Transport devices for the storage and transport of goods are known in many embodiments from the prior art. Subject of the present embodiment are those transport devices, which are transportable by means of a lift truck or forklift. Generally known embodiments are, for example, the grid box or the transport plate. On the one hand, a load-bearing structure is required to enable it to be parked on the ground. This makes it possible to move the transport device by means of the lift truck or forklift. The known lattice boxes further have a bottom plate on which the corresponding goods can be stored. In this respect, it is possible to flexibly use the grid box or similar transport devices for the transport of various goods.

Likewise, these transport devices are suitable for use in bulk goods or goods, which can be stacked on each other in an unproblematic manner or stacked together.

However, the known transport devices prove problematic for goods that can not be stored arbitrarily. By way of example, the transport of gearboxes may be named here, which are preferably to be transported in a defined position and there may be no contact or impacting of gearboxes within the transporting device.

For this purpose, it is known from the prior art to use mold nests for the individual goods. Here, each mold cavity on a complementary shape for each good shape and thus a safe transport is guaranteed. It has proven to be particularly disadvantageous if a plurality of layers of the goods can be transported in a transport device, but the necessary transport aids considerably limit the accessibility to the goods. In order to ensure the safe location of the transport aids and at the same time to exploit the maximum storage space, the transport aids are usually designed to the maximum dimensions of the transport device to accommodate the maximum number of goods to be transported. This in turn leads to the problem that accessibility to lower layers is considerably limited in a multi-layered layer of transport aids. A generic transport device for storing and transporting goods, in particular transmissions, comprises a base frame and a plurality of carrier elements. In particular, the possibility of the transport device according to the invention with a pivotable or removable support frame makes it possible to use a goods carrier, which goes beyond the dimensions of the interior of the transport device addition.
