The invention is based on the object with simple constructive measures a grinding wheel for a machine tool in such a way that the change effort of the grinding wheels is minimized for different demands on the grinding wheel and thus the set-up time for retooling the grinding wheel.
The object is achieved with a grinding wheel, in particular polishing pad, for grinding and / or polishing machining of surfaces, wherein the grinding wheel has a working side for machining workpieces and a working side opposite mounting side for attachment of the grinding wheel, wherein the working side a first abrasive and at least having a second abrasive. According to the invention, the second abrasive is set back relative to the first abrasive towards the attachment side.
The invention makes it possible to perform several operations with a grinding wheel and in particular with a polish, preferably in liquid or pasty form, such as polishing red cake, polishing slate, whiting, tin ash or cerium oxide, without having to change the grinding wheel or the polish. This is achieved by implementing two different grinding effects in a grinding wheel. This allows the grinding wheel to perform two modes. A first mode of grinding or polishing is achieved by contacting the first abrasive with a first contact force with the workpiece to be machined and machining a workpiece surface. The workpiece can be ground or polished. A second mode of operation of the grinding wheel according to the invention is made possible by pressing the grinding wheel onto the workpiece with a second pressing force, so that the second grinding means comes into contact with the workpiece to be machined and processes a workpiece surface. In this case, the second contact force is increased compared to the first. Due to the increased contact pressure, it is achieved that the first abrasive medium compresses by at least a distance by which the at least one second abrasive is set back relative to the first abrasive. Thus, at least partially, the second abrasive, in particular together with the first abrasive, be brought into contact with the surface of the workpiece in order to remove, for example, scratches from the surface of the workpiece can. The machining of the workpiece with the first abrasive may be designed in particular for a final grinding or polishing process. The grinding wheel according to the invention achieves a considerable saving of time by eliminating the need for retrofitting the grinding wheel or the polishing pad for changing requirements. Furthermore, time is saved, which would be incurred in an intermediate cleaning when converting the grinding wheels. This gives the user of the grinding wheel according to the invention a clear added value, since it can machine the workpiece to be machined in one go without having to change the grinding wheel.
In this context, a "grinding agent" should be understood to mean a means which is designed for grinding and / or polishing workpieces. The abrasive may be formed of a foam. In particular, the foam may be porous and / or permeable to air. Preferably, the foam may be formed as a closed-cell, an open-cell or a mixed cellular foam. Particularly preferably, the foam can be flexible and in particular elastically deformable. The abrasive may consist of a lambskin, a cotton skin or a synthetic fur, such as microfibers. Preferably, the abrasive may comprise at least one abrasive element, which is designed for grinding or polishing machining of the workpiece. In particular, it is also possible that the grinding elements are formed as abrasive grains, which are introduced into the abrasive.
In this context, a "grinding element" is to be understood as meaning an element which has a deforming and / or erosive effect on the workpiece to be machined. An abrasive element may be formed by an abrasive grain, in particular of a mineral and / or of a ceramic material, such as diamond, corundum, silicon carbide, boron nitride, etc. In this case, the abrasive grain can any, to a professional appear appropriate sense geometric design exhibit. Likewise, a grinding element may be at least partially formed as an edge, a corner or a taper of a surface structure, in particular a cellular surface structure of the abrasive, which causes the workpiece to be machined increased friction and temperature development, which has a deforming and / or erosive effect or in the workpiece to be machined. The surface structure may be formed as a microstructure and / or as a macrostructure. The microstructure may have a structure which is characterized by microscopically small unevenness of the surface height, for example by a roughness or by a porosity of the surface. The macrostructure may have a structure that is incorporated in the surface of the abrasive and may result in particularly advantageous grinding results. The macrostructure may be formed by slots, by elevations or by bulges, such as a dimpled, a slotted and / or a waffled surface.
Die Unteransprüche geben zweckmäßige Weiterbildungen an.The dependent claims indicate expedient developments.
It may be appropriate that the first abrasive and the second abrasive have a different hardness. In particular, the second abrasive may have a hardness which is higher than a hardness of the first abrasive. The hardness can be understood as a mechanical resistance of a body against penetration of a harder body. Furthermore, the first abrasive and the second abrasive may have a different flexibility or deformability, in particular elastic deformability. In particular, at least the first abrasive should have a deformability that is higher than a deformability of the second abrasive. "Deformability" in this context is to be understood as a property of a body that deforms due to the action of an external force, in particular at least substantially orthogonally to the longitudinal axis of the grinding wheel. Thereby, the first abrasive may be more compressed than the second abrasive, whereby the second abrasive added back to the attachment side may be brought into contact with the surface of the workpiece to be machined to machine the surface of the workpiece. Furthermore, the second abrasive may be formed more abrasive than the first abrasive.
Preferably, the at least one second abrasive is transversely, in particular at least substantially orthogonal, to the longitudinal axis of the grinding wheel at least substantially surrounded by the first abrasive. This allows advantageous support of the second abrasive transversely, in particular orthogonally, to the longitudinal axis of the first abrasive, whereby the second abrasive is easily or not too distorted.
By "substantially orthogonal" is meant in particular an orientation of a direction relative to a reference direction, in particular in a plane, wherein the direction relative to the reference direction a deviation in particular less than 8 °, advantageously less than 5 ° and particularly advantageously less than 2 °.
Preferably, a ratio between the longitudinal extent, in particular along the longitudinal axis of the grinding wheel, the second abrasive and the longitudinal extent, in particular along the longitudinal axis of the grinding wheel, the first abrasive, in the range of a minimum of 10% to a maximum of 90%, preferably in the range of 20 minimum % to a maximum of 80%, and more preferably in the range of at least 30% to a maximum of 70%. Likewise, a ratio of at least 40% to a maximum of 60% or from a minimum of 45% to a maximum of 55% is possible. hereby a compact design of the grinding wheel is achieved in the longitudinal direction, which ensures both modes of the grinding wheel. Furthermore, the contact force of the grinding wheel, which must be applied in particular for upsetting the first abrasive to be able to produce a contact of the second abrasive with the workpiece, can be optimally adapted to the contact force to be applied by an operator.
It is also proposed that the second abrasive be formed like a cylinder or a truncated cone. As an alternative, any further geometrical, in particular three-dimensional, body of the second abrasive material that appears meaningful to a person skilled in the art is also conceivable. As a result, forces that arise during a grinding or polishing process can be optimally absorbed. Furthermore, the cylindrical or frusto-conical second abrasive may be supported on the first abrasive.
Furthermore, it is proposed that the first abrasive forms a first effective area and the second abrasive forms a second effective area. Preferably, these active surfaces are provided substantially on the working side of the grinding wheel and extend transversely, in particular at least substantially orthogonally, to the longitudinal axis of the grinding wheel to the working side. The first active surface and the second active surface are designed such that in the first operating mode of the grinding wheel, the first active surface is brought with the first contact force in contact with the workpiece to be machined and in the second mode of the grinding wheel at least partially the first active surface and the second active surface with the second contact force are brought into contact with the workpiece to be machined. For this purpose, the at least two contact forces acting on the grinding wheel at least substantially orthogonally to the longitudinal axis may be required. The first pressing force can bring the first active surface into contact with the workpiece to be machined, and the second pressing force can bring at least the at least one second active surface into contact with the workpiece. The second contact pressure is greater than the first contact force.
In this context, an "effective surface" is to be understood as a surface, in particular a surface lying in an imaginary plane and intersecting the abrasive element arranged in and / or on at least one abrasive material, which surface during a grinding or polishing operation touched workpiece.
The second active surface of the at least one second abrasive material is preferably set back by up to 10 mm, preferably by up to 6 mm, particularly preferably by up to 3 mm, back to the first active surface of the first abrasive material. Preferably, the second active surface of the at least one second abrasive to the first active surface of the first abrasive to the attachment side back by up to 2, preferably be set back by up to 1 mm. Preferably, a ratio of a recessed distance, in particular the second active surface of the at least one second abrasive to the first active surface of the first abrasive, in the longitudinal direction to the longitudinal extent of the grinding wheel or at least the first abrasive in the range of a minimum of 15% to a maximum of 20%, preferably in the range from a minimum of 10% to a maximum of 25%, more preferably in the range of a minimum of 5% to a maximum of 30% possible. However, a ratio in the range of a minimum of 5% to a maximum of 40% or in the range of a minimum of 2% to a maximum of 50% is also conceivable. The distance of the first abrasive medium to be bridged to the second abrasive material can be achieved by adapting the flexibility or the elastic deformability of the first abrasive medium or by increasing the contact pressure of the grinding wheel on the workpiece. Too much flexibility of the first abrasive does not provide optimum utilization of the first mode of operation of the abrasive wheel because the first abrasive yields too fast and too strong and thus the second mode is achieved too quickly without making optimum use of the first mode of operation. On the other hand, too little flexibility of the first abrasive requires excessive force of the operator on the abrasive wheel to allow the second abrasive to contact the workpiece. An advantageous contact pressure of the grinding wheel on the workpiece to be machined can be optimally adjusted by varying the flexibility and / or the distance of the set-back second effective surface of the second abrasive to the first active surface of the first abrasive.
Furthermore, it would be conceivable that the at least one second active surface to the at least one first active surface in a range of at least 25% to a maximum of 65%, preferably in the range of 35% to a maximum of 60% and more preferably in the range of a minimum of 45% to maximum 55% lies. This allows a machining of the workpiece in an optimal ratio of the first effective area and the second effective area. As a result, an advantageous grinding or polishing performance can be achieved.
Preferably, the grinding wheel has at least one support element, which is designed to support the second abrasive. In particular, the support element can be arranged from the working side in the direction of the fastening side behind the second abrasive. This allows supporting the second abrasive and thus increasing the stability of the second abrasive. The Support member may be formed releasably connectable at least with the second abrasive. In this connection can be considered, which are provided for example on the mounting side of the grinding wheel with the sanding pad. In particular, the support element can be provided to limit the longitudinal extent to the longitudinal axis of the second abrasive means by the support member bridges the essential longitudinal extent of the first abrasive from the mounting side to the working side and connects to the second abrasive. As a result, the deformability or the flexibility of the second abrasive can be optimally adjusted. Thus, an excessive compression of the second abrasive in the longitudinal direction of the grinding wheel and a concomitant bulge transverse to the longitudinal direction can be avoided. In particular, the bulge transverse to the longitudinal direction could affect the second mode of operation of the grinding wheel in that increased friction between the first abrasive and the second abrasive may occur. Alternatively, can be dispensed with the support member, whereby the second abrasive extends from a mounting side to the working side.
Preferably, the at least one support element is harder than the first abrasive and / or as the second abrasive. In particular, the at least one support element may have a flexibility or a deformability that is less than the flexibility or deformability of the first abrasive and / or the second abrasive. This significantly increases the stability of the support element again and ensures a contact of the second abrasive material to the workpiece or the second operating mode of the grinding wheel. The support member can thus absorb larger forces without deforming too strong elastic. In particular, the at least one support element may be surrounded transversely, in particular at least substantially orthogonally, to the longitudinal axis of the grinding wheel at least substantially by the first abrasive. Thereby, the support member may be supported transversely to the longitudinal axis of the grinding wheel on the first abrasive, whereby a contact region of the support member is formed to the first abrasive, which generates frictional forces and thus minimizes excessive distortion of both the support member and the abrasive.
Furthermore, it is proposed that the first abrasive be formed at least partially from foam, in particular an open-cell foam. Alternatively or additionally, the second abrasive may also be formed at least partially from foam, in particular an open-cell foam. Alternatively or additionally, the support element may be at least partially made of foam, in particular an open-cell foam. In this case, a polyurethane foam (PUR) or ethylene vinyl acetate foam (EVA) can be used. Preferably, the formed of foam first abrasive and / or second abrasive is flexible or slightly elastically deformable. It can thereby advantageously be made possible a particularly comfortable processing of hard-to-reach portions of workpieces to be machined. In addition, an adaptation of a shape of the abrasive to a contour of a workpiece to be machined can advantageously be achieved. Thus, a precise machining of a workpiece to be machined can advantageously be made possible.
It may be expedient that the grinding wheel has a fastening element. Furthermore, the fastening element may be formed with a first side and with a second side opposite the first side. In this case, advantageously, the fastening element, in particular the first side of the fastening element, with the at least one first abrasive and / or the at least one support element connectable. As a result, the abrasives and / or the at least one support element can be brought into a predetermined position and firmly connected to the fastening element. Preferably, the second side of the fastener may be the attachment side of the grinding wheel and be designed in particular for fastening the grinding wheel. This is advantageous because the fastener allows attachment to the machine-side sanding pad.
Advantageously, the second side, in particular the fastening side, of the fastening element may be at least partially designed as a hook-loop fastening element, in particular as a hook-and-loop fastener element. As a result, the fastening element, in particular the grinding wheel, can advantageously be detachably connected to the machine-side sanding pad. Alternatively or additionally, the second side, in particular the fastening side, of the fastening element may be at least partially designed as an adhesion fastening element. In this case, the fastening element can be at least partially designed as a pressure-sensitive adhesive fastening element or another fastening element known to a person skilled in the art for detachable or non-detachable connection.
