Abstract

The invention relates to a roof edge finish for flat roofs or gently sloping roofs, which is formed from at least one base body and a cover plate, in which the at least one base body has a double U-profile shape in cross section, in which each U-profile of the base body has an in vertically arranged opening, in which the first U-profile has an upwardly open opening and the second U-profile has an downwardly open opening, and in which a spring clip for the detachable accommodation of the cover plate is arranged on the base body.

Description

The invention relates to a roof edge closure for flat roofs or gently sloping roofs.

Flat roofs or gently sloping roofs are often covered with bitumen sheeting. The water drainage on flat roofs is often provided in the middle of the roof so that the water is drained through the house. A so-called forced drainage point is provided here.

In addition to these roof structures, roofs with parapets are also known from practice. The structure of the attic in its present form is in most cases a roof border of a flat roof. This is a roof structure with a height of, for example, 20 or 30 centimetres. With an attic there are forced drainage points where the water is discharged.

Towards the edge, the sealing membranes must be attached to the edge of the roof. For this purpose, roof end panels are known from practice, which not only fulfill the purpose of achieving a pleasing appearance of the facade, but primarily to prevent the penetration of moisture or moisture in the edge area of the roof covering.

At the same time, other requirements placed on roof end cladding must also be met, in particular simple assembly and disassembly, vibration-proof attachment to the masonry and no deformation due to thermally induced material movements.

From the state of the art ( DE 1 709 034 A ) is known a roof cladding, in which the roof connection plate has a channel profile that is open at the top and runs in the longitudinal direction, into which the roof covering is glued and to which vertical chutes with a preferably rectangular cross-section are attached from below at longitudinal intervals and connected to the channel via openings are.

This roof end profile, which is part of the prior art, has the disadvantage that water can only drain from the rain gutter formed from the roof end profile. An additional arrangement of other devices, such as sun protection, is not provided according to this roof end paneling, which is part of the prior art.

Furthermore belongs to the state of the art ( DE 199 15 347 C1 ) a roof edge termination of a gently sloping roof. This prior art roof edge finish consists of a profile, namely an angled roof edge retaining profile, which is connected circumferentially to the roof by screws that engage through the roof support flange. The roof edge retaining profile has a downward-pointing web at the front, which has at least one nose-shaped projection at the transition to the roof flange for hanging a water-repellent profile on the verge.

This roof edge end profile, which is part of the prior art, has the disadvantage that a rain gutter is only hooked in, so that it can come loose in a storm or the like. On the other hand, there is also no possibility with this roof edge profile to additionally mount a sun protection device if required.

In addition, the end plate is flexibly suspended by means of appropriate folds. However, the end plate is relatively difficult to assemble.

Furthermore belongs to the state of the art ( DE 23 38 495 A1 ) a roof termination at the gable and at the roof foot, especially with a gable roof.

This roof end profile provides a drainage option for water behind a gable cladding.

A device for sun protection cannot be attached with this roof sealing profile either.

The technical problem on which the invention is based consists in specifying a roof edge closure for flat roofs or gently sloping roofs, which can be used in a variety of ways and with which a sun protection device can be arranged from the start or subsequently.

This technical problem is solved by a roof edge termination with the features according to claim 1.

The roof edge closure according to the invention for flat roofs or gently sloping roofs, which is formed from at least one base body and a cover plate, is characterized in that the at least one base body has a double U-profile shape in cross section, that each U-profile of the base body has a having an opening arranged in the vertical direction, that the first U-profile has an opening open at the top and the second U-profile has an opening open at the bottom, and that a spring clip for the detachable accommodation of the cover plate is arranged on each base body.

The roof edge closure according to the invention has the advantage that a rain gutter, preferably adjustable in height, can be arranged in the base body in the first U-profile, which is open at the top. A device for sun protection, for example a blind, a roller blind or the like, can be arranged in the second U-profile, which is open at the bottom.

In addition, a spring clip is arranged on the base body for the detachable accommodation of the cover plate.

The cover plate is advantageously arranged on the spring clip with its one end. With the other end it overlaps an edge of the base body.

The required contact pressure on the cover plate is generated by the spring clip. At the same time, it is possible to arrange the cover plate on the base body relatively easily and with little effort.

This makes assembly of the cover plate very easy.

The cover plate can also be easily removed if the roof edge finish needs to be inspected. For example, to clean the gutter, the cover plate can be removed in order to gain good access to the gutter and clean it.

The roof edge closure according to the invention also has the advantage that the water is drained all the way round and not, as is known from practice, at individual forced drainage points.

In addition, the roof edge closure according to the invention can be used with all types of roofing, e.g. glass, bitumen, plastic sealing membranes, metal roofing, roof tiles and the like.

According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the base body is designed as a bracket. The base body can advantageously be designed as a stainless steel bracket. However, the base body can also consist of other materials.

Due to the bow-shaped design, the base body can be manufactured and installed in a simple manner. Several bracket-shaped base bodies can be arranged at a distance from the wall of the house. After the assembly of the bracket-shaped base body, for example at a distance of half a meter or one meter, the rain gutter can be arranged in the U-profile, which is open at the top, at the desired height.

A blind can then be arranged in the downwardly open U-profile, which is preferably arranged on the side of the house wall.

The cover plate can then be detachably fastened to the base bodies by hooking it into the spring clip and reaching over a preferably angled end of the U-profile which is open at the top.

According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the U-profile of the base body that is closer to the cover plate is open at the top.

This means that the rain gutter, which is arranged in the U-profile that is open at the top, is arranged away from the wall of the house and thus reliably drains the water.

According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the cover plate has an upper end which is folded over and extends over an upper end of the U-profile of the base body, which is open at the top.

With this design, the cover plate is on the one hand on the spring clip, which generates the required contact pressure. The bent upper end of the cover plate rests against the upper end of the U-profile, which is open at the top. The folding of the cover plate makes it possible for the end of the cover plate to spring open during assembly.

A further advantageous embodiment of the invention provides that an upper end of the U-profile, which is open at the top, facing towards the cover plate is beveled and is designed as a bearing surface for the cover plate.

This configuration provides a bearing surface for the cover plate, so that the cover plate bears against the spring clip on the one hand and on the bearing surface formed by the bent end on the other. This ensures that the cover plate is securely fastened to the base body.

According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the spring clip is arranged on a web of the U-profile, which is open at the top, and on the outside on the U-profile, which is open at the top, of the base body.

This embodiment ensures that the spring clip is arranged on the part of the base body that is remote from the house wall, namely where the cover plate surrounds the base body. This ensures easy assembly of the cover plate.

According to a further advantageous embodiment it is provided that a rain gutter can be arranged in the upwardly open U-profile of the base body. This embodiment has the advantage that the rain gutter can be mounted in the base body at an equidistant distance from the house wall. In addition, the rain gutter is shielded from the visible side by the cover profile, so that it has an aesthetically pleasing appearance.

According to a further advantageous embodiment, the rain gutter can be arranged in a height-adjustable manner in the U-profile of the base body, which is open at the top. This has the advantage that the gutter can be arranged in the base body in such a way that the water running off the roof is guided optimally into the gutter.

A further advantageous embodiment of the invention provides that a sun protection device can be arranged in the downwardly open U-profile of the base body.

This sun protection device can be installed directly during installation of the roof edge closure according to the invention. However, the sun protection device can also be retrofitted.

The roof edge closure according to the invention thus has the advantage that the rain gutter and a sun protection device can be mounted on the base body and that the end plate is only hung resiliently, on the one hand in the spring clip and on the other in the base body. The roof edge closure according to the invention makes it possible to drain the roof completely to the outside, since there is a flat roof edge and a rain gutter is nevertheless arranged.

The drainage to the outside increases the tightness and thus the certainty that no water penetrates anywhere.

The body of the invention are attached to a house wall.

The rain gutter can be arranged on the base body in a height-adjustable manner by arranging a further bracket on the base body. The bracket advantageously has a slot in each of the two legs, whereby the height of the bracket and thus the height of the rain gutter can be adjusted.

The spring clip is advantageously arranged below the receptacle for the gutter. A fold of the cover plate can be hung in the spring clip. The cover plate encloses the spring clip with one end and has a front covering area remote from the house wall. The other end of the cover plate is folded so that it can be guided over a bearing surface of the base body in a resilient manner and is held there.

According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the spring clip has two arms.

These two arms rest against an inner surface of the cover plate. On the arm facing the house, a fold of the cover plate is arranged. The second arm faces away from the house and ensures that the cover plate is firmly attached to the body when it is latched.

As already stated, a sun protection device can advantageously be arranged in the U-profile, which is open at the bottom. The sun protection device can be a blind, for example.

If no blind is arranged, the cover plate can be designed in such a way that it also covers the receiving area for the blind.

According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, it is provided that an arm of the spring clip that is arranged in the direction of the U-profile that is open at the bottom is designed as an arm that leaves the opening of the U-profile that is open at the bottom. In this case, the cover plate also leaves the opening of the U-profile, which is open at the bottom, open so that the blind can be arranged on the base body.

According to a further advantageous embodiment, it is provided that an arm of the spring clip arranged in the direction of the downwardly open U-profile is designed as an arm that at least partially covers the opening of the downwardly open U-profile.

If no blinds are arranged, spring clips are provided, which have a longer arm in the direction of the house wall. This arm at least partially covers the opening of the U-profile, which is open at the bottom. Since the beveled end of the cover plate encompasses the arm of the spring clip, the cover plate also covers the downward-facing opening of the wall of the house arranged U-profile at least partially, preferably almost completely.

According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the cover plate has a lower bent end for embracing an arm of the spring clip. With this embodiment already described, it is possible to hang the cover plate very easily in the arm of the spring clip directed toward the house wall and to snap it into place at the other end of the U-profile of the base body, which is open at the top.

A further advantageous embodiment of the invention provides that the base body has at least one elongated hole through which fastening means for fastening the base body to a house wall can pass.

The base body is advantageously fastened to a house wall by means of fastening means, for example screws. Long holes are provided to align all base bodies at the same height. Slotted holes are provided in one leg of the base body in order to be able to align the base body with the double U profile in terms of height.

The roof edge closure according to the invention has the advantage that the roof edge closure can be completely installed on site.

No prefabrication in a workshop is required. Due to the complete assembly on site, structural adjustments can also be made on site, so that the system is very flexible and easy to assemble.

Since with the roof edge closure according to the invention only the surface of the cover plate can be seen from the outside, the cover plate according to the invention also creates an aesthetically advantageous overall impression in addition to the technical features of good assembly.

The spring clip is used to generate a contact pressure of the cover plate on a web of the U-profile, which is open at the top.

The U-profile, which is open at the bottom, can be closed with the cover plate if no sun protection device is provided.

The roof edge closure according to the invention also has the advantage that the screen height can be made variable.

Fastening means for the sun protection device, for example screws or bores for screws, are advantageously provided in the base body in the U-profile which is open at the bottom. Commercially available sun protection devices can be arranged in the roof edge closure according to the invention.

The spring clip 14 ensures the required contact pressure of the cover plate 6 so that it can be arranged on the base body 2 in a detachable manner.

The connection offers the necessary security against unintentional loosening due to the contact pressure generated by the spring clip 4.
