Abstract

The spacer fabric (11) for mattress, bed mattress, padding material for vehicle seats, comprises two parallel fabric layers (12, 13) arranged to each other, which are connected with each other through spacer threads that run back and forth between the both fabric layers. Die Erfindung betrifft ein Abstandsgewirke bestehend aus zwei parallel zueinanderliegengen Gewirkelagen, die durch zwischen den beiden Gewirkelagen hin und her verlaufende Abstandsfäden miteinander verbunden sind, wobei die Gewirkelagen allgemein in Produktionsrichtung verlaufende miteinander verwirkte Maschen aufweisen und die Abstandsfäden allgemein in Produktionsrichtung verlaufen und mit den Gewirkelagen verbunden sind. Hierbei werden für die Abstandsfäden der Abstandsgewirke Monofile verwendet, die insbesondere aus Thermoplasten bestehen und gute elastische Rückstelleigenschaften nach einer zeitweiligen Belastung haben. Die Abstandsfäden werden hierbei vorzugsweise in derart fester Ausführung und in derart großer Anzahl verwendet, daß bei einer bestimmungsgemäßen Belastung des Abstandsgewirkes die Gewirkelagen sich nur teilweise aneinander annähern, ohne daß es zu einem Kontakt zwischen ihnen und/oder zu einem Knicken der Abstandsfäden kommt.
