Die beiden aufeinandergesetzten Schalenelemente der Grundstrukturen können dabei im Bereich von ausgebildeten Verbindungsflanschen form-, kraft- und/oder stoffschlüssig miteinander verbunden sein. Als besonders zweckmäßig haben sich insoweit Schalenelemente erwiesen, die jeweils aus einer Blechplatine nach einem an sich bekannten Tiefziehverfahren hergestellt sind. Zur belastungsgerechten Ausbildung der Grundstrukturen können die Schalenelemente unterschiedliche Blechdicken aufweisen. Wie die Erfindung weiter vorsieht, können die Querstreben einstückig als Strangpress-, Roll- oder Abkantprofile ausgebildet oder ebenfalls in Blech-Schalenbauweise aus zwei aufeinandergesetzten Schalenelementen zusammengesetzt sein. Des Weiteren ist vorgesehen, dass die vordere Querstrebe beiderends form-, kraft- und/oder stoffschlüssig mit je einer Grundstruktur direkt verbunden ist. Ferner ist vorgesehen, dass an jede Grundstruktur eine vordere Lagerhülse und eine hintere Lagerhülse direkt angebunden sind. Als besonders vorteilhaft hat es sich erwiesen, wenn vordere und hintere Lagerhülse jeweils von einer Ausnehmung in der Grundstruktur aufgenommen und mit derselben form-, kraft- und/oder stoffschlüssig fest verbunden sind. Wie die Erfindung noch vorsieht, sind jeder Grundstruktur im Bereich der vorderen Lagerhülse eine einstückig ausgebildete vordere Querlenkeraufnahme und im Bereich der hinteren Lagerhülse eine einstückig ausgebildete hintere Querlenkeraufnahme zugeordnet, die ihrerseits form-, kraft- und/oder stoffschlüssig mit der Grundstruktur verbunden sind. Gemäß einer bevorzugten Ausführungsform sind besagte Querlenkeraufnahmen als offene Hohlprofile, vorzugsweise als Abkantprofile ausgebildet. In Weiterbildung der Erfindung wird vorgeschlagen, dass die hinteren Lagerhülsen zur Steifigkeitserhöhung zusätzlich mittels eines Stützprofils in Form eines offenen Hohlprofils an der hinteren Querlenkeraufnahme abgestützt sind. Was die hintere Querstrebe anbelangt, kann diese beiderends stoffschlüssig, vorzugsweise durch Schweißung mit den Grundstrukturen fest verbunden sein. Ebenso kann es auch angezeigt sein, dass dieselbe zur Gewährleistung einer Demontierbarkeit über an den Grundstrukturen festgelegte Konsolenelemente mit den Grundstrukturen vermittels mechanischer Befestigungsmittel fest verbunden ist. Die Konsolenelemente können dabei form-, kraft- und/oder stoffschlüssig, vorzugsweise stoffschlüssig durch Schweißung an den Grundstrukturen festgelegt sein.
