Description
TECHNISCHES GEBIETTECHNICAL AREA
The invention relates to a sunscreen. In particular, this invention relates to a retractable sunshade for a canopy, porch, patio, deck or the like.
HINTERGRUNDBACKGROUND
Sunscreen is commonly used to shade outdoor living areas such as outdoor areas. Decks or a porch used in front of a house. In many climatic zones, there is an increasing need to cover an outdoor living area by means of a translucent cover. A disadvantage is that the air under the cover can overheat. In particular, in warm weather conditions, this can lead to considerable inconvenience to the residents. Direct (ultraviolet) sunlight also contributes to the damage of e.g. Plastic furniture and / or to fade fabric colors of the furniture. An alternative solution is to provide a retractable sunshade, which is only deployed when shading is needed, and which is retracted when one wishes to receive sunlight or to see the sky.
Given that you want to be protected even with retracted sunscreen from rain, wind and other weather conditions, combinations of a window or a transparent cover with a retractable sunscreen have been proposed.
A disadvantage of the current solutions is that, even with comparatively little sunlight, the area under the translucent cover, e.g. a glass cover, is heated. Regular sun protection units are either completely opaque to block all solar radiation, or at least partially translucent, to allow at least some light to enter the area under the cover. At the same time, however, a comparatively large amount of solar energy can penetrate into the area. Dimming the area involves a significant loss of luxury and may even force residents to use additional light sources to illuminate the area, which is not energy efficient. Only a darkening by means of a sunshield (sheet) does not prevent heat radiation enters the area.
In view of the fact that current translucent sunscreen units have solar energy, such as e.g. Infrared light, not blocking or even heating itself and subsequently radiate heat to the area under the sun protection unit, there is a need for an improved way to prevent warming of the area under a translucent cover without darkening the area, and maximum comfort and to provide a feeling of luxury.
OFFENBARUNG DER ERFINDUNGDISCLOSURE OF THE INVENTION

It is an object of the present invention to provide a retractable sunshade assembly which can be mounted under a translucent cover of a canopy, porch, patio, deck or the like. DETAILLIERTE BESCHREIBUNGDETAILED DESCRIPTION
The invention will now be described with reference to the figures by the following aspects and embodiments.
The invention provides a sunshade assembly that can be mounted beneath a translucent roof cover. This is particularly useful when the cover is made of glass without any heat reflection measures. These measures include a heat-reflecting layer / coating or electrochromic glass. These solutions are rather expensive and usually absent in existing roofing. The invented sun protection arrangement, however, is very suitable for mounting underneath existing covers, which are made of transparent glass or translucent polycarbonate. As a result, a comparatively affordable and flexible solution is proposed by the invention.
The invention provides a new heat-reflecting and preferably partially shading sunscreen. This prevents heat, and especially solar energy, from entering the under-cover area (hereinafter referred to as "room") from the outside. We examined the customer requirements for shading the room and concluded that the specifications at least include that a sunshade system should be flexible, i.e., the user should be able to choose whether or not to shade the room. In addition, the space should preferably not be completely darkened, as this will be detrimental to the holistic idea of a translucent roof covering.
Finally, it is preferred that the shading quality be such that heat is prevented from entering the room as much as possible when it is hot outside and that the heat is retained when it is cold outside.
We have investigated the optimal characteristics of a solar shielding sheet and have concluded that one of a mixture of aluminum fibers and Plastic provided shielding (sheet) provides an optimal result.
The preferred configuration comprises two thirds made from the aluminum fibers and one third from the plastic fibers. Metals other than aluminum may be used, but are more difficult to process or have less desirable characteristics. The plastic is preferably polyethylene terephthalate (abbreviated as PET), which is easy to manufacture and which is an excellent water and moisture insulating material and which, when used as a thread, has sufficient tensile strength and flexibility.
The preferred thickness of the sheet is between 0.1 and 0.3 mm, more preferably 0.2 mm. This provides a good balance between maximum heat reflection and minimum thickness, weight and material consumption. Minimizing the weight of the sunshade shield minimizes the load on the sunshade assembly and reduces the weight of the product sold separately as a spare part product. Minimizing the thickness reduces the space required to pull the sunshade into a housing. Minimizing material consumption reduces production costs.
Although the invented sunshade assembly is preferably mounted beneath a roof, the sunshade assembly is also suitable for vertical or near vertical orientation. It has been discovered that the sunshade assembly can be mounted at a slope of about 0 to 12 degrees under a roof. A still more preferred slope is between 6 and 10 degrees, such as 6 to 10 degrees. 8 degrees. This allows optimum control of the sunshade extension and retraction, and fits very well under a roof that is attached to a building of similar incline on the order of magnitude. The slope is usually selected based on a compromise of maximized space, practicality of available space and the ability to drain rainwater. Since our invented sunshade assembly is very well suited for spare parts assembly, it fits very well to existing roof structures.
It should be noted that the above embodiments illustrate rather than limit the invention, and that those skilled in the art will be able to design many alternative embodiments without departing from the scope of the appended claims. In the claims, parenthesized reference characters should not be construed as limiting the claims. The use of the verb "comprising" and its conjugations does not exclude the presence of elements or sequences other than those recited in the claims.
