Description
Die Erfindung betrifft einen Einpresskontakt zum Einpressen in ein Loch einer Leiterplatte nach dem Oberbegriff des Anspruchs 1.The invention relates to a press-in contact for pressing into a hole of a printed circuit board according to the preamble of claim 1.
In der Technik sind sogenannte Einpresskontakte weit verbreitet. Sie dienen dazu, elektrische Bauteile dauerhaft mit einer Leiterplatte sowohl elektrisch als auch mechanisch zu verbinden. Ein solcher Einpresskontakt weist einen Einpressabschnitt auf, welcher unter mechanischer Verformung desselben in ein durchkontaktiertes Loch einer Leiterplatte eingepresst werden kann. Meist trägt ein elektrisches Bauteil eine Vielzahl solcher Einpresskontakte, welche bei Montage des Bauteils an die Leiterplatte gleichzeitig und parallel zueinander in Löcher der Leiterplatte unter Aufbringung einer entsprechend hohen Kraft eingepresst werden. Häufig sind solche Einpresskontakte als sogenannte needle-eye-Einpresskontakte ausgebildet, bei denen der Einpressabschnitt einen sich in Längsrichtung – also in Axialrichtung – erstreckenden Schlitz aufweist, welcher zwei Schenkel voneinander trennt. Die Schenkel sind nach außen gewölbt, so dass der Einpressabschnitt in einem Mittelabschnitt eine doppelkonvexe Außenkontur hat. Ein solcher Einpresskontakt ist beispielsweise in folgenden Druckschriften beschrieben:
Die gattungsbildende
Bei sogenannten needle-eye-Einpresskontakten gibt es grundsätzlich das Problem, dass aufgrund der Schwächung des Einpressabschnittes durch den Schlitz eine gewisse Gefahr besteht, dass der Einpressabschnitt unter ungünstigen Umständen reißt. Dies kann insbesondere beim Einpressen in sehr dicke Leiterplatten geschehen. Dieses Problem besteht in gewissem Maße auch beim gattungsbildenden Einpresskontakt.In so-called needle-eye press-in contacts, there is basically the problem that due to the weakening of the press-fit section through the slot there is a certain risk that the press-fit section ruptures under unfavorable circumstances. Beim erfindungsgemäßen Einpresskontakt erstreckt sich die eingeprägte Zone vollständig um den Schlitz oder mit anderen Worten: Der Schlitz wird von der eingeprägten Zone vollständig umlaufen, so dass sich eine durchgehende eingeprägte Zone ergibt, die nicht in Abschnitte zerfällt. Hierdurch ergibt sich zwar weiterhin ein Einpressabschnitt mit drei Bereichen, nämlich einem härteren Bereich in der Mitte und sich auf beiden Seiten des härteren Bereichs anschließenden weichen Bereichen, der Übergang zwischen diesen Bereichen ist jedoch etwas sanfter, woraus sich insgesamt eine höhere Flexibilität des Einpressabschnittes und somit eine verringerte Bruchneigung ergibt. Dadurch, dass die eingeprägte Zone keine Grenze hat, ergibt sich auch keine ausgeprägte, unerwünschte „Sollbruchstelle”, an der ein Riss bevorzugt seinen Ausgangspunkt nimmt.
