Abstract

A method for allergy testing and/or for sublingual immunotherapy (SLIT), comprises placing a marked allergen carrier with a specified concentration and amount of an allergen on a mucous membrane or under the tongue.

Description

Zur Behandlung schwerer Typ-I-Allergien werden sogenannte spezifische Immuntherapien (Hyposensibilisierungen) seit Jahren angeboten. Die am meisten verbreiteste Art dieser Therapien ist die subkutane Injektion der Allergene in steigernder Menge und Konzentration. Dies bewirkt, dass der Körper das Allergen immer besser verträgt und so auch die Beschwerden wie Asthma, Heuschnupfen, Nasenlaufen usw. sich vermindern. Eine Alternative hierzu bietet in zunehmenden Maß die sogenannte Sublinguale Immuntherapie ( SLIT), die deutlich besser verträglich und weniger gefährlich ist als die Spritzentherapie. Außerdem können die Patienten diese Behandlung zuhause durchführen. Für diese SLIT werden die Allergene in kleinen Tropfenflaschen angeboten, die definierte, verschiedene Konzentrationen der Allergene enthalten und um Verwechselungen zu vermeiden in verschiedenen Farben ausgeliefert werden. Der Patient tropft auf einen Teelöffel die vorher bestimmte Tropfenzahl einer definierten Allergenlösung und behält den Inhalt des Teelöffels mehrere Minuten unter der Zunge. Das Allergen wird über die Schleimhaut der Zunge in den Körper aufgenommen. Der Patient macht diese Handlung täglich über 2-3 Jahre lang.
