Außerdem liegt der Bereich, in dem das Zugmittel an der Aktuatoreinheit befestigt ist, während einer Montage des Gassackmoduls geschützt im Inneren des Generatorgehäuses. Dies trägt somit dazu bei, daß ein gewünschtes Entfaltungsverhalten des Gassacks zuverlässig erreicht wird. Da die Freigabe des Zugmittels im Inneren des Generatorgehäuses erfolgt, ist ferner die Bewegungsfreiheit von abgetrennten Fragmenten, welche unter Umständen bei der Aktuatorbetätigung entstehen, deutlich eingeschränkt. Diese Fragmente bleiben im Inneren des Gasgenerators und können somit keine Schäden am Gassackmodul anrichten.
