Abstract
Description
The proportion of bark in most trees is around 5 to 10%. The interest in the effective use of the bark is still insufficient. The main reasons for this are the decentralized formation of the bark, their irregular lump size and their low mechanical strength. Barks are also tough and elastic raw materials that are difficult to shred and cause high mill wear. As a result of the poor breaking properties of this heterogeneous raw material with increased proportions of fibrous materials, crushed bark has poor pouring and dosing properties. Bulk from crushed bark are very voluminous with bulk densities of 0.05 to 0.2 g / cm 3 and, because of the unfavorable particle shape distribution, tend to settle under stress and vibration, which is difficult to calculate in advance. This is a major disadvantage for the use of crushed bark as a poured filler and / or insulation material. Other major disadvantages of the bark are its hydrophilic properties and its high water absorption capacity in combination with strong swelling. Crushed and dried bark absorbs water quickly and is then no longer buoyant. The water absorption capacity of dried bark is up to 400%. The bark swells so much that it creates a dense, plug-like bark mass that is difficult to drain. The bark fill would e.g. B. in the event of direct water ingress of damp material nests in the building and lose their good thermal insulation effect which they have in the dried state.
The technical object of the invention is the development of a method for Conversion of bark into a granular product with good bulk and Dosing properties, favorable and calculable compaction properties Vibration and / or under pressure, high pressure stability, good Insulation properties, high dimensional stability even after prolonged watering, water-repellent properties and good drying properties of the fill without loss of high grain strength. The granular bark product is said to be low Cost producible and recyclable after use.
The object is achieved in that the bark to a high Fineness crushed and with activated brown lignite in one spherical granules with a narrow grain size range is transferred. The bark is on a high fineness with a maximum grain size less than 5 mm and preferably smaller than 2 mm. Beater mills are used for crushing or preferably twin-screw fiberizers (twin-screw extruders).
For a high quality granulate it is important that the shredded bark with its Saturation water content or in the slightly surface-moist state for granulation is used. It was shown that when using soft lignite this as Binder, as a classification and shaping agent for the compression of the voluminous and bulky bark particles to dense and spherical granules and acts as a hydrophobing agent. This is achieved when the crushed bark and the fine-grained raw lignite in a mixing granulator when adding fine atomized water persistent with high turbulence and high mechanical Forces through the mixing organs is claimed. The brown coal is transformed to an adhesive mass with good binding and granulating properties. The Bark particles are under the conditions mentioned despite their granular, stony and fibrous form in dense and firm, spherical granules embedded and coated on the outside by a brown coal shell. requirement this is a continuous metered addition of fine-grained soft brown coal and of atomized water in the mixing granulator. The resulting raw granulate Bark and soft lignite has been chosen depending on the Process conditions a grain size of about 0-3 to 0-6 mm. It gets through alone Drying to a water content of less than 20% and preferably from 3 to 12% in a firm, water-repellent and water-resistant granulate with good bulk, Dosing and insulation properties transferred. This is achieved because of the soft brown coal due to their binding activation by drying irreversibly into a solid matrix substance with high water resistance and low hydroscopicity is transferred. The bark, like the material-related cork, has very good Insulation properties. By combining both raw materials with the help of The granulation process becomes a product as a result of a high synergy effect Characteristics generated that cannot be achieved with the raw materials alone can be. The bark / brown coal granulate meets the requirements if the crushed bark granulated with about 30 to 60% and preferably 50% raw coal becomes. Under the last-mentioned condition, granules with a sufficient amount are formed thick coal surface.
As a granulator, for. B. a mixing granulator with vortex mixing tool suitable. Usual contact dryers and convection dryers are used for drying suitable. The convection dryers have the advantage that the drying gases are direct touch the granules and thereby particularly water-resistant bark / brown coal Stand in granules.
The use of active raw coal as a granulation aid creates a inexpensive insulating granulate.
Das Überkorn wird vorher zerkleinert.50% by mass of spruce bark chips with a grain size of about 0-2 mm and one Water content of w = 62% are added by adding 50 percent by mass Raw lignite granulated with a bitumen content of 6%. In the Granule production is at least a third of the raw coal and that Pelletizing agent Water is added during the ongoing pelletizing process. The Water is injected into the granulating mixer. The water addition is 14%. The granules dried to a moisture content of w = 5.1% have a grain size from 0-4 mm. A grain size of 0.5-3 mm is obtained by sieving. The undersize with the grain size d ≦ 0.5 mm with a share of 5% and that Oversize grain with a grain size d ≧ 3 mm with a share of 4% will Granulating mixer abandoned again. The oversize is crushed beforehand.
The granules with a grain size of 0.5-3 mm have a bulk density of ρ bulk = 0.32 g / cm 3 and a thermal conductivity in the bulk of λ = 0.093 W / mK. It is firm and water-resistant, and in the event of temporary water ingress, it is easy to drain and dry without grain breakdown and loss of strength.
