The EP 1 338 463 A2 describes a folding seat for commercial vehicles, which is connected via a console fixed to the vehicle. This has a backrest and a swivel seat cushion. Furthermore, vehicle seats are known which, for the purpose of space-saving stowage, can be pivoted in their entirety about a vertical axis in a non-use position, so that the seat surface points into the vehicle interior.
