Abstract
The sanitation element (1) has a shell (2) which is filled with loose, granular and/or gravel bulk material, preferably glass foam (3), also known as foam glass. The shell (2) is usefully in the form of a hexahedron, so that the sanitation element (1) can be easily installed. Advantageously, there is an opening (4) in the cover (2), through which the filling can be refilled or reduced on the construction site in order to increase or reduce the volume. The opening (4) can be closed loosely or with any closure (5), for example a Velcro closure. The casing (2) is designed with walls (8) to form chambers (9) for stabilization and for filling. A lattice structure (10) on the building wall enables direct contact between the filling, for example glass foam (3), and the building wall. The renovation element (1) can be seamlessly connected to other renovation elements (1) or other objects by means of individual wings (6). The renovation elements (1) thus form a closed and impenetrable wall. The rehabilitation element (1) can be used anywhere in the building, not just in the ground. For example as perimeter insulation, in roof construction or in bodies of water.
Description
The invention relates to a renovation element for external drying and full protection of building walls in the ground. It is not only suitable for the renovation of existing buildings, but also as a preventive measure for new buildings. The shell consists of a solid or flexible material, or a combination of both, with at least one chamber, preferably two or more, filled with a bulk material, preferably glass foam. The side facing the building wall consists of an open fixed or flexible grid, or a combination of both. The refurbishment element has one or more connecting wings to other refurbishment elements or parts of the building.
Common methods for preventing damp walls are vertical and horizontal barriers, which, however, have to be provided during the construction phase, subsequently they only separate the upper dry part of the wall from the lower damp part of the wall. The part of the wall in contact with the ground remains damp and wet.
In addition, drainage systems are often laid in the ground surrounding the building, which, however, drains slope and pressure water laterally and does not prevent the vertical rise of moisture in the walls.
In addition, mechanical methods are known with which horizontal cuts are made in the masonry, for example by means of saws, which interrupt the capillary action of the porous masonry. Thus, the masonry above the cut remains dry, while the masonry below the cut remains damp and wet. In the case of strong building walls, the execution of such horizontal cuts is made more difficult. In addition, these mechanical processes impair the statics of the building and can lead to cracking, for example.
Chemical methods are also used in which liquid chemical compounds are injected into the masonry, with pre-drying steps of the masonry often having to be carried out beforehand and the chemical compound also having to fill out the entire masonry in order to prevent further damp walls. The organic chemical compounds are often based on petroleum structures, are toxic and after a few years suffer considerable material fatigue with a loss of performance. Therefore, this process is expensive, harmful to the environment and unsustainable.
A system for thermal wall drying with heating pipes laid in the masonry is also known. In the event of pipe damage or bursts, there is an uncontrolled outflow, damage to the building wall and, on the other hand, only the interior insulation is usually taken into account.
A very good material would be glass foam, also called foam glass, foam glass granulate or foam glass gravel.
It is therefore the object of the present invention to create an element which dries damp building walls permanently, in an environmentally friendly, protective and cost-effective manner, without affecting the statics of the building. In addition, the object of the present invention is to prevent horizontal and/or vertical spread of moisture in the masonry and to form its new full protection.
The sanitation element according to the invention corresponds to the characterizing features of patent claim 1. Further advantageous developments of the inventive idea can be seen from the dependent patent claims.
The renovation element according to the invention enables the use and exploitation of the good properties of glass foam. These are, among other things, inorganic, made from old glass, waterproof, frost-free, no material fatigue, capillary-breaking, insulating, rodent-repellent, prevention of moss and fungus formation, non-combustible. However, this does not provide a rigid molded body that can hardly be processed at the construction site or only with difficulty, but rather a special flexible shell filled with glass foam in a loose, for example broken, state. As a result, foam glass, which previously could not be used as a plate or as granules or gravel for the purpose of the invention, can now be handled very well and, for example, in a simple, fast, effective manner tive, clean, dust-free and sustainable way even on uneven building walls.
The renovation element is light. It can be provided in various sizes and also has a high level of flexibility, adapting to any unevenness and architectural structure, so that any surface can be optimally covered. Finally, the sanitation element according to the invention can also be used successfully where oil protection, earthquake protection, earth radiation absorption and perimeter insulation are to be ensured. Other areas of application can also be in water, civil engineering and building construction.
EndeIn the present embodiment, the sanitation element 1 has a pillow-like or cushion-like cover 2 which is loosely or compactly filled with loose, for example broken, glass foam 3, also known as foam glass. It makes sense for the shell 2 to have the shape of a hexahedron, so that the sanitation element 1 can be easily installed. The glass foam 3 is granular or gravel. There is preferably at least one opening 4 in the shell 2, through which it is possible to refill glass foam 3 or to reduce the filling in order to increase or reduce the volume on the construction site. The opening 4 can be placed loosely or closed again by a
