The invention has for its object to provide a filter device of the type described above with an improved filter effect.
This object is achieved by the features of claim 1. The filter device according to the invention comprises three sedimentation containers with conveying devices for discharging sediments, a pump for conveying liquid from a first to a second and / or third sedimentation container and a separator which separates solids from the liquid conveyed by the pump into the second sedimentation container , Liquid to be filtered is fed to the first sedimentation tank, where larger and heavier particulates fall to the bottom and form the sediment discharged from the conveyor. In the first sedimentation tank, sedimentation of coarse contaminants takes place. The pump delivers the coagulum-free liquid to the separator, which separates solids from the liquid and feeds it to the second sedimentation tank. The separated solids can enter the second sedimentation tank with part of the delivered liquid quantity. There sediment the solids, which are hereinafter referred to as average impurities, and are discharged from the conveyor. Despite the separator still contained in the liquid solids, the hereinafter referred to as fine impurities, pass from the separator in the third sedimentation, where they sediment and are carried by the conveyor. The purified liquid in the third sedimentation tank can be recycled for use. Although the pump is connected upstream of the separator in principle, an arrangement of the pump behind the separator should not be excluded thereby. By coarse, medium and fine impurities are meant differently sized and heavy dirt particles without wanting to set limits for the particle sizes and weights. The limits depend on the particular use and design of the filter device. Also, it is not excluded that settle in the first sedimentation except coarse medium and fine and in the second sedimentation except middle mean also fine impurities. Coarse, medium and fine impurities are three successive stages of purification, the liquid being crude with impurities in the first sedimentation tank, the liquid having medium impurities partially cleaned in the second sedimentation tank and the liquid being cleaned with fine impurities in the third sedimentation tank.
The invention has the advantage that it does not have any filters or the like which add to the solids and therefore does not have to be cleaned, at least theoretically. The separated and sedimented solids are completely discharged. Another advantage is a high filter efficiency, it comes at best finest contaminants back into the circulation. In addition, the filter device according to the invention has a good efficiency of the filter device due to the three sedimentation and the separation of solids with a partial flow of liquid into the second sedimentation and the supply of the other partial flow of liquid containing only fine impurities in the third sedimentation. The invention does not exclude any further sedimentation container. Likewise, mechanical filters, for example a filter downstream of the third sedimentation tank, are not excluded.
A preferred embodiment of the invention comprises a container which is divided by partitions in the sedimentation. The cost of producing the sedimentation is reduced and the filter device can be made comparatively compact. Furthermore, the number and size of walls decreases in comparison with individual sedimentation tanks. Also, the container must be liquid-tight only to the outside, leaks in the area of the partitions do not lead to leaks and are irrelevant to the filter effect.
A development of the invention provides that the partitions run parallel to each other, in particular, the sedimentation are parallel to each other and arranged side by side. This embodiment of the invention has particular advantages for the construction and arrangement of the conveyors for discharging the sediments.
As a conveyor, an embodiment of the invention provides a so-called. Continuous conveyor, in particular a scraper conveyor with scratches (drivers), which are connected to one or more traction means such as straps or chains and driven. Scratch or similar conveyors have the advantage that it is possible to discharge the sediments along inclined planes, that is to say along an oblique container end wall. A slow conveying speed avoids a stirring up of the sediment. Continuous conveyor does not mean that the conveyor has to be driven continuously, it can also be driven intermittently. Preferably, all sedimentation containers are equipped with scraper conveyors or the like, but this is not mandatory.
A preferred embodiment of the invention provides that the conveyors have a common drive axle and a common drive. This has the advantage that a drive motor with a gear suffices. For ease of manufacture and assembly, the conveyors may have a plurality of coaxially arranged drive shafts, which are rotatably connected, for example via torsionally rigid, non-shiftable clutches.
An embodiment of the invention provides a hydrocyclone as a separator, which has the advantage that it separates the pumped with the pump liquid flow from the first sedimentation into two streams. A partial stream having medium impurities is supplied to the second sedimentation tank and the other partial stream containing any fine impurities is supplied to the third sedimentation tank. Another advantage of a hydrocyclone are its maintenance and cleaning.
