Abstract

The fin has a wider surface or circular support in both transverse and longitudinal sections of the fin, where the fin is seamlessly attached at both ends of a board of a water sporting device in a driving direction and includes an edge that is not sharp. The fin is made of metal fiber, plastic fiber or glass fiber, where height of the fin is not higher than a bending height of the board.

Description

Problembeschreibung/Stand der TechnikProblem Description / Stand of the technique

A commercially available Wakeskate (too good German "Wasserergleitbrett") is equipped with sharp-edged, removable fins at the end of the board. As with all water sports equipment with fins (eg boats, surfboards, etc.) these serve to stabilize the device while driving. When practicing Wakeskate Sport, you quickly encounter the following limitations:
  • 1) Driving on ski jumps (in technical jargon "kicker") or sliding bars (in the jargon "Slider") are the Finns in the way, ie lead to damage of the obstacles and increase the risk of injury of the sports practitioner. For this reason, the persons responsible for the water sports require the dismantling of the mostly very sharp-edged Finns
  • 2) Tricks popular in other water sports, such as rotating the board 180 °, will result in unstable handling

Leads songs That too unstable driving - the board is much more difficult to control is as with Finns

Erfindunginvention

The Invention consists of a wide, not sharp-edged fin of which at least two are installed per direction of travel. The Fin is flat enough that driving over obstacles easily possible is without danger to the sports practitioner or the obstacle. In addition reserves the board a driving stability, much like with conventional fins. Next, the board can be driven in both directions, as the Finns are attached to both sides of the board. An essential Aspect here is that the Finns never become higher than the bending height of the board (see drawing 1) - by is a) a snagging on obstacles (or other things) excluded (Safety aspect), and b) the board more easily controllable.

Beispiels Ausführung:Example execution:

  • • Länge und Höhe der Finnen richtet sich nach Länge und Biegung (3) des Boards• length and height of Finns depends on length and Bend (3) of the board
  • • Dicke der Finnen ist werkstoffabhängig. Bei Kunststoffen beträgt sie ca. ab 5 mm, bei Holz ca. ab 12 mm oder dicker.• Thickness the fin is material-dependent. For plastics from approx. 5 mm, with wood approx. 12 mm or thicker.
The Lower edge of the fins must be very flat or slightly rounded to provide a large run.
