Claims (18)
dass nach der Quantisierung der Bildwerte (3) eines Blocks (2)
ein Ist-Datenumfang, der dem auf die Anzahl der Bildwerte (3) im zuletzt quantisierten Block (2) bezogenen Datenumfang der quantisierten Bildwerte (3) im zuletzt quantisierten Block (2) entspricht, und
ein Ziel-Datenumfang ermittelt wird, der dem auf die Anzahl der noch zu quantisierenden Bildwerte (3) des Bilds (1) bezo genen Restdatenumfang entspricht, der für die noch zu quanti sierenden Bildwerte (3) des Bilds (1) zur Verfügung steht, und
der Quantisierungsfaktor erhöht wird, wenn der Ist-Datenum fang größer als der Ziel-Datenumfang ist und der Quantisierungsfaktor erniedrigt wird, wenn der Ist-Daten umfang kleiner als der Ziel-Datenumfang ist.
dass die Vorrichtung einen Bildspeicher (7) zur Speicherung der Bildwerte (3) des Bilds (1), einen Quantisierer (5) zum Quantisieren der Bildwerte (3) mit einem Quantisierungsfaktor aufweist,
wobei die Vorrichtung derart eingerichtet ist, dass sie nach der Quantisierung der Bildwerte (3) eines Blocks (2) einen Ist-Datenumfang, der dem auf die Anzahl der Bildwerte (3) im zuletzt quantisierten Block (2) bezogenen Datenumfang der quantisierten Bildwerte (3) im zuletzt quantisierten Block (2) entspricht, und
einen Ziel-Datenumfang ermittelt, der dem auf die Anzahl der noch zu quantisierenden Bildwerte (3) des Bilds (1) bezoge nen, für die noch zu quantisierenden Bildwerte (3) zur Verfü gung stehenden Restdatenumfang entspricht, und
den Quantisierungsfaktor erhöht, wenn der Ist-Datenumfang größer als der Ziel-Datenumfang ist, und
den Quantisierungsfaktor erniedrigt, wenn der Ist-Datenumfang kleiner als der Ziel-Datenumfang ist.
