Description
DEUTSCHESGERMAN
Als Verbindungen für Rohre aus schweißbaren Kunststoffen sind die Stumpf schweiß verbindung und die Muffenschweißverbindung bekannt. Bei der Stumpfschweißverbindung werden die beiden Rohrenden mittels einer Heizplatte auf Schweißtemperatur gebracht und dann aneinandergedrückt und so miteinander verschweißt (Abb. 1). Bei der Muffenschweißverbindung werden die beiden Rohrenden auf der äußeren Oberfläche auf Schweiß temperatur erhitzt und mit einer darübergeschobenen Muffe;, die an der Innenoberfläche auf Schweißtetnperatur erhitzt wurde, verbunden, wobei der dazu notwendige Druck mittels entsprechend geformter Zangen aufgebracht wird (Abb. 2 und 3). Gemäß einem weiteren bekannten Verfahren wird zur Erzeugung der notwendigen Schweißwärme eine in die Muffe eingelegte elektrische Heizdrahtspirale verwendet.The butt weld connections and are used as connections for pipes made of weldable plastics known the socket weld joint. Der Grund für diesen Nachteil ist die verhältnismäßig kleine tragende Verbindungsfläche. Bei der Muffenschweißung ist zwar die tragende Fläche größer und die Haltbarkeit besser. Zur Vermeidung der aufgezeigten Nachteile wird erfmdungsgemäß vorgeschlagen, die Stumpfschweißung
derart mit der Muffenverbindung zu kombinieren (Abb. 4), daß sowohl die Stirnflächen, als auch
die Mantelflächen von Muffe und Rohr miteinander verschweißt sind. Die Erzeugung der notwendigen
Schweißwärme kann hierbei nach den bekannten Verfahren, wie Erhitzen mittels Dorn, elektrischer
Heizdrahtspirale u. a., erfolgen. Diese Kombination verringert die scharfe Umlenkung des Kraftflusses
der Muffenverbindung, während deren Vorteile — Vergrößerung der tragenden Fläche — beibehalten
werden. Zur weiteren Verringerung der ungünstigen Kerbwirkung durch den plötzlichen Übergang des
biegeweichen Rohres zur steiferen Muffe kann die Muffe gegen beide Enden konisch abgeflacht werden
(Abb. 5). Die Stirnflächen können ebenfalls konisch gehalten sein, wodurch eine bessere Verzahnung er-Muffenschweißverbindung
