamps in a clip-like manner.

Because the carrier body is resiliently deformable, it can be held in the receiving groove in a clamping or form-fitting manner.

The inventively simple solution for mounting the LED lamps by inserting or pressing in the carrier body made of flexible material enables installation at the place of use of the furniture. No additional components such as covers, brackets or screws or retaining strips for LEDs are necessary. Due to the small number of components of the lighting device, a small amount of space is required in the recess. Furthermore, due to the small number of components, the handling of the individual parts in production is difficult tion and assembly simplified. This leads to a reduction in costs and effort.

To ensure a clamping hold, the carrier body can have a slight excess size in relation to the receiving groove. Furthermore, the holding can be realized by means of friction between the carrier body and the receiving groove. Preferably, the profile strip with the receiving groove is dimensioned such that dimmable LED lamps with light temperature control can be used.

In a further embodiment of the invention, the profile strip is essentially J- or C-shaped in cross section.

In the case of a J-shaped cross section, the profile strip has an elongated section which merges discontinuously or preferably in an arc shape at one end into a shorter section which runs essentially orthogonally to the elongated section. In a usage situation with a horizontally extended profile strip, the longer section is oriented vertically (hereinafter also referred to as vertical section) and the shorter section is oriented horizontally (hereinafter also referred to as horizontal section). The vertical section forms a rear side of the recess that is set back from the furniture front, with the horizontal section delimiting a base of the recess and the recess having an opening towards the furniture front. For example, a profile strip with a J-shaped cross section can limit a recess below a cover plate of a piece of furniture, in particular below a worktop of a kitchen piece of furniture. The vertical section extends to the underside of the cover plate.

In the case of a C-shaped cross section of a profile strip, the profile strip has an elongated section, the ends of which merge discontinuously or preferably in an arc shape into shorter sections which run essentially orthogonally to the elongated section.

For example, a profile strip with a C-shaped cross section can form a recess between drawers.

In an embodiment of the invention with a vertically extending recess and profile strip, all sections or legs of the profile strip extend vertically and then run set back to the furniture front or transversely to it in the depth direction.

The receiving groove preferably has a groove base and two adjoining groove flanks that are opposite one another and in particular essentially parallel to one another and is therefore U-shaped.

The cord or band-shaped arrangement of LED lamps with the carrier body can be inserted into a U-shaped receiving groove with flexible deformation of the carrier body. The groove flanks, which are essentially parallel to one another, enable the arrangement of LED lamps to be held in a positive and/or clamping manner. The groove flanks can have a slightly smaller distance from one another than the width of the carrier body in order to achieve a press fit of the LED lamps in the receiving groove. The groove flanks can additionally or alternatively be designed to have a rough surface in order to hold the carrier body in the receiving groove even better. Furthermore, additional or alternative ribs or undercuts can be provided on the groove flanks in order to hold the carrier body in a form-fitting manner in the receiving groove.

According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the groove flanks and the groove base are formed in one piece with and from the material of the profile strip. The one-piece design of the profile strip and receiving groove enables simple on-site assembly and better handling in production compared to multi-part solutions. The profile strip is advantageously designed as an extrusion part.

It proves to be advantageous if the receiving groove runs along an upper region of the profile strip. In the usage situation, the main radiation direction of the LED lamps is directed downwards and the recess is better illuminated. Glare-free viewing of the illuminated recess is possible, and light enters the room as pleasant scattered light.

It proves to be advantageous if the receiving groove forms an insertion direction for the cord- or band-shaped arrangement of LED lamps which is directed transversely to the first direction and in particular parallel to the groove flanks and in the direction of the groove base.

Advantageously, the receiving groove and the cord- or band-shaped arrangement of LED lamps are oriented in such a way that a main radiation direction of the LED lamps is inclined backwards away from the furniture front, so that light is emitted as scattered light from the elongated recess. Furthermore, if the recess is a recessed grip, this orientation of the receiving groove enables unobstructed intervention in the recess.

It proves to be advantageous if the main radiation direction of the LED lamps is inclined to a vertical at an angle of 25° to 50°, in particular at an angle of 30° to 40°, in particular at an angle of 35°.

An embodiment of the invention is advantageous if there are two furniture fronts adjoining one another at an angle and in particular at right angles, in which adjacent profile strips delimiting a respective recess are provided, and that the profile strips connect to one another via a corner connector part and that a respective cord or band-shaped Arrangement of LED lamps extends through the corner connector part or at least electrical control lines for the cord or band-shaped arrangement of LED lamps extend through the corner connector part.

By means of the corner connector part, two profile strips arranged at an angle to one another can connect to one another at a corner, and a joint between the profile strips can be covered. It is thus possible to connect two or more profile strips delimiting respective recesses to furniture fronts using corner connector parts.

An arrangement of LED lamps can also be used with their carrier body in the receiving grooves of the profile strips connected via the corner connector parts, with flexible deformation of the carrier body. The arrangement of LED lamps then also extends through the corner connector parts. This reduces the number of necessary components and simplifies the electrical control. It can also illuminate a corner area. Furthermore, cost-effective, uniform and shadow-free illumination of two or more recesses adjoining one another using corner connector parts can be achieved.

It is advantageous here if the corner connector part has an arcuate receiving groove, which is designed correspondingly and in alignment with the receiving grooves of the adjacent profile strips.

For example, it is possible for free-standing furniture, especially a kitchen island, to illuminate a recess running all the way around four furniture fronts.

It can prove to be advantageous if the furniture has several recesses that extend horizontally to one another and one above the other when the furniture is in use, each of which forms a recessed grip for gripping and operating a drawer. A profile strip according to the invention delimiting the recess with an inserted arrangement of LED lights for illuminating the recesses can be provided in each recess.

It also proves to be advantageous if the cord or band-shaped arrangement of LED lamps together with the carrier body can also be removed manually from the receiving groove with flexible deformation of the carrier body. This makes it possible to easily replace the entire cord or strip-shaped arrangement of the LED lamps in the event of defective LED lamps.

The receiving groove 42 forms an insertion direction 62 directed parallel to the groove flanks 60 and in the direction of the groove base 58 for the arrangement of LED lamps 38.
