Description
The present invention relates to the use of a specific surfactant mixture for improving the cleaning performance of a cleaning agent as defined herein. Moreover, the present invention also relates to corresponding detergents containing such a surfactant mixture, the use of such a cleaning agent for cleaning solid surfaces and a method for cleaning hard surfaces, using the described cleaning agent.
The most important criterion in dishwashing is the cleaning performance of a wide variety of soils, which are introduced in the form of food residues. In particular, there is a general need for dishwashing detergents with increased cleaning performance on a wide variety of soiling. An unsatisfactory cleaning performance of such soiling leads to dissatisfaction with the consumer. On the other hand, there is a high demand for liquid detergents, in particular hand dishwashing detergents, since these are easier to use and dose than solid means. Conventional liquid detergents often have unsatisfactory cleaning performance on a wide variety of stains. There is therefore a general need for detergents, in particular dishwashing detergents, which show improved cleaning performance / flushing performance.
The object of the present invention was therefore to identify surfactant combinations by means of which the cleaning performance of cleaning agents, in particular hand dishwashing detergents, can be improved.
This object underlying the present application is now achieved by using cleaning agents which comprise a surfactant mixture which comprises at least one amine oxide and at least one ether sulfate and optionally also at least one betaine. It has been found that such surfactant combinations still have a good flushing performance even at low total surfactant contents.
- (i) at least one amine oxide, preferably in an amount of from 0.5 to 8.0% by weight, more preferably from 0.8 to 7.0% by weight, based on the total weight of the composition; and
- (Ii) at least one ether sulfate, preferably in an amount of 3.0 to 30.0 wt .-%, more preferably 4.0 to 25.0 wt .-% based on the total weight of the composition.
In various embodiments, the agent additionally contains (iii) at least one betaine, preferably in an amount of 0.9 to 15.0% by weight, more preferably 1.5 to 12.0% by weight, based on the total weight of the composition ,
In a further aspect, the present invention is further directed to the use of a detergent as described herein, preferably dishwashing detergent, more preferably hand dishwashing detergent, for cleaning solid surfaces, and to a process for cleaning hard surfaces, characterized in that in at least one process step a detergent as described herein, preferably dishwashing detergent, more preferably hand dishwashing detergent, is used.
Finally, the invention also relates to the use of the surfactant combinations described herein for improving the rinsing performance of a dishwashing detergent, preferably hand dishwashing detergent.
"At least one" as used herein includes, but is not limited to, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and more.
All percentages given in connection with the compositions described herein, unless explicitly stated otherwise, relate to% by weight, in each case based on the mixture in question.
In the context of the present invention are fatty acids or fatty alcohols or their derivatives - unless otherwise stated - representative of branched or unbranched carboxylic acids or alcohols or their derivatives having preferably 6 to 22 carbon atoms. In particular, the oxo alcohols or their derivatives which are obtainable, for example, by the ROELEN's oxo synthesis can also be used correspondingly.
Whenever alkaline earth metals are referred to below as counterions for monovalent anions, this means that the alkaline earth metal is present only in half - as sufficient to charge balance - amount of substance as the anion.
According to the invention, a cleaning agent is to be understood as meaning all agents which are suitable for cleaning solid surfaces, for example dishwashing agents, in particular hand dishwashing detergents. Other suitable ingredients will be described in detail below.

These and other aspects, features, and advantages of the invention will become apparent to those skilled in the art from a study of the following detailed description and claims. Any feature of one aspect of the invention may be employed in any other aspect of the invention. Further, it is to be understood that the examples contained herein are intended to describe and illustrate the invention, but not to limit it, and in particular that the invention is not limited to these examples. Numeric ranges indicated in the format "from x to y" include the above values. If multiple preferred numeric ranges are specified in this format, it is understood that all ranges resulting from the combination of the various endpoints are also captured.
The cleaning agent according to the invention contains at least one amine oxide. In principle, all amine oxides which have been established for this purpose in the prior art, ie compounds which have the formula R 1 R 2 R 3 NO, in which each R 1 , R 2 and R 3 is independently of the others an optionally substituted, for example hydroxy-substituted, C 1 -C 30 hydrocarbon chain, can be used. Particularly preferably used amine oxides are those in which R 1 is C 12 -C 18 alkyl and R 2 and R 3 are each independently C 1 -C 4 alkyl, in particular C 12 -C 18 alkyl dimethyl amine oxides. Exemplary representatives of suitable amine oxides are N-cocoalkyl-N, N-dimethylamine oxide and N-tallowalkyl-N, N-dihydroxyethylamine oxide. C 12 -C 18 alkyl dimethyl amine oxides or mixtures which also contain C 16 and C 18 alkyl dimethylamine oxides are preferred over C 12 -C 14 alkyl dimethyl amine oxides. In the same way, amine oxides in which R 1 also includes C 16 and C 18 radicals are generally preferred over those in which R 1 comprises only C 12-14 radicals. In various embodiments, the amine oxides used therefore contain at least 20% by weight, preferably at least 30% by weight, more preferably at least 40% by weight, most preferably at least 50% by weight, 60% by weight, 70% by weight. -% or 80 wt .-% C 16-18 amine oxides based on the total weight of the amine oxides. In such embodiments, the remainder of the amine oxides may consist of C 12-14 amine oxides. It has been found that such long-chain amine oxides are superior to the shorter-chain in terms of cleaning performance, in particular in the surfactant combination described.

Such capsules are applied by methods known per se, for example by shaking or rolling granulation or in fluid-bed processes. Advantageously, such granules, for example by applying polymeric film-forming agent, low in dust and storage stable due to the coating.
Furthermore, it is possible to assemble two or more enzymes together so that a single granule has several enzyme activities.

The determination of the flushing capacity was carried out by an IKW plate test. It can be seen that the combination of ether sulfates with C 12-18 amine oxides gives the best results. Replacement of a part of the amine oxide by betaine leads to a deterioration of the flushing performance. Also significantly worse is the flushing performance when employing C 12-18 amine oxides, C 12-14 amine oxides. The reference is a combination of ether sulfates and betaines.
