Description
The invention relates to a method for laser beam cutting of a textile semifinished product of a fiber-reinforced plastic part, which has a plurality of superimposed textile layers, wherein the laser is guided in a cutting direction along and parallel to the cutting edge on the semifinished product.
For cutting textile semi-finished products for fiber-reinforced plastic parts, various cutting methods are known. In addition to mechanical cutting processes, for example ultrasonic cutting processes, laser cutting processes are frequently used. These offer the advantage that no mechanical stress on the semi-finished products, so that, for example, a displacement of the individual textile layers during the cutting process can be reliably excluded.
The textile layers may for example be woven or formed by a knitted or scrim.
However, the problem with this laser cutting method is that a very high heat input takes place at the cutting edge. In the case of semi-finished textile products, this leads to thermally induced bonding of the textile layers in the area of the cut edge, as a result of which sealing of the cut edge can occur. If the semifinished product is subsequently wetted with resin, it can not penetrate into the semifinished product beyond the cut edge, or only insufficiently.
However, this method leads to an uneven cut edge.
The object of the invention is to provide a method for laser beam cutting of a textile semifinished product, which ensures a high accuracy of the cut and on the other hand ensures a lower load on the semifinished product, so that subsequently a reliable wetting of the entire semifinished product with resin is possible.
To achieve the object, a method for laser beam cutting of a textile semifinished product of a fiber-reinforced plastic part is provided which has a plurality of superimposed textile layers, wherein the laser beam is guided in a cutting direction along and parallel to a cutting edge webwise over the semifinished product. According to the invention, the kerf in the textile semifinished product is not produced when traveling with the laser beam. Rather, the semi-finished product is run over several times with the laser beam. Since the laser beam is offset after each crossing transversely to the cutting direction to drive a parallel path, creating a wide kerf, through which a gluing or merging of the cut edges is prevented. By repeatedly driving over the textile semi-finished product, the heat input per crossing is also reduced, so that the heat load on the fiber-reinforced plastic part or the semi-finished product is reduced.
The offset of the laser beam after each pass is preferably between 3/10 and 3/100 mm. As a result, a uniform material removal is possible.
For example, a pulsed laser beam can be used for the method.
Alternatively, it is also possible to use a continuously emitted laser beam.
In order to enable the most flexible possible cutting of the laser beam, the laser beam is preferably deflected via an optical system, in particular mirror optics. Such optics also allow for stationary positioning of the laser individual guidance of the laser beam over the semi-finished product to be processed.
Preferably, the optics is arranged on an automated, freely programmable adjusting device, which can be moved relative to the textile semifinished product, so that the optic can be positioned and moved as desired over the semi-finished product to be processed.
The optics can be moved, for example, with the adjustment to a defined position, and then the laser beam is moved by pivoting the optics, which remains in the defined position, over the semifinished product. In this embodiment, the adjusting device is moved only before the cutting operation and used for positioning the optics. During the cutting process, the laser beam is guided only by the optics, which deflects the laser beam. If the adjusting device is moved, the laser is switched off in advance and only after reaching a new defined position switched on and moved by means of the optics on the semi-finished product. By this method, the arithmetic and control effort for cutting the laser on the semifinished product can be reduced, since only the movement of the optics must be calculated.
Alternatively, it is also possible that the optics is moved with the adjusting device over the semi-finished product and the laser beam is deflected at the same time by pivoting the optics relative to the adjusting device. This method also allows for more complex cutting, as the laser beam can be deflected more flexibly.
In order to reduce the heat input during the laser beam cutting, it is also possible that the cutting depth is gradually increased. As a result, the heat input is reduced in the textile layers of the semifinished product per crossing. It is possible, for example, for the entire cut width to be produced at one cut depth in the top textile layer (s) and then cut and removed in lower, uncovered textile layers, for example by creating an offset for the deeper cuts at the outside edge. so that the depression becomes gradually deeper.
Alternatively, an incision can be made only to the final depth, and then the laser is offset transversely to the cutting direction.
Preferably, the cut is made so that the individual textile layers of the semifinished product are cut successively at different crossings.
