Description
The invention relates to a headlight for a motor vehicle and a corresponding motor vehicle.
The known pixel light systems usually take up a large area within the headlight housing or they are not suitable for generating different types of signals.
The object of the invention is therefore to create a compact headlight which enables different signals to be displayed.
This object is achieved by the headlight according to
The headlight according to the invention is intended for a motor vehicle such as a car or a truck or a motorcycle. The headlight is preferably a front headlight of the motor vehicle.
If interactions between the headlight and components of the motor vehicle or the light graphics generated for the motor vehicle are described below and in particular in the patent claims, this is always to be understood as meaning that the interaction when the headlight is arranged or installed in the motor vehicle or in Operation of the headlight occurs in the motor vehicle.
The headlight according to the invention comprises a first lighting device for illuminating an area in front of the headlight. The first lighting device thus has the purpose of suitably illuminating the roadway in front of the headlight, and in particular generates a low beam and / or a high beam. In addition, the headlamp contains a second lighting device with a signaling function, i.e. the lighting device is not used to illuminate the road, but is used to generate light signals without an illumination function. The first lighting device and the second lighting device are arranged in a housing which comprises a cover plate through which the light is emitted from the headlight.
The second lighting device of the headlight according to the invention comprises a pixel-based display and a reflector arrangement. The pixel-based display contains a two-dimensional display surface made up of a large number of luminous pixels that are arranged in several rows and columns and can be individually controlled. In particular, 100 and more light pixels and possibly also 1000 and more light pixels are provided. The reflector arrangement has one or more reflectors.
The pixel-based display of the headlight according to the invention is set up to reproduce different images on its display surface during operation in the motor vehicle. In other words, the headlight includes a control device which controls the light pixels of the pixel-based display accordingly in order to generate different images. In addition, the reflector arrangement in the headlight according to the invention is positioned relative to the pixel-based display in such a way that different light graphics are generated in the area of the cover plate by reflecting the respective different images on the reflector or reflectors of the reflector arrangement. These light graphics are visible to a user when looking at the cover plate of the headlight.
The headlight according to the invention is characterized in that a pixel-based display is suitably combined with a reflector arrangement. In this way, a compact integration of a lighting device for signaling in a headlight can be achieved and, at the same time, the generation of different light graphics via the individually controllable luminous pixels of the pixel-based display can be guaranteed.
In a particularly preferred embodiment, at least one reflector of the reflector arrangement is positioned in the beam path of the light from the first lighting device and is designed such that at least part of the light from the first lighting device can pass through the at least one reflector. This can be achieved, for example, by an area of the reflector that is partially transparent to light, as will be described again below. Likewise, for example, in the area that crosses the beam path of the light from the first lighting device, an opening can be provided in the reflector so that the light can pass the reflector via the opening and exit the headlight.
In a particularly preferred embodiment, at least one reflector of the reflector arrangement is partially transparent to light falling on it, at least in a partial surface area. This variant is preferably used with the described embodiment combined. The transmittance in the at least one partial surface area of the corresponding reflector is preferably between 30% and 60%, but can also assume other values.
In a further preferred embodiment, at least one reflector of the reflector arrangement is tinted at least in a partial surface area. In this way, with appropriate positioning of the reflector, the inside of the housing of the headlight can only be seen with difficulty, which leads to an attractive design of the headlight when it is switched off.
In a further preferred embodiment, the reflector arrangement comprises a plurality of reflectors which are arranged offset one behind the other in a plan view of the cover plate. In this way, by reflecting different areas of the image generated by the pixel-based display on the offset reflectors, a light graphic with a three-dimensional effect of depth can be generated for the viewer.
In a further preferred embodiment, the pixel-based display is arranged on an upper side or underside of the housing and the reflector arrangement comprises one or more reflectors running at an angle to the pixel-based display, which direct at least part of the light radiation of the pixel-based display out of the housing via the cover panel. In this way, a particularly compact design of the headlight can be achieved.
Depending on the configuration, the pixel-based display can generate white light and / or colored light. If necessary, the display can also generate light in different colors and thus generate different types of light graphics very flexibly.
In a particularly preferred embodiment, the pixel-based display is an LED display and in particular a micro-LED display, in which each light pixel is formed from an LED unit which comprises one or more LEDs. A respective LED unit is preferably an RGB LED unit. Such a unit comprises a red, green and blue LED and has the advantage that, with a corresponding control, light in different colors and, in particular, white light can be generated. However, the invention is not limited to a pixel-based display in the form of an LED display. Rather, the pixel-based display can also be, for example, a DMD device or an LCD display or an LCoS display.
In a further embodiment, the headlight according to the invention is set up to generate a daytime running light as a light graphic. One variant of the daytime running lights can be adjusted by activating the pixel-based display accordingly.
In a further preferred embodiment, the headlight according to the invention is set up to generate symbols as light graphics that convey (semantic) content to the viewer. The symbols can be designed differently depending on the embodiment. For example, the symbols can include a charge status display for an energy store of the motor vehicle and / or a direction display, in particular a travel direction display (i.e. a blinker), and / or a display of an identification of the motor vehicle and / or a display of an identification of a user of the motor vehicle.
In a further embodiment, the headlight according to the invention is set up to generate an animated light graphic, i.e. a dynamically changing light graphic. In this way, attractive lighting effects can be generated by the headlight.
In a further embodiment, the headlight according to the invention is set up to generate and / or adapt a light graphic as a function of one or more operating parameters of the motor vehicle. For example, the light graphic can be adapted as a function of the speed of the motor vehicle and / or the position of the motor vehicle.
In a further variant, the headlight according to the invention is set up to generate and / or adapt a light graphic as a function of one or more actions of a user of the motor vehicle. The user actions can include user input on a user interface, such as actuating a turn signal lever. Likewise, an action can also consist of a user approaching the motor vehicle, which can be recognized by appropriate environment sensors of the motor vehicle. For example, when a user approaches, the light graphic can be used to display an identification of the motor vehicle and / or a welcome message for the user.
In a further embodiment, the headlight according to the invention is set up to generate and / or adapt a light graphic as a function of the position of a detected road user in the vicinity of the motor vehicle. In other words, the headlight according to the invention processes corresponding signals from a Environment sensors of the motor vehicle. For example, the headlight can detect when a pedestrian is at the edge of the road, whereupon the pedestrian is informed via a light graphic of the headlight that he has been detected. If necessary, the light graphic can also convey to the pedestrian that the driver intends to let him pass the street. The reproduction of such a light graphic can be triggered via a user input by the driver on a user interface and / or another event, for example braking of the motor vehicle. An autopilot system (autonomy level or
In addition to the headlight according to the invention, the invention relates to a motor vehicle which comprises one or more headlights according to the invention or one or more preferred variants of the headlight according to the invention.

The embodiments of the invention described above have a number of advantages. In particular, a lighting device for signaling is integrated in a headlight in a compact manner via a pixel-based display in combination with reflectors. By activating the pixel-based display accordingly, different types of light graphics can be generated depending on the most varied of situations. In particular, it is also possible to generate high-resolution dynamic light graphics in the form of animations. Furthermore, the light graphics can be used to generate symbols in the form of one or more pictograms and / or textual elements in order to convey information to other road users or to an approaching user of the motor vehicle.
