Description
Thema, UmfeldSubject, environment
Various funiculars have intermediate stops to improve spatial development and to increase customer attractiveness. However, the aspect that funiculars are preferably operated with one pull cable and two firmly coupled funicular cars creates the disadvantage that if the funicular car A stops at an intermediate stop, the funicular car B also comes to a standstill at the same time. In most cases, however, there is no intermediate stop at funicular car B, so that it waits almost uselessly. After the intermediate stop, the funicular continues until, for example, the funicular B stops at the intermediate stop and, at the same time, the funicular A waits almost uselessly.
Especially with longer funicular lines, which were originally merged from two individual funiculars arranged as a cascade and have several intermediate stops, this problem increases and leads to significant travel time losses.
Stand der TechnikState of the art
The state of the art is that funiculars, which are pulled up or down the mountain by a pull rope, are firmly coupled to the pull rope. If funicular railways have two funicular railway cars, they are usually firmly connected by a pull rope, so that if one car is stopped, the other car is stopped.
Cable trams and also various people movers are rope-based railways that are moved or pulled directly by circulating ropes and have a more pronounced similarity to funiculars than the Agudio system. By using clamping devices, as they are already available in various designs, you can separate from the circulating, moving pull rope and stop. Similar clamping devices are also used on circulating cable cars to uncouple the gondolas at the mountain, valley and intermediate stations.
Kritik am Stand der TechnikCriticism of the state of the art
Clamping devices, such as those used in cable trams, people movers or cable cars, can hardly be used to enable operation of a funicular with a circulating rope, so that one funicular car can stop independently of the other funicular car. This is due to the fact that pulling rope speeds of 8 m / s are part of everyday operational life and speeds of 14 m / s are technically possible (the cable tram in San Francsico runs at a maximum of 4.25 m / s). If at these high rope speeds, a funicular car uncoupled from a circulating hoist rope has to accelerate uphill in order to be coupled to the haul rope, either an expensive infrastructure-side acceleration device or a long grinding process between the clamping device and the haul rope is required. This grinding process damages the materials of the clamping device and the pull rope, so that the life expectancy of both components would be reduced too much. With regard to technical feasibility, this wear and tear when coupling with a clamping device is the main argument against operating with disengageable funicular cars. For the additional effort in terms of operational coordination, operational safety, the brakes, the necessary circulating rope, as well as the stronger drive due to the temporarily uneven load, there are solutions according to the state of the art that has now been achieved.
The object of the invention is therefore to improve the state of the art and to implement a cable support system for funicular cars, which enables a funicular car to be stopped and accelerated while a revolving pull cable continues to move, provided that there is no grinding process takes place between the rope holder and the rope, so that the operational processes of funicular railways can be improved with intermediate stops.

This circumferential fixing roller-based circumferential hoist cable support system for funicular cars is used to stop and accelerate funicular cars without creating a grinding action against the relatively moving circumferential hoist rope.
- 1) Train operation or synchronous operation: The funicular car (
1 ) is driven by the circulating rope (4th ) pulled up the mountain or lowered the mountain. The rotary fixing roller (11 ) of the revolving rope support system so that the revolving fixation roller (11 ) takes place. As a result, the speed of the funicular car is identical to the cable speed and the circulating cable support system fulfills the function of a conventional cable support system. In this operating condition, the funicular car (1 ) run a conventional funicular by pulling it while hanging from the rope. - 2) Targeted suspension of train operations or synchronous operation for stopping: The funicular car (
1 ) reduces its speed to stop. For this purpose, the rotational fixation or braking force of the mechanical brake (15th ) on the rotary fixing roller (11 ) of the revolving fixation roller-based revolving rope support system, so that the revolving fixation roller (11 ) targeted increasingly stronger around its axis (14th ) can rotate with the aim that the circulating hoist rope (4th ) faster than the funicular car (1 ) moved and under the funicular car (1 ) via the circulating cable support system described here, guided by the cable entry devices (12 ,13 ), runs through. By rolling on the rotary fixing roller used here (11 ) the circulating hoist rope does not drag, although the relative speed between the circulating hoist rope (4th ) to the funicular car (1 ) is continuously changed until the funicular car (1 ) has stopped. In addition, the funicular car is supported by other on-board braking systems, especially when descending. - 3) Targeted holding of the funicular car: the funicular car (
1 ) and the circulating rope (4th ) keeps moving. In this case, the revolving hoist rope support system based on the pulley enables the hoisting rope to pass through (4th ) under the funicular car (1 ). The vehicle is designed in such a way that the rotary fixing roller (11 ), of the circulating hoist rope support system either through an exact rotation speed control the circulating hoist rope (4th ) can be run through exactly so fast that the funicular car does not move downhill or uphill. Even in thisoperating state 3 does not find any loops between the revolving rope (4th ) and a mounting or guide component instead, so that the materials are protected. In addition, the funicular car is firmly secured in its position by further braking systems on the vehicle, especially when descending. - 4) Targeted synchronization: The funicular car (
1 ) accelerates until it is back in sync with the circulating rope (4th ) continues. The rotational fixing of the rotary fixing roller (11 ) slowly increases so that the rotational speed of the orbital fixing roller (11 ) continuously reduced until it finally comes to a standstill. Even in this operating state there is no dragging between the circulating hoist rope (4th ) and the hoisting rope support system, as the hoisting rope (4th ) always on the rotary fixing roller (11 ) of the funicular car is resting and rotating infeed devices (12 ,13 ) is guided unwinding. In addition, the funicular car can be supported by other on-board brake systems. - 5) Targeted slow travel: the funicular car (
1 ) moves slower than the revolving rope (4th ). In this optional operating state, a targeted setting of the rotational speed of the rotary fixing roller (11 ) a constant slow travel of the funicular car (1 ), which does not affect the opposing funicular car. In addition, the funicular car is supported by other on-board braking systems during the descent.
