Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Rückenlehne (12) für eine Sitzvorrichtung (20), mit einem starren Rahmen- oder Tragelement (24) und einem daran abgestützten flexiblen oder biegbaren Stützelement (26) zum Bilden einer Rückenabstützung. Um eine Anpassung an unterschiedliche Körpergrößen ohne Einstellnotwendigkeit zu schaffen, wird vorgeschlagen, dass das Rahmen- oder Tragelement (24) und das Stützelement (26) an ihren - im bestimmungsgemäßen vertikalen Gebrauch der Rückenlehne gesehen - unteren Endbereichen über ein Getriebe (30) derart miteinander gekoppelt sind, dass eine Verschwenkung des Endbereiches des einen Elements (24) eine entgegengesetzte Verschwenkung des Endbereiches des anderen Elements (26) bewirkt. Außerdem wird eine mit einer solchen Rückenlehne versehene Sitzvorrichtung wie insbesondere ein Stuhl, eine Bank, ein Sofa oder ein Fahrzeugsitz beschrieben.
