Claims

Auxiliary device ( 10 ) for painting fingernails and toenails, with a base element ( 12 ) and one sliding in the base element ( 12 ) sliding sliding element ( 24 ), wherein the base element ( 12 ) a receiving plate ( 14 ) with a cutout ( 16 ) for receiving a tip of a nail (N), and wherein the sliding element ( 24 ) a recess ( 26 ), which is sufficiently wide to receive a nail (N), and which at least partially with a flexible sheet material ( 28 ) is covered, such that when inserting a nail (N) through the recess ( 26 ) in the section ( 16 ) protrudes a front to be painted edge (T).

Auxiliary device ( 10 ) according to claim 1, wherein the base element ( 12 ) further a base plate ( 18 ) and the receiving plate ( 14 ) at an angle to the base plate ( 18 ) is arranged.

Auxiliary device ( 10 ) according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the cutout ( 16 ) of the receiving plate ( 14 ) is substantially V- or U-shaped.

Auxiliary device ( 10 ) according to one of claims 1 to 3, wherein the flexible sheet material ( 28 ) is a latex film.

Auxiliary device ( 10 ) according to one of claims 1 to 4, in which the sliding element ( 24 ) completely out of the base element ( 12 ) is removable.

Auxiliary device ( 10 ) according to one of claims 2 to 5, wherein on an underside of the base plate ( 18 ) at least one anti-slip element or an anti-slip coating is attached.

A method for painting a fingernail or toenail with the following steps: - providing an auxiliary device ( 10 ) according to one of claims 1 to 6, - insertion of a finger (F) or toes through the recess ( 26 ) in the section ( 16 ) of the receiving plate ( 14 ), such that a front edge (T) of the nail (N) on an edge of the cutout ( 16 ) comes to rest, while the epidermis under the neckline ( 16 ), - adjusting the nail edge (T) to be painted by pushing the sliding element back and forth ( 24 ), - applying nail polish, - pulling out the sliding element ( 24 ), - removing the finger (F) or toes.
