Die Erfindung betrifft eine Verstelleinrichtung für einen Sitz, mittels welcher der Sitz zwischen wenigstens zwei Positionen verschwenkbar ist. Bei dem Sitz handelt es sich insbesondere um einen Fahrzeugsitz, welcher zwischen einer Gebrauchsstellung und einer Ruhestellung verstellbar ist. In der Gebrauchsstellung kann der auf dem Fahrzeugsitz sitzende Fahrzeuginsasse, insbesondere der Fahrer des den Fahrzeugsitz aufweisenden Kraftwagens, den Kraftwagen steuern. In der Ruheposition kann der auf dem Fahrzeugsitz sitzende Fahrzeuginsasse, insbesondere der Fahrer, entspannen. Die Verstelleinrichtung umfasst mehrere gelenkig miteinander verbundene und gelenkig mit dem Fahrzeugsitz verbindbare Gelenkelemente, welche mittels einer Spindeleinrichtung relativ zueinander ausrichtbar sind. Durch das Ausrichten der Gelenkelemente relativ zueinander, insbesondere durch ein Verschwenken der Gelenkelemente um jeweilige durch die gelenkigen Verbindungen der Gelenkelemente vorgegebenen Gelenkachsen ist der Sitz zwischen den wenigstens zwei Positionen, insbesondere der wenigstens einen Gebrauchsstellung und der Ruhestellung, verstellbar. Um den Sitz besonders platzsparend verstellen zu können, ist es erfindungsgemäß vorgesehen, dass wenigstens zwei mittels der Spindeleinrichtung verstellbare Gelenkelemente einen Kniehebel bereitstellen. Bei dem Kniehebel wird ein großer Hubweg bei besonders geringer Zug- oder Druckkraft in einem kleinen Hub mit großer Kraft umgesetzt oder umgekehrt. Bei dem Kniehebel handelt es sich somit um einen Kraftmultiplikator. Bei dem Kniehebel verschiebt sich ein Übersetzungsverhältnis zwischen aufgewendeter Kraft zu resultierender Kraft beziehungsweise von primärem Hub zu sekundärem Hub während einer Bewegung kontinuierlich. Mittels des Kniehebels ist der Sitz somit besonders präzise in seiner Position einestellbar, wobei ein zurückzulegender Hebelweg besonders gering ist. Insbesondere ist der Anlenkpunkt einem Auflagebereich für Beine des Fahrzeuginsassen auf dem Fahrzeugsitz, insbesondere für ein Knie des Fahrzeuginsassen auf dem Fahrzeugsitz, zugeordnet. Bei diesem den Knien des Fahrzeuginsassen zugeordneten Auflagebereich handelt es sich um einen Knieablagebereich des Fahrzeugsitzes auf welchem der Fahrzeuginsasse seine Knie ablegt. Bei der Anordnung des Anlenkpunktes in einem den Knieablagebereich bereitstellenden Längenabschnitt des Fahrzeugsitzes kann erreicht werden, dass in jeder Position des Fahrzeugsitzes, insbesondere der Ruheposition und in wenigstens einer der Gebrauchspositionen, der Knieablagebereich zumindest im Wesentlichen auf einer gleichen Höhe angeordnet ist. Zum Verstellen des Fahrzeugsitzes von wenigstens einer Gebrauchsstellung in die Ruhestellung kann somit der Fahrzeugsitz mittels der Verstelleinrichtung in einem einem Lendenbereich des Fahrzeuginsassen zugeordneten Längenbereich des Fahrzeugsitzes abgesenkt werden.
