Meist ist auch das Innere des Kraftfahrzeugs mit Lichtquellen versehen, und es wurde auch bereits eine Unterbodenbeleuchtung für Kraftfahrzeuge vorgeschlagen, welche insbesondere zur Ausleuchtung genutzt werden kann, wenn sich Personen dem Kraftfahrzeug nähern, insbesondere um einzusteigen, oder das Kraftfahrzeug verlassen, insbesondere im Rahmen eines Aussteigevorgangs.
