Die Erfindung betrifft zunächst eine Dichtecke (1) zur Abdichtung eines sanitären Einbauteils wie beispielsweise einer Wanne, etwa einer Badewanne, Duschwanne oder einer bodenebenen Duschwanne, insbesondere zu einer umgebenden Wand, wobei die Dichtecke (1) auf Basis einer Kautschuk- und/oder Kunststofffolie, gegebenenfalls mit einer Vlieslage, ausgebildet ist und insgesamt flexibel ist, wobei weiter die Dichtecke (1) einen in einem Einbauzustand als Wandabschnitt (8) nutzbaren Abschnitt aufweist und einen sich jedenfalls im gegebenen Einbauzustand rechtwinklig dazu erstreckenden eckeninnenseitigen Absatzschnitt (10) aufweist, wobei weiter der Wandabschnitt (8) und der Absatzabschnitt (10) materialeinheitlich ineinander übergehen und darüber hinaus der einstückig mit dem Wandabschnitt (8) ausgebildete Absatzabschnitt (10) weiter einstückig in einen jedenfalls im Einbauzustand ebenfalls abgewinkelt zu dem Absatzabschnitt (10) verlaufenden und sich bezüglich des Absatzabschnittes (10) gegensinnig zu dem Wandabschnitt (8) erstreckenden Verbindungsabschnitt (9) übergeht. Um eine Dichtecke anzugeben, die insbesondere auch zur Abdichtung einer Wannenform im Hinblick auf eine aufsteigende Wand günstig ist, wird vorgeschlagen, dass zur Ausbildung des Absatzabschnittes (10) an dem vorgesehenen Übergang des Wandabschnittes (8) in den Absatzabschnitt (10) in der Kautschuk- und/oder Kunststofffolie und/oder im gegebenen Fall der Vlieslage eine bleibende sichtbare Materialeinwirkung vorliegt.
