Abstract
The invention relates to a method for producing an automotive lens element (2), in particular for lighting purposes, in particular for producing a headlight lens (2) for a vehicle headlight, in particular for a motor vehicle headlight (1).
Description
The invention relates to a method for producing an (optical) automotive lens element, in particular for lighting purposes, in particular a method for producing a headlight lens for a vehicle headlight, in particular for a motor vehicle headlight.

This applies in particular both in terms of the geometric dimensions and in terms of the optical properties. Headlight lenses are subject to narrow design criteria with regard to their optical properties and lighting values. This is especially true with regard to a light-dark boundary, as exemplified in Bosch - Automotive Handbook, 9 th edition, ISBN 978-1-119-03294-6, page 1040 is shown. Important lighting guidelines are the gradient G of the cut-off line and the glare value HV of the vehicle headlamp in which the headlamp lens is installed. An example of the whole to be maintained photometric values, for example, in Bosch - revealed Automotive Handbook, 9 th edition, ISBN 978-1-119-03294-6, page 1,040th For example, for the manufacture of headlight lenses, several thousand headlight lenses are to be injection-pressed, in which several thousand lenses are pressed at a low reject rate while maintaining the lighting properties. A low reject rate means in particular a reject rate of no more than 10%, in particular no more than 5%, advantageously no more than 2%.
