The object of the present invention is to further develop a projection device, a motor vehicle and a method of the type mentioned at the beginning in such a way that a particularly advantageous projection can be implemented.
According to the invention, this object is achieved by a projection device with the features of claim 1, by a motor vehicle with the features of claim 9 and by a method with the features of
A first aspect of the invention relates to a projection device for a motor vehicle, in particular for a passenger vehicle. The projection device comprises at least one imaging element which is arranged in the interior of the motor vehicle and which has or forms at least one imaging surface. In particular, the imaging surface is at least part of a surface of the imaging element. The imaging surface or the surface is preferably a visible side, also referred to as a visible surface, which faces the interior space and is optically perceptible, that is to say visible, by a person staying in the interior space. The visible side can preferably also be perceived by the person haptically. The imaging surface or the imaging element is preferably arranged so as to be free of overlap with respect to a window of the motor vehicle embodied as a windshield, for example. Furthermore, the projection device comprises at least one projection element, which is arranged in the interior and is also referred to as a beamer, for example, for projecting at least one virtual image onto the imaging surface. In other words, the projection element is designed to project at least one virtual image onto the imaging surface and thus to generate a projected, virtual image on the imaging surface.
In order to be able to realize a particularly advantageous projection, that is to say a particularly advantageous generation of the virtual image, it is provided according to the invention that the imaging element is held reversibly releasably on a component arranged in the interior. In other words, the imaging element and the component are two separately formed and reversibly, that is, non-destructively detachable components connected to one another, the component preferably being one from an instrument panel arranged in the interior and one from a pane of the motor vehicle is a different component. Because the imaging element is reversibly detachably held, in particular fixed, on the component, the imaging element can be alternately detached from the component and re-attached to the component several times without damaging or destroying the imaging element or the component. In this way, for example, the imaging element can be detached from the component in a particularly simple and needs-based manner and reconnected to the component so that, for example, the imaging element can be exchanged in a simple manner and as required, that is, can be exchanged for another or another imaging element. In this way, in interaction with the virtual image projected or projectable onto the imaging surface, an individual light design can be created in the interior.
In particular, it is possible to optionally attach imaging elements to the same component, the imaging elements differing from one another in terms of their surfaces and / or materials or materials forming the respective imaging area. In this way, for example, a user of the motor vehicle can design the interior space to be particularly needs-based. For example, a person can choose a first imaging element formed from a base material as standard equipment and, if desired, exchange the first imaging element for a second imaging element and / or a third imaging element. The base material is made of plastic, for example, the second imaging element and / or the third imaging element being formed from a metallic material such as aluminum or from wood. Due to the possibility of exchanging the different imaging elements with one another or with one another, personalized surfaces with the respective light design can be created, since, for example, the respective imaging surface of the respective imaging element is formed by the material from which the respective imaging element is formed. If the first imaging element is formed from a plastic, for example, then the imaging surface of the first imaging element is formed from this plastic. If, for example, the second imaging element is formed from wood, the imaging surface of the second imaging element is formed by the wood. If, for example, the third imaging element is formed from the metallic material, in particular aluminum, then the imaging surface of the third imaging element is formed by the metallic material, in particular by the aluminum.
Thus, the invention preferably also includes a modular system for producing different structural variants of the projection device. The modular system comprises the at least one imaging element arranged in the interior of the motor vehicle and the at least one projection element. The modular system further comprises at least one further imaging element, which has at least one further imaging surface onto which the virtual image can be projected by means of the projection element. For example, the imaging elements differ in their materials forming the respective imaging surface and / or in their surfaces forming the respective imaging surface, with the further imaging element being reversibly detachable to hold or fasten to the component. Thus, the at least one imaging element or the further imaging element can optionally be attached to the component so that, for example, the aforementioned person can replace the imaging elements with one another as needed without damage or destruction of the imaging elements or the component. In this way, the person can design the interior according to their needs.
In order to be able to generate the virtual image particularly advantageously on the imaging surface, the projection device comprises a detection device by means of which at least one piece of information provided by the imaging element can be detected, the projection element being operable or being operated as a function of the detected information. In other words, the imaging element is preferably designed to provide at least one piece of information. The acquisition device is designed to acquire the information provided by the imaging element. In this case, the projection element can be or will be operated as a function of the captured information. For example, an electronic computing device is provided, which is also referred to as a control device, for example. The detection device provides, for example, at least one, in particular electrical, signal which characterizes the information detected. The electronic computing device receives the signal and, depending on the signal, generates at least one, in particular electrical, control signal by means of which the electronic computing device controls the projection element and thereby operates it, in particular controls or regulates it. As a result, the projection element is operated by means of the computing device as a function of the control signal and thus as a function of the signal and as a function of the captured information, so that, for example, the virtual image in Can be projected onto the imaging surface as a function of the information recorded.
Since, for example, the mapping elements described above differ from one another, their respective information provided by the mapping elements also differ, for example. Thus, for example, the virtual image is projected by means of the projection element onto the imaging surface of the at least one imaging element in a different manner than onto the imaging surface of the further imaging element. It is thus possible to take into account the differences between the imaging elements when projecting the virtual image onto the respective imaging surface so that, for example, despite the differences between the imaging elements, the virtual image can be projected particularly advantageously onto the respective imaging surface. In other words, the projection element can be adapted to the differences between the imaging element or to the respective imaging element itself, so that the virtual image can, for example, be projected onto the imaging surfaces in a particularly clearly visible manner. For example, depending on the respective information, a color and / or a shape and / or a dimension and / or a geometry of the virtual image can be set, so that a particularly advantageous projection of the virtual image can be ensured.
The imaging element has at least one information element by means of which the information is provided.
The information includes at least one property of the imaging surface.
It has been shown to be particularly advantageous if the information element has at least one pattern which can be optically detected by means of the detection device and which characterizes or defines the information. This means in particular that the pattern contains the information. The pattern is optically detected and evaluated by means of the detection device, for example, whereby the information characterized by the pattern is determined, in particular decrypted. The pattern is designed, for example, as a barcode, also referred to as a barcode, or as a QR code, so that the pattern is preferably a two-dimensional pattern. In this way, the information can be provided in a particularly simple, inexpensive and effective manner. Since the information element is part of the imaging element, the information element is held together with the imaging element on the component and detached from it again, so that, for example, based on the aforementioned imaging elements, the replacement of the imaging elements is accompanied by the replacement of the information elements.
It has also been shown to be particularly advantageous if the pattern is arranged on a surface of the imaging element facing the interior. In particular, the pattern is arranged, for example, on the aforementioned visible side, so that the pattern can be detected particularly easily by means of the detection device.
Another embodiment is characterized in that the pattern is arranged on the imaging surface. In other words, the pattern is at least a part of the imaging surface, so that the pattern is, for example, at least a part of the surface forming the imaging surface. In this way, the pattern can be integrated, for example, into the imaging surface or into the surface, so that the pattern can be detected in a simple manner by means of the detection device, but cannot be recognized as the pattern itself by a person inside. In other words, although the person can perceive the pattern with their eyes, since the pattern is at least a part of the imaging surface, the person cannot however recognize that a part of the imaging area forming the pattern is a pattern as such. In this way, the information element can be integrated into the imaging element and detected by the detection device without the information element or its pattern adversely affecting the external appearance of the imaging element.
In order to be able to provide the information particularly advantageously and precisely, it is provided in a further embodiment of the invention that the information element is designed to provide electromagnetic waves characterizing the information. In particular, the information element can be designed, for example, as an RFID chip or RFID transponder, by means of which the information can be provided without cables or wires. The detection device is designed to receive the electromagnetic waves provided by the information element, which characterize the information, and thereby to receive or determine the information. In this way, the information element can be arranged such that the information element is arranged, for example, on a rear side of the imaging element facing away from the interior space and / or in a wall of the imaging element. This can prevent the information element from having the external appearance, that is to say the appearance of the imaging element and especially the imaging surface negatively affected. Nevertheless, the information can advantageously be provided.
In a particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention, one property of the imaging surface includes a degree of reflection of the imaging surface and / or a color of the imaging surface and / or a spatial orientation of the imaging surface, in particular relative to the projection element, and / or a structure of the imaging surface and / or information via components arranged on the surface. The spatial alignment characterizes, for example, a tilting of the imaging surface, in particular relative to the projection element. Furthermore, the information can include surface positions or at least one so-called track of the imaging surface, so that the information includes, for example, certain projection areas and / or operating elements such as buttons or the like arranged on the imaging surface. In this way, the projection element can be adapted particularly advantageously to the different imaging elements so that, for example, the virtual image can be projected precisely onto the imaging surface in such a way that, for example, a person staying in the interior can perceive the image projected onto the imaging surface as such.
For example, a database is stored in a memory device of the projection device, in particular of the computing device, which comprises respective information about the different imaging elements. The information recorded by means of the recording device is assigned to one of the information items stored in the database, for example. For example, the respective mapping element is identified on the basis of the information provided by the information element, so that one of the information items stored in the database can be assigned to the identified mapping element. The information assigned to the identified imaging element and stored in the database is then used to operate the projection element as a function of the information assigned to the identified imaging element and stored in the database. Since, for example, the imaging elements are formed from mutually different materials, the imaging elements are also referred to as material inserts. The database thus characterizes the different material inputs and is a vehicle database, since it is stored in the projection device or in the storage device, which in turn is part of the motor vehicle. Thus, there is a certain intelligence on the basis of which the respective imaging element is identified and the projection element is operated in the motor vehicle itself.
In a particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention, the detection device has at least one optical sensor, in particular at least one camera, by means of which the information provided by the information element can or is detected. The optical sensor is preferably arranged in the interior. The information can be recorded in a particularly simple and precise manner by means of the optical sensor, so that the respective imaging element can be clearly identified.
In order to keep the number of parts, the costs, the installation space requirement and the weight of the projection device particularly low and to be able to capture the information precisely, the optical sensor is preferably part of the projection element or integrated into the projection element. The optical sensor includes, for example, at least one image sensor by means of which the information, in particular the pattern, can be optically captured. The projection element further comprises, for example, at least one light source for providing light by means of which the virtual image can be projected onto the imaging surface. Furthermore, the projection element comprises, for example, optics via which the projection element can emit the light provided by the light source and cast or radiate it onto the imaging surface in order to thereby project the virtual image onto the imaging surface. The optics are preferably assigned not only to the light source but also to the image sensor so that, for example, light from the interior can be guided or directed onto the image sensor via the optics. Thus, for example, the image sensor can detect the information, in particular the pattern, via the same optics via which the light emitted or provided by the light source can be emitted by the projection element and emitted into the interior, so that the information can be detected particularly advantageously and easily .

A third aspect of the invention relates to a method for operating a projection device, in particular a projection device according to the invention according to the first aspect of FIG Invention of a motor vehicle. In the case of the method, at least one projection element of the projection device arranged in the interior of the motor vehicle is used to project at least one virtual image onto an imaging surface of an imaging element of the projection device arranged in the interior.
In order to be able to project the virtual image particularly advantageously, it is provided according to the invention that an imaging element held in a reversibly releasable manner on a component arranged in the interior is used as the imaging element. The projection device comprises a detection device by means of which at least one piece of information provided by the imaging element is captured, the projection element being operated as a function of the captured information, the imaging element having at least one information element by means of which the information is provided, and the information comprises at least one property of the imaging surface.
